DH is burnt but is being all blokey about not wearing sunscreen.

I have literally had to chase him with factor 50.

Sigh.

P20 now comes in spray form 30spf and 50 spy as well as the 'old'20 (haven't seen 10spf this year) It was halfprice in a well known high street chemist Ll that isn't B*. Don't know whether it still is or not. The 30 and 50 suggest that they act as a block, whereas the 20 'allows gradual tanning' We've stuck with the 20 as that's what Freckles Features (me) and the Drama Queen (teenage daughter) have used successfully in the past. I gave the bottle of 50 to my SIL for her red head DD. Not sure this week in the West Country will have given it a proper testing however.

Llyods pharmacy have p20 on offer at half price. I got the 50 and 30, both sprays for £13 odd for both.

Don't see why not?

nappyaddict · 01/08/2013 21:05

It's £6.64 for 100ml and £12.24 for 200ml.

P20 is great however it's ruined 3 bikinis and twels etc this holiday! I usually use calypso all day and that in my opinion is better and goes on nicer and is less greasy! Never ever burnt!

I know an old thread but on hols now, first time P20, and burnt quite a bit.
Ready others must be exception but I usually use factor 15 or 20 normal and tend to sit in shade for a good few hours.
Admittedly only factor 20 but poured loads on, waited 30mins (says only 15 needed).
Still spent few midday hours in shade & sitting in bars, was also bit cloudy (I know can still tan through clouds) 2 short swims.
Perhaps max 3 hours in Crete June sunshine. I still think I should have just need ok but burnt quite badly front & back. I might have felt slightly safer than norm so perhaps exposed tiny bit more than usual but sure very similar to my normal pattern where I don't burn at all.
The odd thing is whilst quite red & sore ish originally it is still exactly the same 2 whole days and not had those areas in sun at all! I do take a day or so usual to ease if I do ever burn but seems so sign of easing, weird.
I guess just me & perhaps a fluke, I don't sweat much but maybe rubbed off on beach towels or something.

Shame as I liked the idea but £40 2 pots to last 8 days & no use after 2nd day.

the australians know a bit about sun and skin cancer and are banning all day sunscreens.

you are in the med at absolute peak uv. as you note clouds dont offer much cover.

Bignose we used P20 on oldest DC in Lanzarote in early spring. Was low 20s temp wise. They both had sunstroke after a day in the water park with DH. I was cross and told him he should have reapplied it, as they were on slides and in the water etc.
I would reapply all suncreams after that. Interesting about the Australian angle, as they are very big on their sun protection.

Can't believe there are people who still don't use sunscreen, I'm having a mole removed for biopsy on Wednesday. Yes I got burnt through not using sunscreen in the UK in may
