Sorry for poor thread title but I am hopeless at rhyming at the best of times...
Unbelievable how quickly we filled the last thread!

Had one hour on Friday before the meeting started and used my time very efficiently and bought these. They are not quite as high as the 50/50s but suit me better. Was hugging the shopping bag close to me on the train back home yesterday Grin.

ollie Such a shame that your DH isn't going to go with the job offer over here. Oh, the fun we could have!

hopefully Having you on this thread is great and I enjoy reading your posts a lot. I hope your mother doesn't find any more tidying tasks for you today. You look fab in your wedding pictures.

annie Hope you got all your work done last night and have the chance to get some rest today.

red We have our hob on our kitchen island too. We couldn't decide on backsplash for ages. Haven't had one for ages and it is absolutely fine. I do most food preparation stuff on the island anyway.

Have lovely Sundays everyone!

New season whistles looks lovely red. We'll have to make sure we're not dressed the same at MU!
You will be pleased to know, that I have transferred the first £100 to my savings (which had £4.27 in it) as I thought of the bag yesterday and yesterday was still January. So feeling very pleased. And have bought 2 pairs of slim jeans for dd in the indigo and hyacinth, and one pair for ds, and I have bought each a top. I sneaked in the boyfriend cardigan in storm too. So my first February purchase can go on the next list! Got a 20% off code though, so not quite as painful as it could have been. I should have added this frilly bikini for dd too. She is such a dumpling, she will look gorgeous in it.

AmberNectarine · 01/02/2012 21:43

Are we doing monthly listings on the last day? That could be interesting!

So far have bought nothing in Feb Grin

Good on you for starting your bag fund bloss, I need to do something like that!

Hopefully · 01/02/2012 21:48

Grin Amber. Thanks for the dress feedback, I was wondering what a linen mix knit might look like. Will peruse Gap site for shirts.

I am listening to the Jillian Michaels podcasts. I think Shred is doing something to my brain. Does it have subliminal 'listen to Jillian' messages? I heart her.

I have decided I need a love quotes scarf. They are rather nice. There are loads of colours on eBay, am choosing between about five.

Looby how said that you can't make the meet up Sad

Red I am a spreadsheet fiend. I love them. Even more than I love Jillian. I have had spreadsheets for budgets, wedding planning, baby shopping lists, work planning, everything you can possibly imagine. I used to spend quite a lot of my old job analysing and playing around with spreadsheets, and had to pretend to hate it along with everyone else so I didn't look like a freak Grin

notyummy · 01/02/2012 22:10

Thank you so much for your kind thoughts re dd. I will stop mulling it over whilst away as Bloss says and gave a chat to the teacher next week. I know in my heart she is a happy little thing - just want to make sure it continues and I know some of the children seem to have people round to play regularly. Human Nature to think the grass is always greener I suspect!

Hopefully- I also have a slight girl crush on Jillian. I get regular updates from her on FB and she always seems to be drinking tequila/wine in exotic places, which makes me like her even more Grin.

DH working from home this am, is on the school run, so I have 15 mins to MN before looking busy on his return.

NY does DD's class have a class Mum who has contact details that she is allowed to share? Agree that talking to the teacher is probably best. Your DD always sounds so happy and content so I'm sure she is the same at school.

Reine thanks for letting me see your great photos, DDs are adorable as are the cakes. Loved the cookies - the gingham star was a great touch. So professional looking.
Hopefully I liked reading about your spreadsheets. I'm a list maker. One of my favourite things (and I am fully aware of how sad this makes me seem) is a proper To Do book which has cooumns of tick boxes - so satisfying!
Icey I shouldn't really moan as I picked up the Byron bag for 40% off last week, the extra 10 % would have paid for the P&P tho!
Marsha good for you, sounds like you made the right decision.

Carciofi thats a really lovely DVF blouse - did you order it?
Red maybe look upon tomorrow as good interview experience? I LOVE the Whistles breton jumper. Liked the coral jeans on the website too but a bit too orange for me, may look for some a little less bright. Í have a coral itch that needs scratching!
Looby shame about the MU. Hope you can indulge in some W&A time the following week tho.

So. my January spends were:
Tan Byron Oushka bag - 119 pounds plus 15 pounds P&P
Grey Boden jumper - still to arrive - 44 pounds
White Boden jeans - awaiting replacements - 47 pounds
Raspberry NL jeans - 19 euros
Zara silk fronted jumper - 27 euros but may return
Black ankle boots with front zips - 70 eros

Seems loads written down like that - and over my monthly budget which should also include haircuts and facials.

Have returned the HL and Cee Me dresses - the CM were ok but the back had a v deep V which meant it kept rolling off my shoulders. A size smaller would have been too tight across the hips. Am now starting to fret a little about MU outfit!

OllieinOrange · 02/02/2012 07:36

cooumns? columns!

AmberNectarine · 02/02/2012 07:42

ollie where did you get this To Do book? I must have one! Shame about the dresses, but I'm sure the perfect MU dress is just around the corner!

