Bodyshop - anything you particularly like ?

For reasons I won't bore you with, I need to buy something from bodyshop. Trouble is the last time I bought something from there I was 16 and I think it was apple bubble bath (showing my age now). I'm now 41 and less attracted to brightly coloured, smelly bubble bath.

So can anyone recommend a "can't do without" or "bodyshop does the best" item ?

Coca Butter body butter is an amazing body moisturiser. I've never had one that left my skin feeling really hydrated all day, but this did

emdelafield · 14/04/2012 21:38

This is a coincidence. I haven't been to Body Shop for years but popped in the other day to buy some wet wipes. They didn't have any but I came out with 2 bottles of hand sanitiser (one mango, one grapefruit) which smell amazing. People have been asking to borrow some.

OK I lead a sad life. For what it is worth they seemed to have moved on in the 20 years since I last hopped there and I think you could be pleasantly surprised if you go for a look.

Vitamin e facial oil and the almond hand cream....both excellent.

bucketbetty · 14/04/2012 21:40

Hemp hand cream is fab and I love their body butter

Wolfiefan · 14/04/2012 21:41

Foot stuff. Called Foot butter!
Hemp intensive hand stuff and hand oil

MagsAloof · 14/04/2012 21:43

I like the passionfruit cleanser and the body butters.

Latsia · 14/04/2012 21:45

I second (or third) the hemp hand cream. The body butters are also lovely - Olive is my regular purchase.

HazeltheMcWitch · 14/04/2012 21:46

Camomile Eye makeup remover (the liquidy one)
The absolute best, I try others but always go back to it.

akaemmafrost · 14/04/2012 21:47

Coconut Shimmer Body Butter, especially to wear on nights out with strappy dresses or tops. It was recommended to me on here actually and it's gorgeous stuff.

In fact all the Body Butters are lovely.

FizzyLaces · 14/04/2012 21:49

I love their mandarin bubble bath. And their fruity bars of soap are a big hit with my kids who wash their hands religiously when I have some so they can smiff them 'til the smell wears off Smile And their rose hand lotion is nearly as good as the crabtree and evelyn.

BornToFolk · 14/04/2012 21:57

Passionfruit cleanser is awesome. I love it so much I've stockpiled it as I've heard rumours they are discontinuing it...
Hemp hand cream is fantastic too and I like their rainforest shampoo as its SLS free.

TeaOneSugar · 14/04/2012 22:01

Banana Shampoo, makes our hair shiny and smells nice.

ronx · 14/04/2012 22:02

Thanks for the tip about the passionfruit cleanser. I'll stock up on Monday.

The only thing I buy in the body shop is body butter.

badtasteflump · 14/04/2012 22:03

Do they still do the perfume oils that they used to pour out into little glass bottles?

I used to love them when I was a youngsta Smile

LadyEmmaHamilton · 14/04/2012 22:03

The make up brushes are excellent - very, very soft and as good as things at twice the price

PuffPants · 14/04/2012 22:06

I still have make-up brushes I bought there many years ago Blush They are top notch.

Pearla · 14/04/2012 22:07

Ooh I only buy my hair stuff/shower gel from Body Shop. Ethical and very cheap really. Their ginger anti-dandruff shampoo is amazing, and a large bottle lasts me 6 months. You only need a tiny bit. I get dandruff so after years of Head & Shoulders it was like a (lovely smelling) revelation!

Their pink grapefruit shower gel is also lovely, and again, I find it lasts a really long time.
