Hello all!

OP posts:
entropypersonified · 04/03/2012 20:32

Anyone in London want any clothes, I will be having a clearout shortly (again) feel free to come and rummage - can't move with everything

Russianred · 04/03/2012 20:37

Sounds like a good decision Vin, I miss the Southbank so much. If e lease is only for 6months, surely not worth doing too much to the place? Prints and stuff to cover vile wall a good idea as you can take them on with you. When will the big move be?

Lovely jacket Ollie, really lovely.

entropypersonified · 04/03/2012 20:40

I get the keys tomorrow. Big move probably weds as I have a day off. It's been 6 years... I feel sad to leave Greenwich I do love my apartment here and I love it here but it's the only way I can get away from P! BIT STRESSED right now, not very S&B sorry Blush

I commited a crime today, I wore a big red t-shirt with paint all over it and jeggings [vom]

I need your help in more ways than one Grin

entropypersonified · 04/03/2012 20:43

I'm actually losing 3 months rent plus 6 week deposit in the process of moving, and losing a very lovely flat.. but it's not going to matter a few years down the line I hope when I am out the other side it's a bit of a transition stage

I will need your tips on where to go etc on the south bank though I don't know it that well, I lived w10,w11, wc1, se10, so don't really know the area that well at all.

Red Ive been looking for similar tops too to replace one I brought in Barcelona which has literally gone hoely through wear. Im gutted as it was my summer go to top, wore it with various cropped cardis and boyfriend jeans.

As Miranda would say, "bare with" but Phase Eight has a sleeveless one here and Warehouse has this one but viscose here

Hopefully · 04/03/2012 20:52

Hurrah Vin glad you made a decision, sound like a good one.

Ollie that jacket is really lovely, if it had an asymmetric zip I'd be ordering it [fussy]

I also need new sunnies, but am perplexed by the discovery on my style day that my face is not round, as I had always supposed, but heart shaped. Many people I have mentioned this to since have laughed, as apparently my face is quite obviously heart shaped.

Sorry to keep whining on, but when am I going to feel better? At what stage do I get I start irrationally diagnosing food intolerances?

Think I may pop in to town tomorrow and pick up warehouse shorts and TS jeans to try on at my leisure. Cannot order things online (like oushka bag) until at least weds as my mother is visiting and do not want her passing comment on my orders again.

Russianred · 04/03/2012 20:56

Agree with NYE that a dress agency a great idea for recouping costs. There's a lady who has a stall at Greenwich Market on a Thursday/Friday who sells lovely secondhand/vintage stuff - she might be interested in taking some off your hands?

Ollie that's the exact Warehouse one I've had my eye on. It felt nice in RL, but am worried that it might be a little sweat-inducing. Phase Eight very cute, but wrong shape for me. What a pain abut your Barcelona one.

blossoming · 04/03/2012 21:04

What a great weekend everything, and I completely agree re your singer being easy on the eye. Have you done 'glasses training' yet? Am I right in thinking if I have an angular face, that I should look for more rounded sunglasses?
Lol at *hopefully' and her mother!
Best of luck vin.

loobylu3 · 04/03/2012 21:07

Well done on making your decision, vin.

NYE- I think that I am probably a deep autumn as I have dark/ warm colouring. I also love that IO dress and the fact that they have finally introduced a gorgeous orange colour to their range. Can I bother you with one last link? Is this any good or a disaster- it looks like a kind of salmony pink. It's not a colour I would usually wear to be honest.
I can't believe it- the pinky blazer from Zara that I linked has also sold out! I obviously don't move fast enough.

The Mango blouse is v pretty, red

FritziGreenEyes · 04/03/2012 21:15

On iphone so just a quick hello from me.

Hugs to vin and best of luck! I have masses of curtains, I could send you. PM me measurements and I post them.

amber What a weekend you had. Hope this morning was a turning point.

mim and icey Hope you get to cuddle your newborns soon!

Bloss did you see that IO has a new Asymmetric drape dress in blue and black. here ?

