I really want to know what's in the Feb Feel Unique box, but can't find out on the web. Someone spill the beans, please!

Hi, I'm new here but love beauty boxes and found this looking for spoilers. I just got my She Said Beauty box today and I'm really impressed. I got:

  • Orly Miniature Nail Varnish in Black (Love it!) it's worth £5.00
  • Comfort Zone Night Kit, it's worth £52.95 for 50ml, it doesn't say how much is in it but I'm guessing about 10ml? Definitely enough for a couple of uses when I go on a short break away
  • We Are Faux eyelashes worth £9.00, if you use fake lashes they're probably good I don't tend to use them but I might try them now I have them
  • Aveda Smooth infusion trio, a shampoo worth £15.50 for 250ml conditioner £17.50 for 200ml, and style-prep smoother £18.50 for 100ml (I got 10ml of each)
collection 2000 cream puff in a beige colour (horrible unless you rub it in, in which case it's a tinted lip balm kind of thing and quite nice) worth £2.99

I also got a flowering tea sample (very excited about this and I don't even like tea!) which is £9.00 for 50g plus an Orly nail file

I love this box! I've felt let down by this months Glossybox, but this months Carmine one was amazing as well. I think She Said Beauty may be my favourite if they keep this up! In total I've worked out the box is worth about £25 which isn't too bad if you ask me! I agree that Collection 2000 isn't a luxury brand, but it is that's affordable, and considering there's one item that is 50 odd quid full size sometimes it's nice to have something that you could actually afford to buy on a whim without having to spend too long worrying about the cost, I never thought I'd buy Collection 2000 (yes, I'm probably a make-up snob) but it's actually quite nice so I may try it in some other colours

Plus, the box is so cute, turquoise with a magnetic fold-over fastening and pink tissue paper, much better than a Carmine box which is an absolute nightmare to open and I often get really frustrated trying to get into it!

StellaAndFries · 01/03/2012 14:16

Phew and I thought it was just me that couldn't get into my carmine boxes Grin

I've had a card from the postman so I'll have to go and pick it up tomorrow, I should imagine its my She Said box.
I signed up for the March GlossyBox, really looking forward to it even if it's the first box I've had to actually pay full price for Grin

LizbeeLiz · 01/03/2012 14:24

No, Carmine boxes are a nightmare, but they always have lovely products so I let them off!

I've been getting Glossyboxes for a few months now but never get them cheaper, I don't think I'm good enough at finding the discount codes. The March box better be good, I got the bad box this month and I quite liked it until I saw other people got a really expensive full-size product :(

I was so excited for my box, the postman was very late today (he turned up about half an hour ago!) but I'm glad I caught him as I love my box! I hope you like yours as much as I like mine (although from what I've seen they're all basically the same other than a face balm which some people have got)

StellaAndFries · 02/03/2012 10:10

I've picked up my She Said box and I got:
Orly mini nail varnish in Ancient Jade (will be up for swaps as I'd have preferred black)
Comfort zone good night kit
We are faux eyelashes (love them as I wear falsies a lot)
Aveda smooth infusion trio
Collection 2000 cream puff in a nude colour (will probably use one day)
Jing flowering dragon eye tea.
Orly nail file.

I've just received the alternative Carmine box. Very disappointing compared to the original as my 2 favourite products - the shower gel & steam cream were replaced with more make up. I've put the Daniel sandler eyeshadow on the BB swaps thread. Bloody hard to get into the box. I though I was going to have to get the bread knife out! I'll give them another chance next month. I'm waiting for my 1st Amarya box now.

OP posts:
cornsilkalala · 02/03/2012 12:14

stella I'll swap the jade for the black nail varnish

cornsilkalala · 02/03/2012 12:14

I didn't get a nail file!!!!

Belo · 02/03/2012 14:13

Really dissapointed in my Carmine box. I was really hoping for the Balance Me product. Instead I've got 3 full size make-up items. It is the skincare and hair care I'm more interested in. Looks like the BB swaps thread will be inundated with eye-shade housewife!

Has anybody tried the Frat boy blusher? I'm a benetint addict. I don't know if I can put anything else on my cheeks. But, I'm willing to give it a go if anybody has anything positive to say about it.

StellaAndFries · 02/03/2012 16:27

Cornsilkala I've already swapped the varnish now sorry, but my fil was right at the bottom of all the paper I didn't find it until my 3rd look in the box, if you haven't got one send them a message on FB, they have been quite good replacing people's collection 200o product.

cornsilkalala · 02/03/2012 16:40

yes found the file
I don't have that balm though

Housewife2010 · 02/03/2012 19:49

Cornsilkalala
I think it was either/or with the false lashes or balm.

MY FEBRUARY BOX HAS ARRIVED (at last)!

