Who wouldn't buy these leg lengthening wonder jeans?

OP posts:
McPhee · 24/03/2012 06:18

Eurgh. Gross

Even the model looks like she's on tip toes, trying to get away from them Grin

AmberNectarine · 24/03/2012 06:21

Is it just me or do thes shoes make her look like she has hooves?

OP posts:
JanePlanet · 24/03/2012 06:25

Possibly the worst mum jeans ever.

BettyBathroom · 24/03/2012 07:49

I often find myself thinking "if they look that bad on the model there is no hope for me." Are they deliberately not trying?

drywhiteplease · 24/03/2012 09:32

Totally agree! I bought this

tunic

After seeing it in store. On line it looks shapeless, granny and unflattering....on a model for gods sake.
On me ( not a model) in the right size it looks lovely with skinny jeans and ballerinas. Am actually tempted to tell their HO.....completely bonkers! Do they want people to buy their stuff?

Oh the website is shite. Pretty sure a mner's husband did/does some of the photography as sure she posted such when the hideousness of the images was mentioned a while back.

rarebreed · 24/03/2012 10:38

Hmm, per una seems to have improved a bit this year

MsNorbury · 24/03/2012 10:41

We used to have a thing "LSOS". Looks shit on sure. As a disclaimer. Was always used on marks in particular. They don't even try do they ?

MsNorbury · 24/03/2012 10:42

LSOS. Looks shit on SITE. Not sure. Dullard.

tunaday · 24/03/2012 10:59

It would be intriguing to see the CV of some of their buyers as well!!!! I don't know HOW they manage to get most things just slightly wrong each season. Colours too bright, too much detail, weird shapes, designs that everyone else has ditched. Surely there are enough people out there who could sort them out!!!!! Over the last 3 years I've bought 1 satchel and a scarf and a pair of gloves! I should be one of their 'core' customers - 51 but I just do the occasional recce round occasionally, sneer a bit and then go somewhere else. Not great!

I was given (v generously)a £50 m and s voucher from work for Christmas....I was determined to spend it on clothes and not food or children. Took me 3 months to find anything!

MummyAnnabella · 24/03/2012 17:32

Omg those jeans and shoes are horrid. I hate per una and always think when I see per una speziale that it means a new and extra speziale level of shite!!

drywhite you look lovely in that top compared to the model who looks shite.
I too think if a model can't make something look good why would I think I could but I am now disapplying that rule to m and s.

I went in yest to buy work tops and I swear I couldn't find any I would wear. When I cleared out wardrobe with work clothes bought 4/5 years ago there were about 20 lovely m and s ones. Where did it all go wrong?!

drywhiteplease · 24/03/2012 18:27

I think they have lost sight of what people want....good quality wardrobe staples....and are trying to please too many people;
Classic range is for old ladies
Per una for middle age ladies (who like ankle length skirts in wierd fabrics)
Autograph for ladies who want to look more designer
limited for trendy young ladies( but m and s just is not trendy is it?)

But there are loads of shops on the high st that cater for each one of those groups and do it better.

Try going into m and s looking for black skinny jeans, nice washable blk work trousers that fit, cotton nightwear,a bra in a 34a,a white t shirt with some Lycra,100 % wool knitwear in fashionable style I fact any knitwear without acrylic in it........I have recently looked for all of these without success.

Meglet · 24/03/2012 18:29

Thanks to MN I tend to snurk when I walk through the Per Una dept in Marks en route to the sandwiches.

I'm nearly 38 but it's all so granny-ish / crap in there Confused.

MummyAnnabella · 24/03/2012 18:38

dry White have just opened prosecco so cheers!

Agree re your collection definitions. Autograph only one I really look at. There were 2 tops there that were almost right but not quite and a bit ££ for work wear. Their actual suits nearly made me weep! So dull and crap.

I thought per una was targeted at younger ladies when it started but agree it's the type of stuff my mum wears. I honestly can never believe people buy it and wonder why that line doesn't get binned.

Only thing worth buying at min are the Brazilian knickers which are good.

drywhiteplease · 24/03/2012 18:55

Brazilian knickers ......? Mind boggles do enlighten me Confused and cheered to you too mummyA

MsNorbury · 24/03/2012 19:00

The no vpl Brazilian pants are ace. Sexy and functions.

drywhiteplease · 24/03/2012 19:02

Am going online...but will they look hideous?!!

MummyAnnabella · 24/03/2012 19:47

No as mrsN says quite sexy but no vpl. I'm a bit obsessed with not having vpl but as my size 10 bum has morphed into a 12 find a thong not quite enough coverage.

drywhiteplease · 24/03/2012 20:40

I'm going to go and get some! Look NICE!
Agree I hate VPL....in gym it's everywhere,don't people care!

drywhiteplease · 24/03/2012 20:42

I'm bored....why don't we see who can find most hideous pic on m and s website....although will be v hard to beat ambernectarine one

AmberNectarine · 24/03/2012 21:18

Magic slimming trousers
