Inspired, eh?!

OP posts:
OllieinOrange · 10/02/2012 10:11

Oh Amber I think I like, a lot. Good find, thank you. What do we think about the colour??? Description says chocolate brown and its called red clay. Looks more of a dark taupe to me tho?
It would look good with the M&S or Ants snakeskin shoes no?

OllieinOrange · 10/02/2012 10:17

MrsCB 2 mannequins were wearing that jacket in Zara yesterday - one had it on with a simple cream blouse underneath and jeans - looked great. A third had this coat on again with jeans and again looked good.

I also liked the leather details on this trench coat here and this peter pan blouse

I like that a lot Ollie - prefer it to the other HL one because you know its tighter and shorter Wink

OllieinOrange · 10/02/2012 10:20

Love those chairs Fritzi - at that price, Id say worth a go at DIY upholstery!

Hopefully · 10/02/2012 10:27

Fritzi I'm no expert, but have helped my mum with upholstery a couple of times, and it's not that difficult, as long as you take it slowly and carefully. Lots of online tutorials and books in the library.

Annie love love love that Wang blazer

Ollie HL dress looks fab. And definitely more taupe than anything else. Can imagine it going well with snakeskin.

I have ordered about a million dress/blazer/trench patterns, can't wait to get making.

Wish I had the skills to make a draped jersey dress too, but thinking will have to keep an eye out for the perfect one to buy. I am mourning the non-fitting VWA dress.

MrsCampbellBlack · 10/02/2012 11:40

Reine - you do make me laugh - I stood in jigsaw this week with the manager picking out outfits I'd wear for my imaginary office job Wink

Borgen actually made me cry - good thread in telly addicts about it.

I can't wait for Homelands to start.

Notyet - I always find this time of year very trying - have you got many things booked in to look forward to.

I just applied fake tan and about to make a lemon and polenta cake with the children. Am also trying to potty train DD - she is loving her new pants - slept with them next to her bed last night - now where does she get that type of behaviour from? Wink

notyummy · 10/02/2012 13:02

Hello all. Am draped across the computer exhausted from this week. It is allegedly m day off, however still fielding calls and emails. At least I am at home rather then having to drive through the very, very thick snow to work. Most snow in the country apparently....well at least Lincolnshire is top at something Grin

Scarf - so sorry to hear your news, and utterly understandable to feel confused and conflicted about everything that has happened. Hope you feel better soon.

NYE - Also sorry to hear you are feeling low. At the risk of sounding ridiculously simplistic, could the weather/time of year be a factor? Perhaps a visit to your GP in time if your other measures don't work.

Well done Bloss on your extra hours and also your work success Red.

The conversation between Bloss and Hopefully about height and BMI made me chuckle as it is the just the sort of thing that I would be hacked off about! I am between 5 9 and 5 10, so I also round down on the height for BMI purposes, or I feel like I'm 'cheating' Hmm. Try and keep at the mid 21 range for 5 ft 9. Not sure how that is going after Paris and stress related eating this week....v confusing tbh as scales said I was skinny after Paris, but now appear to have put on 2.5 kilos in 4 days. Shock DH says its the scales and I want to believe him, but I was very taken aback when I saw it! Will give it a few days and see if it settles down. Just did some Jillian after not being able to exercise since Tuesday because of time and feel much better.

Verity- Can't believe what your friend did tbh. You are being such a good friend and it sounds really stressful.

MrsCB- Didn't know you are a fellow runner! I am frustrated at the moment because of the snow so haven't run since last Friday in Paris. Using Jillin and the crosstrainer instead. I am also looking forward to seeing Homeland.

Amber - H and M coated skinnies here. Would recommend.

Ants - very sorry to hear about your sister. I know pregnant ladies are more vulnerable to this sort of thing. Really hope she is better soon.

Reine - glad you have the book, but quite understand the Grazia choice Grin Having already read this week's one, I am about to flick through Zest over lunch.

Dauphin · 10/02/2012 13:19

Oh scarf poor you. Difficult time, but hope you manage to get some rest and take care....good news about the bag! Kindles are fab! What a lovely treat.

Hello bloss !

Nice jacket mrscb . The fact that you are reading'Run, Fat Bitch...' made me laugh! What are you like!? Saw the article in the Times....weirdly compelling isn't it?! I like running but am just a bit wussy about running the lanes (weirdo's, and all that).

Loved Borgen too. Isn't there a new Danish series starting soon...The Bridge I think, which is supposed to be even better than Borgen.
