I really want to know what's in the Feb Feel Unique box, but can't find out on the web. Someone spill the beans, please!

I got my Glossybox yesterday and was not impressed at all. So much so that I've cancelled the subscription immediately. Thought it was grossly overpriced for what it contained.

AutumnWitch · 21/02/2012 12:58

Mine arrived yesterday - got the same as dingdong. Very pleased on the whole. I'll certainly use everything.
The only ho-hum was the eyeshadow, purple isn't really my thing and it makes a hideous mess if I'm not careful, but it looks OK on as an eyeliner.

I was disappointed with mine too. I got that magic soap oldbag and re-read the label about ten times to check I wasn't seeing things. Still none the wiser as to how to use it.

The eyeshadow I got was black, which I was a bit meh about, but I'm pleased with the Paul Mitchell hair stuff, the lipgloss and the body moisturiser.

Torn between cancelling and then resubscribing with a discount code, or holding out and giving them another chance...

I've just been on to update my profile to say I spend much more on luxury cosmetics in the hope that they will send me better stuff...

Has anyone had their birthday whilst receiving glossybox? I live in hope that there's some special treat in store (hence why they want the precise date of birth, not just an age bracket or year) but my birthday isn't until September...

I just googled the company and they are American - not sure if that helps explain the weird ramblings on the bottle?

If you unsubscribe do they try to tempt you back?

StellaAndFries · 21/02/2012 20:02

I have unsubscribed and then resubscribed to both Carmine and Glossy Box and all I recieved was a sorry your leaving email and that's it. I cancel and then resubscribed to get the boxes cheaper each month.

dingdong3 · 21/02/2012 21:54

I'm giving away a Carmine box on my blog this month if anyone's interested. Closing date is this weekend. It's due to arrive with me some time from tomorrow 22nd. I'm torn because I'd like it to be good so that my winner is pleased but I'll be a bit Envy if it's fab and I have to give it away!

Housewife2010 · 22/02/2012 10:08

I've just collected my box & it's awful. My worst Glossy box nightmare. I really wanted Social Butterfly's box. I was hoping for the Br Bronner's in Lavender & dreading false nails. What did I get? Bloody leopard print false nails!
I also got the Duwop gloss in Buttercup, Paul Mitchell Quick Slip, Mineral Eyeshadow in Dusty Road& the Invigorate Shower gel. The only thing I would use is the shower gel. I'm going to Ebay the lot of it, but if any of you lust after the nails & fancy this box, PM me & you can have it for the £12.95 + P&P. Or if you're in Liverpool & want to pick it up let me know.
The December box was so good too.

I've just got my first Glossybox.... I want to know why they ask you about the sort of products you're interested in and then send you completely inappropriate products? I've got the worlds straightest hair - and very fine. So, the product to bring out my curls is off no use what.so.ever. And, they asked me if I was interested in trying out make-up products and I said No. So, why send me two?? (quite like the eye-shadow though - but glad I got a neutral shade). But, as per above, the labelling on the magic soap made me laugh so much. The body lotion is Ok and I will use. But, is it worth the money?! Mmmn. Not sure. I'm also awaiting my first Carmine box. I will see how that compares.

MrsBovary · 22/02/2012 11:42

I got the Glossybox. I liked the Paul Mitchell sample. Unsure about the rest. I received some venom lipgloss (will have to check what it was called) in an odd colour. Shimmering violet eyeshadow not really my taste either Confused Plus shower gel and Dr Bronners were ok.

I'm going to have a look at the other boxes, also think this was overpriced for what it contained.

aliciaflorrick · 22/02/2012 12:45

Mine still hasn't arrived and I mugged the postie this morning to see if he'd hidden it somewhere round my house when I was out on Monday, but nope just still not arrived yet.

hiviolet · 22/02/2012 17:01

Sorry to hear you got the dreaded nails Housewife! Grin

MrsBovary · 22/02/2012 17:32

Gosh I missed that. Leopard print nails Shock

StellaAndFries · 22/02/2012 17:56

I quite fancy the leopard print nails Blush, are you eBaying them individually or as the total box?

Housewife2010 · 22/02/2012 20:14

Hello Stella

I was thinking of Ebaying the whole box as the only thing I'd use would be the shower gel & I can live without it. Would you be interested in that or how much would you be willing to part with for my dreaded nails? BTW, would you want the box of nails or just an individual one?

OP posts:
StellaAndFries · 22/02/2012 21:39

I'd be interested in the box of nails but if you want to eBay it as a complete GlossyBox it's no worries, I bought a leopard print wiggle skirt today and thought they'd go with quite nicely :)

NotMostPeople · 22/02/2012 23:28

I was meh about mine but it's grown on me I got Becca cheek & lip tint in watermelon which was great timing as I've been thinking of trying a non powder blush, Paul Mitchel hair oil (fab like Moroccan), the eyeshadow on black which I'll use as an eyeliner, lavender hand sanitizer which will come on dog walks with me and the shower gel which will be put in the wash bag for our weekend away.

Sneezeblossom · 23/02/2012 07:19

I'm interested in buying the duwop venom if anyone doesn't want it.

MorrisZapp · 23/02/2012 09:55

Anybody want to sell or swap me their becca blusher?

AlpinePony · 24/02/2012 11:36

Glossybox arrived today (Netherlands):

Shiseido realising cream
Koh purifying hand bath
L'oreal studio secret primer
Doctor babor collagen booster cream
Duwop venom gloss
Thierry mugler perfume sample

I'm happy with it, very keen to try the primer, love lip venom and happy to slap any old moisturiser on.

aliciaflorrick · 24/02/2012 11:40

Still no sign in France but hope when it does arrive I get the same one as Alpine.

covermeup · 24/02/2012 12:59

Got my first Glossybox today.. Very exciting :) Very pleased with all of my products. About £40 worth so well worth my £12.95 I think.

Just wondered how I can review the products though?