Wow to all the anniversaries, my DH have had a bit of a whirlwind romance - two DCs and a wedding all in not quite 4 years!

AmberNectarine · 02/02/2012 07:43

My DH and I, obviously. Moron.

OllieinOrange · 02/02/2012 07:54

Amber its a cheap notebook from a shop over here here. Can easily pick one up for you and send over?
This one looks nice too but no tick boxes Smilehere - in fact the whole site is notebook heaven! I think I need to the gift wrap storage bag too!

blossoming · 02/02/2012 08:16

Can I have one too ollie?
I'm thinking of getting the grey jumper too, and wear it over breton or over white shirt. I used to do that years ago, don't know why I stopped really!

I want to pick your brains notyummy. I'm doing 6W6P, and I'm sure I see results on my midsection, which as everyone knows, is the bane of my life. I don't have time to do shred aswell, but I want to know if you think this on its own will be good for arms too. I am obsessed with my wannabe toned arms. They are pretty good, but I want to maintain them. I do the diagonal get ups etc with extra weights. And find the one armed plank twist things and spider planks difficult but satisfying. Maybe I should do 5 minutes of Circuit 3, strength shred afterwards?
Sorry for hijack. Hope you're having an amazing petit dejeuner!

Morning to everyone. I'm going to be late for school...

MidnightinMoscow · 02/02/2012 08:25

Crazy post from me, excuse typos etc.

I am in hospital, with a suspected blood
Clot on my lungs. Having tests, but have stated treatment.

Failing to look stylish with an oxygen mask
Though. Am ok, in the best place. The thread is reminding me of beautiful things whilst I here. Tis like therapy.

Hello to all, can't post loads as
Have drips
In both hands

Bye for now

notyummy · 02/02/2012 08:37

MIM- please, please rest. That sounds very scary and I am really glad you are in the best possible place. Will be thinking of you and am sending you healthy vibes for a speedy recovery.

AmberNectarine · 02/02/2012 08:47

Oh MiM! What an awful run of luck you've had! As bloss says, rest, rest and then rest some more! Thank goodness you're in the right place and being looked after. Can't express enough how much I hope you are on the
mend soon! Sending lots of love your way x

Emo76 · 02/02/2012 09:24

Oh mim that is just awful. Puts my problems (bad day at work and husband pressure) in firm perspective. Take care xx

Hopefully · 02/02/2012 09:25

Bloody hell MIM, you poor thing! Glad you are getting good care and hope you make a speedy recovery. Am sure you look v lovely despite oxygen mask Smile

The list love is making me happy (my blog, after all, is named after my list obsession). I use a Moleskine notebook, but sadly it does not mix well with my preferred writing implement of a fountain pen. One day I will find list Nirvana - the perfect notebook pen/combo.

I am also wondering about MU dress Ollie, and spend far too much time wavering about the VWA dress I fancy. I should just order it and be done, but don't want to waste the postage cost. Maybe I can engineer a trip to London one day soon and try it on somewhere. Surely I must be due a stock replenishing trip to Liberty soon...

I am feeling v domestic as have just prepared dinner and it's not even 9:30am. And blow dried my hair.

MrsCampbellBlack · 02/02/2012 09:28

MIM - take care!

Russianred · 02/02/2012 09:30

MiM how horrible for you - hope treatment isn't taking too much out of you and that you're being looked after well. Big, big hugs. Rest as much you can xx

Ollie I am wearing it today with navy skinnies and wedge desert boots. It is so, so comfortable and a lovely fit. Would highly recommend. Am also on a coral hunt - may have tracked down a lovely pair that I am going to try today and will come back to fill you in. Shame about the dresses.

Hopefully I remain in awe. I, um, don't know how to use/create spreadsheets. Could just about read them when doing exams analysis...

MarshaBrady · 02/02/2012 09:41

MIM my goodness you poor thing. Lots of good vibes, hope you are ok very soon.

OllieinOrange · 02/02/2012 10:09

MiM really sorry to read whats happened to you. Hope you are receiving the best of care and are as comfortable as you can be. Sending you lots of W&A love and hugs x

I always feel helpless in situations like this so will try to help with a little distraction, a blog recommendation:
Letters of Note is a wonderful blog/website which posts letters/correspondence written over the years by all sorts of people - some are hysterically funny, moving or sad but all a joy to read. I love receiving them in a couple of emails each week.
Have a browse on letters of note

And if I was nearer, I would be popping in with a jar of Ollie's shortbread stars, Grazia and a some ribbon to style your oxygen mask. Smile

Does anyone else have any distractions for MiM???

ReineDeSaba · 02/02/2012 10:18

mim you poor thing..I filled up when I read your post..you have not had an easy time at all but so glad you are where you are getting the treatment you need.gives tentative/knows it's against MN rules (())

ApuskiMcClusky · 02/02/2012 10:22

Oh, MiM, so sorry to hear you're unwell, I hope you're not feeling too uncomfortable at the moment. Thinking of you.
