  1. I will NOT continually waste my money on 'designer' hair products from Boots. I do not need any more thickening lotions, volumising mousses, serums, sprays (sea salt spray? WTF was I thinking?), texturisers or anything else. It is all SHIT and makes my hair look like it hasn't been washed for a week. All I need is GOOD shampoo and conditioner (pref. Aveda - which I could afford if I stopped spunking cash on Boots rubbish) and Elnett.

Throw away all my old pants and wear nice undies instead.

Wear skirts more ofen.

Wear more accessories.

Buy something only if it goes with something else. Ebay all the new clothes with tags I have never worn. Blush And shoes.

Stop looking down at my tummy wondering where the hell did that come from!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 02/01/2012 18:04

I did the undies thing last year. I now only have about 15 pairs put they are all ones that fit, that are comfortable and that look half decent.

Over the last few years have built up a good wardrobe so am aiming to buy no new clothes at all in 2012. (Want to get good cost per wear for items I own rather than always looking for the next thing) I then plan to only buy a few key good quality pieces a year after that.

Have become a Shellac addict, so plan to indulge myself with 2 x Shellac a month.

miserablemum · 02/01/2012 18:32

Yes Neals Yard Remedies - I got so hooked I became a consultant and now get great discount and make money.

Dr Haushka does fab concealer among other things,UNE from Boots has great make up (am waiting for more form Neals Yard in March) Have got the 'Naked' shampoo, conditioner, bath stuff from Boots also for me and the kids when i'm being more frugal - it's often on 3 for 2. DH has had some Bulldog stuff which was fab too.

More natural has made my skin better, my pores look better and the products smell amazing due to essential oils and not dodgy fake 'parfum' so can really uplife your spirits too Smile

Everyday taking make up off, showering etc feels like a treat!

miserablemum · 02/01/2012 18:34

But i too have become a Shellac addict Blush One thing at a time Smile

miserablemum · 02/01/2012 18:35

An giovanni organics hair foam is flippin amazing stuff - the best hair thickener, mouse thing i've ever had and lasts for ages.

And pit rok deodrant is a blummin revelation - mine has lasted 10 months now and still going strong - no nasty chemicals but no stinky armpits!!!!

dawntigga · 02/01/2012 18:46

  1. I will get properly fitted for new bras instead of wearing the manky assortment in my underwear drawer.
  1. I will use up the ridiculous number of shampoos and body lotions that are kicking about the house before I buy any more.
  1. I will give myself a manicure once a week

MABS · 02/01/2012 19:02

msbuggywinkle · 02/01/2012 19:06
  1. Oil cleansing (already started and skin looks loads better)
  1. No buying crap cheap 'this will do' clothes.
  1. Wear make up (already started, feels a bit weird though)
  1. Drink enough water.
  1. Eat more healthily (not dieting as bfing newborn)
ronx · 02/01/2012 19:16

I am going to get back into my pre-DC1 clothes. I hate being a size 18. I was a 14/16 in my pre-motherhood days and I want to get back to that size.
I am going to do my nails more often. I had a shellac manicure on Christmas Eve, which looked gorgeous while it lasted (but that's another story).
I will get my eyebrows waxed or threaded regularly. Makes me look much more groomed than if I let them grow in.

Im going to lose the 2 stone of baby weight I still have 17 months after giving birth.

Spend a night a week on general maintenance/grooming.

I will put a semi permanent colour in my hair every month and get it cut every 6 weeks.

Get a massage monthly.

Carry on wearing assorted garments and scarves completely out of tune with fashion as Im an arty type and it goes with the territory Smile

Bproud · 02/01/2012 20:36

where do you get the castor oil from for the cleansing method, or do you use other oils, sorry I expect this has been covered elsewhere ad nauseum...

pixipie151 · 02/01/2012 21:15

Ooh, nice thread!

  1. Follow GI eating plan, and stop stuffing face with white bread and biccies.
  2. Groom myself in front of TV (nails mon, feet weds...)
  3. Stop looking shit at work (see above).
  4. When I go out clothes shopping for me, look in adult shops and not waste time and money on clothes for DD.
  5. Smile more, whinge less (Im so tired, no help, no money, boo-hoo).
  6. Take up driving again (nursery run in pissing rain is no fun).
RidingInTheMidnightBlue · 02/01/2012 21:15

Not wear black or white.

Sort out underwear - bin knickers that were intended for a few weeks post-birth. sooooo comfy

Tinted moisturiser, mascara and lipgloss daily.

Get colours done.

ElizabethAllen · 02/01/2012 21:31

I will actually use the products that are hiding in my bathroom cabinet. Body scrub, foot scrub, body lotion, face masks, intensive conditioner, fake tan, nail oil etc
