Sorry for poor thread title but I am hopeless at rhyming at the best of times...
Unbelievable how quickly we filled the last thread!

Had one hour on Friday before the meeting started and used my time very efficiently and bought these. They are not quite as high as the 50/50s but suit me better. Was hugging the shopping bag close to me on the train back home yesterday Grin.

ollie Such a shame that your DH isn't going to go with the job offer over here. Oh, the fun we could have!

hopefully Having you on this thread is great and I enjoy reading your posts a lot. I hope your mother doesn't find any more tidying tasks for you today. You look fab in your wedding pictures.

annie Hope you got all your work done last night and have the chance to get some rest today.

red We have our hob on our kitchen island too. We couldn't decide on backsplash for ages. Haven't had one for ages and it is absolutely fine. I do most food preparation stuff on the island anyway.

Have lovely Sundays everyone!

Fritzi so glad you love the scarf, I'm really enjoying wearing mine. Also liked the one you linked to Hopefully - would you mind linking again, it was a love scarf or something Smile I can recommend a pink trench, I still love the one I bought last year.

Reine your DDs are beautiful - a wonderful example of hybrid vigour. My DC are also hybrids but DH and I are close in ethnicity. My DD does have beautiful hair though, a real mix of browns with a bit of black, totally different from either of us.

Carciofi great discount on the Mulberry, it's a beautiful bag. I've been thinking about a PS1, but can't justify. Frustrating when DH working in Glasgow is costing us almost a PS1 every month!

Hopefully · 03/02/2012 21:36

Zembo it was a Love Quotes scarf. I think I'm going to order one or three.

Are the Stella and Dot necklaces good quality? I've been contemplating one, but it's not cheap, and I suspect I could get something similar (long, beads, pendant) from Topshop or similar.

MrsCB boden jacket is lovely, but I need a collar.

Have just spent the most appalling sum on underwear - only one of the new bras I just ordered fitted, so the rest have gone back (thank god for free returns) and I've ordered a second batch.

MIM and blue one of my favourite things about being in hospital after giving birth to DS2 (apart from, you know, having a new baby) was having unlimited time to sit around doing nothing and read magazines, books etc. I just left DS2 latched on and chilled out for 3 days! Obviously the downside was c-section recovery, but it's a price worth paying in my book Grin

Have decided to order VWA dress. Right now. I will just keep harping on about it otherwise.

MrsCampbellBlack · 03/02/2012 22:13

Hopefully - 3 days! They chucked me out after 24 hours after my 3rd c-section as apparently I knew what I was doing.

I was so cross as had been banking on a mini break. Luckily as DS2 had contagious chicken pox - I holed up in my bedroom with DD whilst wonderful in-laws took over.

Hopefully · 04/02/2012 08:12

MrsCB I was lucky - I had some v minor problem with wound pain, and it was pretty quiet, so they didn't throw me out - I was in from Tuesday morning until Friday afternoon! Practically worth having another child just for the break Wink

I am wrapping up in every layer I own this morning - we're off to clear out the allotment and get it ready for more planting. Brrrrrrr.

ApuskiMcClusky · 04/02/2012 08:19

Morning! I'm off to a Boden party this morning (the things you do to meet people eh?) - is there anything people want reporting back on on what it's like in reality? Not sure how much stock will be there, not been to one before, but I'll do my best.

Fleecy · 04/02/2012 09:03

Wow - I asked to go home the day after my section. Hate being in the hospital, am relaxed at home. Getting home was grim though as was having 5 visitors in my living room on my return...

Never heard of a Boden party - I joined the playschool committee to meet people, Boden sounds infinitely preferable Confused

Lovely necklace hopefully and zembo - I do like a good 'statement' necklace.

Also glad you ordered the dress hopefully - it looks fab and you never know, you might be able to get it out of your system this way. Or it could be perfect and you'll just want to keep it Grin

blossoming · 04/02/2012 09:19

Morning everyone.
Totally agree portia, you're not going anywhere!! You belong on this thread!
Are you feeling better today mim? My love of trashy magazines has diminished since ollie (yes I'm blaming you Wink) introduced me to the daily mail website. Not a bad thing not having Heat lying about. Would love a notebook ollie, but at MU would be fine. Can I paypal?
I have downloaded Master your Metabolism by Jillian Michaels onto my Kindle in the hope I can sort out my problems once and for all. If not, I guess it will be Making the Cut next.
I am disappointed with the 'storm' colour from boden. I was hoping it was a new name for 'slate', but sadly not. It is too blue, more like smoke. But the dcs clothes were a great success. Both have kept them on. Isn't that the measure of success marsha?
Love your dedication to the cause ny. I can just imagine my DH's expression if I tried to work out on holiday. I'm just about able to do '10 minute target training' while they fetch the morning bread. I will admit I never work out on a Friday night, but after reading your post, I changed my mind!
Did you get any snow ollie, fritzi? We were supposed to go for a day out today, but the forecast is too unsure, so a quiet one at home. The worst kind for me. I hate not having something constructive ie excersise or shopping to focus on. Maybe I'll just read my new stash of magazines.
Boys will be watching 6 nations no doubt. DD looking at herself in the mirror in her new purple skinny jeans!
Enjoy the boden party apuski. I am hopeless at joining in. Hope you meet some nice people.
Waving at everyone, and looking forward to hearing of your weekends.