Love this sequin jacket a lot more than my Zara one - bugger here

OllieinOrange · 04/03/2012 21:23

MiM IO also have grey skinny jeans.

rufus101 · 04/03/2012 21:24

Hi all, just skimming through. I find the weekends soooh busy. Was out on Friday night (going away dinner as I 'm changing job location at the end of March) and then went to local Indian with DH last night. Although I have done exercise every day, my FP and I aren't talking! I'm so impressed you lost 5 lbs Bloss. I only every lose weight if there is stress involved. And yes, I was told once by a style consultant that if you have a square face, you must wear rounded shades and vice versa. I have a square face though, and some square shades I actually like.
Amber glad your DH might be coming to his senses. I am in shock reading over the last few days. I just would not tolerate that from DH. He works, I work, and ok I get home earlier, BUT as I do so much house stuff when I get home in the evening, the weekends are as far as I am concerned shared regarding childcare and housework. DH has at this stage just accepted that I will want to go for a run, and that this must be factored into the day otherwise I just go nuts! Get a cleaner, and a shirt service. You'd be surprised how cheap they are. A local one here collects, launders and irons 12 shirts for 14 euro. And delievers them back!
NYE love the sound of your weekend, you so deserve that mini mini break. I hope it is the first of many.
Great to hear from you again Vin, I often think of you and wonder how you are getting on, so it's great to hear your update.

Ollie Love, love, love that jacket. It is just divine. Anyone find a cheaper version? Once you've tried the Belstaff though, it's hard to like anything else.
I find TK Maxx great for sunnies.

Scarfi how were the j brand majors from shopbop? Were they true to your usual size in j brand? I feel there is a j brand gap in my wardrobe. (Ahem. I have 5 pairs!)

I did very well last month and just bought the COS electric blue sweater. I have sinned already this month and bought a summery dress from Numph.websit here but can't find the dress on it. It a lovely pretty dress, with blues and pinks and the colours work well on me.
Anyway better be off. Am about to consume some rhubarb crumble and ice cream! (No, I'm still not talking to MFP!)

blossoming · 04/03/2012 21:40

ollie, I think IO is quited suite to dramatic classics. WDYT everything? I cannot be arsed with them though. Evertything just takes SO LONG!
Thanks for the info everything (pretending I understood..). I'm going to take photos, if that's allowed, for when I'm trying on at MU. My iphone has a camera that turns round, so you can take photos of yourself. I have decided not to go for the burberry trench. I think the lining is quite in your face, and it wouldn't go down very well round here. People would think me ostentatious.
Who was it said EA was in the Times yesterday? Where?
rufus, there is leftover wine. Lethal! Back come the 5lbs!

OllieinOrange · 04/03/2012 21:48

Im loving looking at the IO website as you can probably tell. Quite like their leather trimmed trench here. Sorry to hear its such a faff Bloss. What a shame they dont have a store.

AmberNectarine · 04/03/2012 21:48

Did my first bit of colour based shopping today with my whistles discount. Bought red's blue seam back tee and the Emilia striped 3/4 sleeve top if anyone can be bothered with the website (which I doubt).

DH has so far been excellent. Cooked dinner and came to pick me up from my shopping trip. Obviously he forgot the car seat so I had to take DD home on the bus anyway but it's the thought, isn't it? have just sat down from the ironing and will be researching a local ironing service this week! Thanks for tip rufus

bloss are you sultry too?

blossoming · 04/03/2012 21:58

No-one has ever mentioned that before amber, but your colours match mine a lot. Glad your dh is trying.

Great vest here for lovers of red and grey splendid

AmberNectarine · 04/03/2012 22:14

I'm enjoying the sultry description, makes me feel a bit Eva Mendes...

Russianred · 04/03/2012 22:15

Bloss it was in the main body of yesterday's newspaper.

Busy weekend indeed Rufus, hope you enjoyed it!

Nice top Amber - I have a yellow and navy version of it from last year and it has been a real go-to.

I find IO varies a lot from season to season - thy always do black, but the other colours tend to be either winter or occasionally autumn - this autumn/winter was quite good for autumns I think.

Amber not exactly a grade A start, but at least he's trying! Glad you are enjoying colour shopping.

Gut ache is ongoing, very dull.

AmberNectarine · 05/03/2012 07:07

hopefully how about trying a probiotic?