Worth the wait for me as well as it's all stuff I would use I got (it's in French so it's a bit of a rough translation):-

Sampar (15 ml) Peeling mousse for my face - apply twice a week, leave 2 mins and then wash off
Loreal Absolute repair shampoo (100 ml)
Bell Perfect skin matt makeup (full sized) - so a foundation
Aldem Moisturising cream thermal water (45ml) (full sized)
L'ero Phaneres - 30 capsules for hair and nails

So worth the wait and all pretty decent sized samples.

This was worth my box and I'm really chuffed, apart from the carry on getting it delivered which hopefully now the courier knows where my house is, it shouldn't be such a problem in the future.

Housewife2010 · 08/03/2012 12:13

My first Amarya box has arrived & it's lovely. John Masters Organics lavender rosemary shampoo (full size - £16), John Masters organics lip calm lip balm (full size £6), Ren Bio Retinoid Anti ageing concentrate - 2 ml pump & Inlight organic daily facial oil - 1 ml sachet. It's about £26.80 altogether.
Boxes are £10 a month, but P&P will be extra after 15 th March. I did a £100 annual subscription & also received £10 worth of points which can be put towards a 13th box. If you let me refer you we would both get an extra month added free to our subscription. So that's 14 boxes for £100, i.e £7.14 a box.

lilbreeze · 08/03/2012 12:32

I just got my first Amarya box too and although it sounds similar to yours, Housewife2010, I must admit I was rather disappointed. I got a 236ml John Masters Organics evening primrose shampoo for dry hair (I don't have dry hair), plus the same other three items as you. For £10 it seems very little, especially compared with the February Latest In Beauty box which is the only other one I've had and was packed full of goodies for less money. Don't think Amarya is the one for me!

hiviolet · 08/03/2012 22:43

I got the same as Houswife except for the shampoo which is the same as yours Lilbreeze. I don't have dry hair either but my hair is thick and prone to unruliness (especially if you have a young baby and haven't had it cut since August!) so I do like to use shampoo for dry hair to give it extra weight and smoothness. Would never have dreamed of doing that until my hairdresser suggested it.

I must say, the box isn't as fancy as Glossybox or Carmine. That's no bad thing, I'd rather have great products, but opening it wasn't nearly as exciting Hmm

Housewife2010 · 09/03/2012 21:32

For anyone interested in the Harrods Limited Edition Beauty Box, this thread will show you the 18 products available - you'll get 5 (or possibly 6 if one is a perfume) www.harrods.com/beauty/glossybox?psi=25

OP posts:
MrsBovary · 12/03/2012 11:25

I received the Harrods edition box from Glossybox today. Mine isn't too bad, though not sure about the perfume, Valentina. Also have
Lancome mascara
Clarins body firming cream
Molton Brown bath and shower
Shu uemura cleansing oil
SK-II moisturising cream

PastGrace · 12/03/2012 15:20

I got the same as you, Mrs Bovary. I think the perfume is a bit sickly, but everything else is what I wanted, especially the mascara for my gym bag.

I'm still not sure if it's quite enough to make up for the massive disappointment last month. I know the products are expensive brands, but I think I would rather have had at least one less-high-end brand but in a bigger size...

StellaAndFries · 12/03/2012 15:48

I got my box today and I'm very pleased with it, probably my best box yet! I got,
Fan di fendi edt, lovely bottle in pretty packaging, Love the scent.

Ojon damage reverse hair serum. Will definitely use.

Erno Laszlo Hollywood cream set, only tiny samples but will use them when I'm feeling better.

Burberry lipstick in rosewood, not my shade but will probably end up using at some point, lovely packaging.

Clarins extra firming cream, will probably end up swapping.

NewGirlInTown · 12/03/2012 18:44

Housewife, thanks for the link. I hope I get the Lancome Juicy Tube, my favourite lipgloss!

hiviolet · 12/03/2012 19:35

I got the same as you Stella. I'm really pleased with that selection.

MrsMeow · 12/03/2012 21:00

I got the same box as you as well, Stella. I'm pretty pleased, especially with the hair oil as I've wanted to try it for a while :) the perfume is lovely, and must be long lasting as I can still smell it faintly on the back of my hand despite a shower and at least 5 hand washes since trying it out earlier!

The Burberry lipstick feels really moisturising and is actually nice and subtle if you just use one layer.

I think the only thing I'm not fussed about is the Clarins body cream - not bad at all!

covermeup · 13/03/2012 10:38

I got the same as MrsBovary and PastGrace

I'm happy with most of it although don't know why they would send me an anti-ageing moisturiser and extra-firming body cream for a 'younger looking body'... I'm 20! I don't feel like they really tailor the box to the beauty profile you create when you sign up.
