I can't stop buying pretty Fantasie bras. What are your favourite styles etc?
is this a weird fandom?

This may not be a thing of beauty but it's the best bra I've bought in ages - comfortable, smooth under clothes and gives a bit of a lift. I love the way they have positioned the straps so they don't show under vests.Perfect Smile

tipp2chicago · 19/06/2012 21:37

I LOVE Freya and Fantasie. At 34GG they are IME simply the best bras out there. I currently have safely stashed away a Lacey and a Lily with loads of matching knickers in the vague hope that I will return to normal after pregnancy & BFing.

Itsgottabebags · 19/06/2012 21:38

Ooh that looks nice. What are the good things about moulded bras?

this is my favourite: www.figleaves.com/uk/product/FE-FL2024-REB/Fantasie-Rebecca-Underwired-Moulded-Bra/?size=&colour=Nude

Moulded, but the foam is very light and soft, hope they do it in more colours soon.

cardoon · 19/06/2012 21:58

Esme is not "moulded" in the same way as Rebecca is - not sure why they have described it as such - just seems like a traditional bra to me. Moulded bras are good for hiding prominent nips!

emsyj · 19/06/2012 21:58

I only ever buy Fantasie bras - they're the only brand that fit. My boobs would be round my knees if it weren't for Fantasie! I really like the Freya styles, but they don't fit the same IME. Are they the same company? The Freya designs are lovely, but the fit doesn't work for me.

ReportMeNow · 19/06/2012 22:01

If you ever venture along the A14 Northamptonshire you should pop into their factory shop (Fantasie, Freya & Rigby & Pellor, afair). A bit hit and miss but can save a fortune.

cece · 19/06/2012 22:02

I think Fantasie are more 'sturdy', I have some Freya ones but tend to wear them on nights out - they aren't so comfortable for daywear.

MrsTrellisOfSouthWales · 19/06/2012 22:03

Just about to order another Fantasie.

FunnysInLaJardin · 19/06/2012 22:07

have just bought 2 Freya Rio bras to replace the 3 I bought about 3 years ago. They really do give you the best shape. I love Freya and Fantasie, as do my larger norked friends!

FunnysInLaJardin · 19/06/2012 22:08

now cece I always thought that Freya were the more sensible, and Fantasie more frivolous!

Itsgottabebags · 19/06/2012 22:18

YY Fantasie more comfy than Freya for me. I just wishe that Fantasie used some of the fabrics Freya did. They had a lovely bird print that I would have bought on the spot if it was Fantasie.

John Lewis BTW goes in to sale On Thursday bra fans or so the SA told me today!

Itsgottabebags · 19/06/2012 22:23

Cece I got the Arabella in a BOGOF at Debenhams a few weeks ago!

OP posts:
EightiesChick · 19/06/2012 22:24

Tons of both are currently on sale in Debenhams.

beachyhead · 19/06/2012 22:26

Don't say that Jardin, I've got that one..... I don't look that imposing in it though!

GobblersKnob · 19/06/2012 22:27

I am bra tart, I counted up yesterday when I did a wash and I have 18Shock

I love Freya but don't have any Fantasie, they look a bit more 'matronly' somehow. I also wear a lot of Curvy Kate.

marriednotdead · 19/06/2012 22:27

Freya are aimed at the younger market, Fantasie are for slightly more saggy mature boobs and tend to be a firmer and fuller fit. With the exception of the Deco t shirt bra, Freya bras tend to wrinkle in the cups where the top of my boobs are not as full anymore. Fantasie fit me much better, with the exception of the full cups versions of Belle and Helena- hideous!

Someone mentioned the Eveden factory upthread. They don't make bras for R&P anymore but they have their own luxury brand- Fauve.

Funnys- stock up while you can; Rio has been discontinued.

FunnysInLaJardin · 19/06/2012 22:29

married nooooooo. I love that bra!

FunnysInLaJardin · 19/06/2012 22:30

beachy Grin She has a scary cleavage

bluecarrot · 19/06/2012 22:41

I love my freya deco for a smooth tshirt bra and v plunging yet hold wobbly boobs in place Grin. The strapless is rubbish though. (Im a 32G and went for a Wonderbra)

MavisGrind · 19/06/2012 22:42

I love Fantasie and Freya - at a 32FF they're great for me. I have found however that if you find the right place to be fitted then they can work miracles with you! I now only buy bras from a little independant place where the women just look at you and know in some mystical way what size you need and then will take time adjusting straps etc to make sure the fit is right.

marriednotdead · 19/06/2012 22:49

Funnys with the exception of 2 women out of hundreds, they make everyone look saggy and as if their boobs point in opposite directions! Please tell me you are less than an E cup or look like a supermodel? If not, ditch it!