OllieinOrange · 04/02/2012 09:28

Feeling a bit wobbly this morning. Wasn''t sure why until DH pointed out that I managed to drink a bottle of cava by myself last night - whilst watching Midsummer Murders would you believe. Not good.

Fleecy I meant to say how much I loved the wallpaper in your kitchen/diner - went really well with the style of the kitchen.
Apuski Id like to go to a Boden party -would be nice to see stuff up close. Enjoy.
Red glad the interview went well.

I had to stay in hospital for 4 days with DS1 due to weird complications. There was this Mum on the ward for 2 days whose baby had to be in another hospital as he had heart problems - she was amazing about it but I couldn't believe they made her stay in a different hospital from the baby and in a room where there was 3 other Mums all with their newborns. A filmcrew from Hospital Watch or something turned up to interview her - needless to say I hid behind my curtain for the duration! There was another Mum who was frightfully posh - she was talking about naming her baby Augustus Caesar after the month and C section she had. Shock

With DS2 I was out within 6 hours but had the Kramzorg (baby nurse) who came to help for 7 hours a day for a week (standard care over here, brilliant system) so was able to indulge in lots of bed and magazine time.

I missed this jacket when I browsed the Great Plains stuff - I like this look a lot summer jacket

Having dinner with 2 sets of neighbours this evening. I have to make desserts and am going to attempt a mocha roulade filled with cream and raspberrys - but remembering how hard it looked to roll on the GBBO, Im also going to have apple crumble as a back up!

Hopefully · 04/02/2012 11:27

I have just tried on my 28" Agnes and they fit. I have not had a 28" waist since I was 23 and ate nothing for three months following a horrible break up. Minor muffin top situation, but that's what boyfriend cardigans are for, right?

We are off to Pizza Express for lunch. I anticipate eating cake and having to undo the Agnes for the journey home Grin. And if the cake isn't nice I'm travelling over to Ollie's to steal her pudding. Sounds totally worth the flight.

Bloss I hate 'free' days with no plans too. We have started scheduling in things like digging at the allotment, cleaning the house and watching a film in the family calendar, or we end up filling our weekend with seeing friends and family and not having enough time to relax and do essential chores. I normally work one day on the weekend too, which helps. Made enough sales this week to more or less cover the price of the VWA dress, so am v happy.

Fleecy · 04/02/2012 12:22

Yay for waistlines hopefully - am envious as mine is still hiding under a layer of podge.

ollie am a fan of Midsomer Murders much to DH's disgust. I know it's not cool but I always enjoy it, however far-fetched. That pudding sounds delicious - good luck rolling it up, hope it proves surprisingly effortless.

Quiet day here - popped in to Boots to pick up the June nail polish I ordered and also did a Poundland run to stock up on cleaning products, toothbrushes etc. Chanel and Poundland in one go amused me. Also went to the library. Now at home settling down to read library books while the children are enjoying Just Dance. It's amazing how having children teaches you to block out noise!

AntPants1 · 04/02/2012 13:12

Hello. Have been missing for the last few days as am swamped at work. Have been seconded full time to a project till April but my deputy has refused (long story) to act up as manager for my team whilst I am on secondment so have 2 jobs at the moment. Has been a crazy couple of weeks so I am afraid I am only going to be able to dip in and out of the thred for a bit.

Any enough about me! MIM my lovely I am so sorry to hear you are so poorly. Please get better soon.

ollie I love the link to the Kew scarf and am tempted. I think that peachy colour will work well on with our colouring.

reine and ny a belated happy birthday.

blossoming · 04/02/2012 13:48

You poor thing ants. Still, will you be rewarding yourself with the MJ bag at the end?

AntPants1 · 04/02/2012 14:49

Hello bloss am rewarding myself big time with MJ bag next month don't you worry!!!

blossoming · 04/02/2012 15:41

Really pleased to hear it ants. You work so hard.

blossoming · 04/02/2012 15:58

I was looking through the Great Plains catalogue. I liked this top, and if I was in the market for a breton top, could be tempted by this one.
I am catching up on last week slowly, and wanted to say, your outfit for the interview sounded gorgeous and chic red. Hope you get it! A foot in the door...

Hopefully · 04/02/2012 16:06

I've not really studied Great Plains yet, but I'm quite liking this instead of a breton for me and this maxi dress. Am determinedly resisting the urge to buy SS stuff though. It was, after all, -3.5 this morning on the way to the allotment... Oh, and I already spent a terrifying sum on underwear and VWA dress this weekend. Maybe next week... Grin

AntPants1 · 04/02/2012 17:23

OllieinOrange · 04/02/2012 18:22

Ants work sounds tough, great idea about MJ as a reward though. Which one do you have in mind?
I thought these M&S snakeskin shoes looked a good buy click on the Natural colourway but LOVE those you have linked too. The ankle strap would help me keep them on when staggering walking.

