Sorry for poor thread title but I am hopeless at rhyming at the best of times...
Unbelievable how quickly we filled the last thread!

Had one hour on Friday before the meeting started and used my time very efficiently and bought these. They are not quite as high as the 50/50s but suit me better. Was hugging the shopping bag close to me on the train back home yesterday Grin.

ollie Such a shame that your DH isn't going to go with the job offer over here. Oh, the fun we could have!

hopefully Having you on this thread is great and I enjoy reading your posts a lot. I hope your mother doesn't find any more tidying tasks for you today. You look fab in your wedding pictures.

annie Hope you got all your work done last night and have the chance to get some rest today.

red We have our hob on our kitchen island too. We couldn't decide on backsplash for ages. Haven't had one for ages and it is absolutely fine. I do most food preparation stuff on the island anyway.

Have lovely Sundays everyone!

Ollie fwiw i like double pencil pleats and possibly eyelets (but perhaps not if the room is quite sophisticated, I always think eyelets is quite a laid back look). Tab tops always strike me a bit of ikea curtains for some reason, and triple pleats can look a bit ott, but MIT be good with high ceilings.

NYE sorry you're low. I have Seven Secrets of Yoga, but it's definitely more of an exercise yoga DVD than a woo yoga DVD, iykwim, so probably not right for chilling you out/being relaxing after a day at work.

DS2 is having a decent nap and DS1 is watching tv, still in his pyjamas, so have had a chance to rest and consume lemsip, and feeling a bit more able to tackle the day. Have even managed to write the first couple of emails required for my 'career plan' made on the weekend.

Dauphin well done on weight loss! Even if it did come from illness... Mine has utterly stalled since my scales broke (I need daily weigh-ins), hope new scales arrive soon.

notyummy · 30/01/2012 10:42

NYE - I have Kristin MacGees MTV Yoga (naffola title I know.) The first bit is quite exercise-y, but the second half is lots of stretches and I find I feel really relaxed by the end. It is about 50 minutes. Would recommend - would also perhaps kill two birds with one stone (exercise and relaxation.) Doesn't burn hardly any calories, but nice workout for waist in particular. If you alternated with some other stuff like shred on NMTZ/BFBM it would give you a good mixure.

loobylu3 · 30/01/2012 10:50

Thanks MIM- have ordered. A Chanel nail polish just accidentally slipped into my bag too :)

ollie- double pencil pleat for me too.

ReineDeSaba · 30/01/2012 10:52

morning!what a treat yummy trip sounds intriguing.

nye it is really difficult when your family aren't good at offering you emotional support and you are setting yourself high standards.you are doing an amazing job shouldering so much.

hopefully sorry you are all poorly..have added you, red and looby as friends so you should be able to view pics.

yes bloss I made the cake for the party and cookie favours for school..don't think I need to bake again for a while!

MIM i am slightly anxious that I am kidding myself on VWA as I most definitely, certainly do not have boobs!

am determined to e bay some bits before I consider SS wishlist, though do love ollie's mango link and nye's bikini link(sorry john lewis won't let me link Confused

Cannot contribute to the curtain discussion as we don't have a single one in our house.

Had the best morning having coffee at a friend's house. Bell rang and she took delivery which we immediately unpacked and ohhed and ahhhed about Smile

Hate typing on iphone...

She got a shiny red KitchenAid!

Although we have known each other for a few years now, we have only discovered today that we both love Jillian's 30 day shred Smile

Thanks for curtain advice - double pencil pleats it is. Bit nervous about ordering them without DH's translation skills it has to be said.

NY London trip sounds great. Wonder what DH has planned? Glad you got a de-bobbler too!
NYE I second Ambers suggestion of buying some flowers, I brought a small bunch of pale pink hyacinths last week and they are on the table in a little white vase and smell wonderful everytime I walk past them. I too think you have been amazingly strong about your situation over the last year and really admire how you have been able to focus on your new career path. I did Level 2 last night too - I'd forgotten about all the planks.
Reine can I see you pics too please?

Fritzi loved how you built the KitcheAid suspense. I was convinced it would be a handbag!

Lovely pictures, reine- beautiful DDs. Are they mixed race like mine? The cakes are amazing. I'm afraid I don't have the patience to do anything half way as complicated.

Russianred · 30/01/2012 13:04

Afternoon all, am popping in to post and, inspired by you all, am going to do level 2 of Shred whilst DD sleeps, have been hanging around doing level 1 for far too long!

Great haul NY and how exciting re. weekend away. Despite my controlling 'involved' nature, I do love being whisked away and surprised. Can't wait to hear all about it. Maybe there'll be time for a shop to spend birthday money?

Hope you're feeling better Hopefully.

MiMI think I might pop to Broadway on the 17th pre-MU- if anyone fancies joining me let me know (not suggesting you would be up for it with a very new baby btw).

Yes to double pencil pleats Ollie.

NYE you really are doing a sterling job and although I was a relative newbie this time last year, definitely sound to be in a better place now. I guess you can only look forwards (when is your training?) and upwards. But for the now, I second the buying of flowers - something uplifting about fresh flowers.

Am still enjoying the kitchen - we baked some lovely blueberry muffins this morning from the River Cottage book which were v healthy - spelt flour, natural yoghurt etc and then made carrot and ginger soup for lunch. I set DS up with a chopping board and sharp knife (under v close supervision) and he really loved helping and getting involved. He's really growing up atm and it's making me proud and teary all at once.

Boden delivery arrived this morning - lovely bits for DD and the Johnnie B Breton dress for me. I ordered a L and it is a good fit - well above the knee and the cotton is of a very good quality. Thanks for the spot Fritzi and the 20% off code Ollie!

