Possibly going out next Friday - eat, drink and possibly dance in Manchester centre - what's trendy, what sort of outfit should I wear?

Heeeelp, style know-it-alls!!

Think they've all gone home - it is poets day.

GDG · 10/02/2006 18:20

Poo - come on, someone must be around!

I think shorts are still in, aren't they? Nice wrap dress with funky print? Skinny jeans are everywhere round here. Shirtdress?

FrannyandZooey · 10/02/2006 18:50

Btw I am certainly not a style person, just didn't want your plea to go ignored!

I still think jeans, heels and a glam top looks great

GDG · 10/02/2006 19:05

Know of any nice wrap dresses? Maybe I could wear one over jeans and dress it up?

Shirt dress - what shoes?

would this look crap? I quite like the green but not sure if I'm brave enough. Black easier to wear. Could I wear such a dress with tights and knee high stretch boots?

OP posts:
Tinker · 10/02/2006 19:13

I like that, but I would wear it for work, not out, bit sensible.

FrannyandZooey · 10/02/2006 19:13

There are wrap dresses everywhere I think. Will look.

Shirtdresses with strappy heels here , look nice.

FrannyandZooey · 10/02/2006 19:14

Ooh no, I think your one is sexy. I think it would look fab with some nice shoes and jewellery.

FrannyandZooey · 10/02/2006 19:15

You know MT will be very cross when she gets in and finds us dispensing unqualified advice, don't you?

GDG · 10/02/2006 19:19

Well where the devil is she?!

What sort of questions do the style gurus normally ask? General shape/size, colouring, venue? Is that the basis?

I think the fish was saying the other day how she liked that M&S shirt dress.

I think it would look good teamed up with the right shoes and accessories.

Would be tempted though to go for some city shorts, strapy shoes and maybe one of those edwardian stylee high neck tops.

FrannyandZooey · 10/02/2006 20:04

Oh yes, Mercy, we have not done it right at all. What shape are you GDG and do you have all your own limbs etc? Are you a bit mutton or not too bad in a dim light?

Then we have to say something posh and sarcastic. That's how Malory does it.

harpsichordcarrier · 10/02/2006 20:07

MT is away in SOmewhere Posh and Sarcastic for half term
I say - shirt dresses
they ROCK
franny's right we need to know what you look like?

Mercy · 10/02/2006 20:10

Franny don't know whether to be or .

Straight talking is sometimes neccesary though (says major slob mum)

harpsichordcarrier · 10/02/2006 20:11

we need to know how big your tits are
for purely professional reasons of course

FrannyandZooey · 10/02/2006 20:16

Yes, and how fat is your arse?