Have just rolled my roulade (watched a Mary Berry clip on You Tube) and am (overly) excited by the results!

MiM how are you today? Todays virtual treat from me is a plate of the brownies I made earlier and a slice of the roulade.

blossoming · 04/02/2012 19:01

Well done on the roulade ollie. Any photos??

Russianred · 04/02/2012 19:20

Well done on the roulade Ollie, sounds delish. Wish I'd had a Kramzorg, sounds like a brilliant system - 3 days stay for me with each, post C-section. There was a lovely lady on my ward first time round who brought my breakfast to me the morning after DS was born and made me eat lots of her fruit to get things going. She had a set of twins and one was with her, the other in ICU with a rare heart condition. She was amazing and I often think about her and how they all got on.

Ants work sounds crazy. Can we have a link to the MJ? I think all of those Boden tops would suit you very much -particularly the first one.

Thanks Bloss - I felt the right combination of smart and stylish. Have been thinking about plenty over the course of the day and really hope I hear back from them with some good news.

Hurrah on the Agnes Hopefully!

Any joy at the party Apuski?

DH is out at a Moose do tonight (apparently what the stag/hen is called for his friend who is having his Civil Partnership later in the year), so I plan to gorge on Ben and Jerrys (which I'll regret later, but hell) and series 3 of The Good Wife, which I hadn't realised has begun again and have 4 episodes to watch. Bliss.

AntPants1 · 04/02/2012 19:29

red enjoy your evening. Sounds lovely. Here is the bag I am lusting after www.shopbop.com/classic-hillier-hobo-marc-by/vp/v=1/845524441918482.htm?folderID=2534374302150411&fm=other-shopbysize-brand-viewall&colorId=12867 bloss and I went and stroked be when we met up in Harvey nichols!!

AntPants1 · 04/02/2012 19:30

Stroked one!!!

loobylu3 · 04/02/2012 19:49

Evening everyone. Tis really cold here and a bit of snow falling. DC have had tennis and been playing outside with friends. DS is much better but I am insisting on early bed time tonight! Maybe I will paint my nails after all with the new April polish! DD1 spotted it (she is v good at noticing everything that one) and said that she needs her nails painted too. I think not, at least not with my brand new Chanel polish. :)

Talking of recovery in hospital, can anyone describe their Elective CS experience for me a bit (PM if you prefer not to make it public)? I have had 3 straightforward SVDs but for several fairly minor reasons, am considering ELCS. I'm obviously put off by the longer recovery as was up and about immediately doing everything post VD. Was it v painful and how long before you could move about, lift baby, feed comfortably, etc?

ollie- thank you so much for the Oushka bag photos. The colour does look on the reddish side of tan so not sure now.
I like the GP jacket a lot. I think it would be a really useful thing to have.
Oh, I think you asked about the sex. We did find out (far too impatient and nosy not too). I wonder if I should keep quiet for now though in case red or anyone else wanted to predict!!

fleecy- beautiful DC and kitchen. I like the wallpaper. I tend to like neutral backgrounds but with a splash of colour otherwise I get a bit bored.

*hopefully-congratulations on the weight loss. Your hard work has paid off. I liked he first pair of Aldo boots a lot (the ones you decided to keep).

Red- well done on the interview and perfect choice of outfit!

ants- I like the look of the heels (pied a terre and Hobbs) and the first two Boden tops- not sure they whether or not they would suit me but I do like them. That model is very pretty don't you think? The Afro Caribbean model is also v striking. They seem to have got younger models this season, considerable younger then most of their clientele which is probably not a good thing!
Having said that I am not a leather jacket person, I liked [http://www.boden.co.uk/en-GB/Womens-Coats-Jackets/WE329/Womens-Leather-Biker.html this]] a lot.

I'm tempted to try this playsuit for DD1. She had one last Summer from H&M- navy with little white floral design and adored it.

Where is blue? Wondering of we may get some exciting news soon. Nice Stella and Dot necklace.

The necklace I ordered from my wardrobe has arrived and not sure I like it. It is much heavier than anything I have worn before and the gold is more yellow gold that I had thought it was. Will perhaps try it on later again later and decide.

MrsCampbellBlack · 04/02/2012 20:07

Looby - I've had 3 c-sections and recovered very quickly from all 3. The only thing with the 3rd was that I did too much too quickly - as picked DS up who was only 19 months and that led to quite a bit of bleeding.

But have never had any problems with my scar and bf fine after them. Also very little pain afterwards - with DD - I had her at 8.30am and by 7am the following day, I was up, showered, hair done and make-up on - no wonder they sent me home Wink

Also drove after 3 weeks with all of them.

Actually the worst thing was the shoulder tip pain but that didn't last long. I have been pretty lucky though with my experiences of c-sections.