Russianred · 30/01/2012 13:06

Reine those cakes are all amazing - wow! And your girls are completely gorgeous, of course.

Me too NYE, this is the baby and toddler one and we've had lots of success with it! How long is the course? If XH has the annual leave, might it be worth suggesting a 5 night camping trip or similar (assuming course is during the week) for one of the weeks for the two of them? Would be nice for a portion of the course for you not to have to worry about getting to a certain pick-up place at a specified time and be able to really immerse yourself in it.

Hopefully · 30/01/2012 15:35

Awesome cakes Reine! And your DDs are gorgeous.

I am feeling v shortchanged because despite playing with DS2 for ages while DS1 trotted around at soft play, he has only napped for 20 minutes this afternoon. Was looking forward to a nice peaceful cup of tea!

Am loving my teal j brands, getting loads of use out of them - paired with mustard t-shirt, leather jacket and new bargainous sale scarf today.

Brora order has arrived, looks lovely and I need to decide which one piece of the three I have ordered to keep. Boyfriend cardigan or long line jumper? Which do I need more? Suppose long line jumper can be used for slouching around house and being seen out and about more easily. Hmm.

Hopefully · 30/01/2012 15:48

Ooh, and yy to River Cottage cookbooks. Don't get a huge amount of time to cook with DS1 atm, but love the family cookbook when we do. I like that most of the ingredients lists are short, thus maximising the chances of me having all of them Grin

carciofi · 30/01/2012 15:48

NY, glad you had a great day and hope you have a fab trip to London.

Red, the Boden dress looks good.

NYE, sorry you are having a tough time.

Hopefully, I love Brora, it is hard to choose just one!

I must get that River Cottage book. DD1 is an awfully fussy eater and will not try anything new. Don't know where I went did wrong. DD2 eats everything (so far). She has destroyed my Uggs by flinging purees at me so I ordered these, in the hopes they are more easily cleaned.

Bloss, I love the DvF scarf. I don't like the skull/razor blade scarves either.

Portia, that guy was so lucky. Glasshouse are good, I've ordered from them before.

I am returning the Maxmara top, DH said it looked like it was made from American Tan tights (not a great look) and the AH hat was itchy. More money for my long SS list (so far, Raoul top, tortoise-shell Michael Kors watch, tan Alexa, red AH bag, white skinny jeans, a couple of dresses and thanks to this thread, I am now keen on the Acne pistol boots).

carciofi · 30/01/2012 16:42

where I went wrong, or what I did wrong, that is.

blossoming · 30/01/2012 17:20

carciofi, my DS is awfully predictable with his food too. He was fine in his first year, althoug he had reflux, don't know if that had anything to do with it. He is now 7, and I am seeing glimmers of hope in the distance. For example he ate 5 green beans yesterday at lunch. I have been making roast meat, roast and new potatoes, carrots and broccoli for the last 6 years or so! So dull. And sausage stew, bolognese/lasagne and cauliflower cheese pasta. Grim indeed. And only cornflakes for breakfast. So far dd seems game for anything. Luckily they have trained DS well at school, and he has been eating school dinners (all made from scratch) for 2 years. He even eats tuna bolognese there, made me with red lentils. And mash potatoes. Don't know how they do it. But he does say, don't try this at home!
I want a predominantly black scarf. And minimum 200cm in length.

ny I am avidly watching BL, but on a Tuesday as it's my toughest day. I look forward to it all week, but gutted that it's only on for an hour. Didnt they used to show 2 hours at once? Weight loss was incredible this week!
Your birthday sounds great. So exciting about your weekend away.
Back later.

OllieinOrange · 30/01/2012 17:30

Size 8 or 10 ladies - before I send it back, does anyone else like the look of this bird print dress - but in navy blue same as this one
Ordered a 10 by mistake (via iphone) but since read it comes up small. Its a lovely dress (navy with beige and red birds, nice shape and pockets) very short on me tho (5ft 6). One reviewer says material not great but I thought it was fine, not shiney or thin. Top half was quite flattering, better than pic shows, but probably not for big of boobed? Cost me 20 pounds. Can post of pic on profile if anyone would like to see more, if not, will just return so happy either way.

IceCreamCastles · 30/01/2012 18:29

Yes please ollie! I'll pm you later

Reine- please can I see your photos?

Hope you have a great time NY

blue- any joy getting your baby to spin round? Told today that mine is back to back too. And I should be crawling round on hands and knees for half an hour at a time Shock. time to clean some skirting boards I guess!

Hopefully · 30/01/2012 19:06

Icey if you run out of skirting boards and want a house to clean... Grin

If anyone is looking for aggie/dicker-esque boots, I saw some lovely ones in R&B today, obviously new in as they weren't there last week. They're probably a bit too high to be useful for me (only about 3", not insanely high), but really nicely low cut at the front and very simple design. They only had camel suede, but I suppose they might get other colours? £155. I may have to try them on, in the name of my ankle boot obsession research.

Would love to watch BL, wonder if I can download any episodes.

Emo76 · 30/01/2012 19:52

evening all.

tried on the Joseph tiger roll neck in real life and didn't like it! Very heavy and felt quite restricted in it. Still love the print though and tempted to get the scarf instead! really though should be wise and use funds for a more "scarfy" scarf IYKWIM.

saw some light orange fluro skinnies in a shop window at the weekend and thought mmmmmm i Like those. Not sure which brand! Must try on (which would probably put me off, but I need to know!)

dry January is almost done. have lost zero weight but have been more productive, skin IS brighter and I will keep a dry Sun-Weds going now. February give up is going to be chocolate or chips - should be both...hmmm...

everything you do a great job. and flowers a treat you fully deserve.

olly i don't like eyelet curtains but can't say why!

happy belated birthday NY - sounds like a lovely day.
