I'm really tempted to try ones of these. Anyone recommend Glossy Box, Boudoir Prive, Feel Unique or similar? I keep reading beauty blogs to see which is best.

pinot

To use as a cleanser, massage over your face and then remove with a hot cloth

To use on hair, run through lenths and ends and leave as long as poss before washing as usual

To use as a moisturiser, massage in and leave on (prob best for night time mask to sleep in.

Hope that helps and is clear :)

Pinot · 11/02/2012 15:26

Yes that helps.

I canna believe I am such a thickie. Sorry. And thanks again, to both of you :) Wine Thanks

mrsmartin · 11/02/2012 15:31

Not a thickie - if the instructions aren't clear how are you supposed to know? Just enjoy using it (I'm jealous - I got the weleda one instead)

dingdong3 · 11/02/2012 16:43

You are not a thickie pinot. It took me ages to work out what it was! If you get the magnifying glass out to read instruction, it says to use cotton wool but that was not nice at all so I started using it with a flannel like Liz Earle. I told them on the feedback that the instructions left a lot to be desired. Also, I don't get why you would slather it all over your body and then rinse it off (as per instructions) Hmm. I'm always suspicious of products that you can use on your face AND body however, it's not a bad cleanser when you use it the flannel way and it does smell nice.

Aww Blush cheers ding

camerontoll · 11/02/2012 18:40

My glossy box arrived and I love it. The box is gorgeous and will be good for future present giving. Waiting on my other coming from she says.

MrsMeow · 11/02/2012 20:54

Camerontoll, which Glossybox was it, the valentines one?

Gregssausageroll · 12/02/2012 07:50

I think so. It had a Valentines card in it to win something. Can't remember what now though.

Gregssausageroll · 12/02/2012 07:51

How odd. Wrong thread. Sorry.

dingdong3 · 12/02/2012 17:52

I've decided to give away the Carmine February Beauty Box on my blog - had so much interest in my Beauty Box post last week so I thought it was something people would like and would help boost my readers too Smile. You can find out how to win on the link..

Tomorrow is the last day to order the 1st She Said Beauty Box - available in March. The 25 % off first box, 30 % off 3 boxes & 40% off 6 boxes expires on 27th Feb. I'm still dithering on whether to splash out £50 on 6 months of an unknown box.

Singsong I'm loving your blog especially your friend with the retro style, I'm now dipping my toe into the 50's/psychobilly style, I have the hair and make up and a full circle dress and petticoat on order.

Housewife2010 I've ordered my she said box, it's my birthday next week so if I like the march box I may subscribe for the 6 months :)

StellaAndFries · 13/02/2012 20:29

Dingdong not singsong Blush ruddy autocorrect!

dingdong3 · 13/02/2012 21:48

lol...I'm liking the sound of singsong - fits well with all the choirs I'm in.
Thanks for the feedback stella Smile
I forgot to get a photo of Lucy (retro friend) last week and was so cross as she looked lovely in tweed and a gorgeous green cardigan with fur collar (sounds ming but lovely really). Will see her tomorrow and get another pic hopefully.

Housewife2010 · 15/02/2012 15:48

Apparently Latest in Beauty are going to make big changes to their next themed box which is due next month. It will cost more (currently £6.95 inc p&p) but will contain more items.

cornskilt · 15/02/2012 15:51

is it too late to order this months jolie box?

Housewife2010 · 15/02/2012 16:12

I think it is. They held open the last day for ordering for a few days. I succumbed on Monday.

cornskilt · 15/02/2012 17:37

booo - shesaid march box is sold out

Housewife2010 · 15/02/2012 21:23

Cornskilt
I've just noticed on the Boudoir Prive FB site, that earlier today they still had some Feb boxes left. So you may still be lucky.
I've missed out on the Shesaid box too. I was so busy dithering over what length of subscription to do that they sold out! I suppose it's saved me money, but the cheaper subscriptions expire before the March boxes come out so I'll probably continue dithering for a few days.

cornskilt · 15/02/2012 21:27

thanks will have a look Smile

NotMostPeople · 15/02/2012 21:44

Thanks to lurking on this thread I signed up to Glossybox and was pleased with the valentines box.

I was thinking of signing up to one as a mothers day present for my Mum for say six months. She loves beauty products and fragrances which one do you think would suit someone older?

cornskilt · 15/02/2012 21:49

when I go on the joliebox site it's asking me to buy the box for march - how do I get feb's box?

Housewife2010 · 15/02/2012 22:07

Cornskilt
Unfortunately, it looks like theyve sold out of the Feb boxes then. You could mail them or put a message on their FB site. Judging by their FB comments their customer service doesn't seem to be very good which had put me off from ordering from them, until I got swept away by the last chance to order Feb boxes fever & succumbed.

OP posts:
cornskilt · 16/02/2012 08:23

think I'll give it a miss - I caved and ordered the she said 6 months one

StellaAndFries · 17/02/2012 20:51

Woohoo feb's glossy boxes have been dispatched :)
