Possibly going out next Friday - eat, drink and possibly dance in Manchester centre - what's trendy, what sort of outfit should I wear?

We need more customers, this one's scarpered. Ok Fio, HC, Mercy, gather forces and let's decamp to the All New Improved Style Shop Thread while MT won't catch us heh heh

FrannyandZooey · 10/02/2006 20:25

come on girls

GDG · 10/02/2006 22:39

OK - I'm slim, size 10. Small waist and bigger bum (from side view it kinda sticks out at the back!!). Boobs just average size - not small, not big. As for looks, erm, not bad, not stunning but not ug. Hmmm. That's helpful isn't it!

I'm sort of pear shaped but not very bottom heavy iyswim.

harpsichordcarrier · 10/02/2006 23:00

something like this?

harpsichordcarrier · 10/02/2006 23:01

or this?

JoolsToo · 10/02/2006 23:17

those green shoes are very 1969

harpsichordcarrier · 11/02/2006 07:22

that was a great year

FrannyandZooey · 11/02/2006 09:18

Having a sticky out bum is good, GDG. Wherever did you get the idea that there was something wrong with it?

Strappy sandals with the shirt dress would make absolutely sure it didn't look office-y.

Kelly1978 · 04/03/2006 07:14

hello, anyone in? Smile

I'm off shopping today and need to find an outfit for sat night. I have no idea what to look for, prob goin pub or mexican, but this is cobham and so prob an upmarket pub or mexican iykwim. Budget of about £100 tops, I'm 5'11 and size 18 - still 'curvy' from having the twins! basically means I've got a fat arse. Grin

harpsichordcarrier · 04/03/2006 07:17

morning Smile
what shops do you have at your disposal?

vitomum · 04/03/2006 07:19

jeans - bootleg cut (do not be tempted by the skinny jeans). longish top that covers your bum, fitted waist to emphasis your shape and lowish neckline.

Kelly1978 · 04/03/2006 07:20

we're going to kingston, so lots of shops. Ones that go up to an 18 that I can think of would be Debenhams, john lewis, m&s, monsoon, and bentalls. There are prob more tho.

Shop is open early today, wasn't expecting a reply this quick! Smile

harpsichordcarrier · 04/03/2006 07:22

\link{http://order.next.co.uk/page.asp?b=X37&p=74&o=1\next?}

what about something like - boot cut jeans/plain ish top/ long cardigan fastening over the boobs?
if you are blessed with large norks, make sure the top isn't too high at the neck
a camisole is good
or a v neck top with 3/4 sleeves?

Kelly1978 · 04/03/2006 07:23

actually I jsut checked and kingston doesnt have debenhams, but I could go to reading which has a debenhams and also house of fraser.

I don't normally wear jeans out, i wouldn't feel dressed up enough, unless I could find jeans that looked dressy enough. hmmmm.

vitomum · 04/03/2006 07:24

a long thin light scarf thing round your neck to brighten up a plain top. have you been in evans lately? there stuff has gone really really nice.

harpsichordcarrier · 04/03/2006 07:24

do you have any nice boots?
I tell you what I think looks nice on curvy girls - tailored knee length a-line skirt, patterned tights and knee length boots

harpsichordcarrier · 04/03/2006 07:26
