well, i ordered mine on the phone, surely they would have said if it was out of stock???

i had already placed another order for a coat and a jumper, then i started to do a bit of digging and looking at the catalogue online. the dress is listed there but not in the sale....thats how i found it,

so i rang straight away and asked for it to be added to my existing order, which they did.

i am seriously wondering whether to get it ordered in the other colour but ive just spent ANOTHER £98 pounds in this sale.....dh will kill me if i carry on! i ordered the black, thought it would be lovely for going out....will probably wear it for special occasions rather than as an every day dress.

now im getting paranoid too! ive just fidgeted my way though an evening of telly as i havent had a confirmation email, but saying that i had one earlier for the original order, the lovely lady on the phone just added the dress to my existing order number, so i probably wont get one.

i ll just have to wait and see if i get it all! i did confirm and double confirm that i had 3 items ordered. ill just have to see what comes.

Well if it's any consolation I HAVE had a confirmation email! I ordered the roebuck which was the colour I wanted anyway, but I would've gone for the black if the roebuck wasn't available. Seems odd that there are so many sizes available still but they haven't put it on the sale page?

no dispatch email yet here, keep expecting my order to end up cancelled tbh. only ordered the lady grey dress in grey and some matching leggings. the dress is in stock one day, out of stock the next, then in stock again, weird!

that bird dress is gorgeous, i wouldn't ever have the occasion to wear it but it is lovely.

I've had a confirmation email too, so fingers crossed

why has everyone gone for the roebuck one....is it nicer than the black one do you think?

i thought the black one would be good for going out....i am sorely sorely tempted to try and get the other colour aswell but i reckon i will have missed my opportunity to get it added to my existing order now - i d end up paying another £4 delivery on top again....

ive ordered the other colour. paid another sodding delivery fee....

now i have GOT to stop this! i have no more money! still, even with delivery it was £30...still better than half price.

now im stopping. really. not even looking again....

the woman on the phone said if it wasnt on the sale pages it was probably out of stock but then she found it....so i havent got a clue!

I think I am going to go with the mindset that this isn't going to happen - and then if it does it's a bonus (ever the optimist!)

see i just optimistically ordered it with the full expectation of it arriving....you all have prior knowledge i see.

if it arrives ill snog me. i am still expecting it - why would they say it was in stock if it wasnt?

i am staying enthusiastically expectant. perhaps they restocked just in time for the sales....or maybe - no one knew it was there because its hidden away and not on the sale pages.

Oh no! Don't say that trixy! I thought I'd found the holy grail of clothes :o (At least in the sale). I was planning on not looking again until August & then steaming in & hoovering it all up again!

Vicar I have no inside knowledge or anything, I'm just a bit worried having seen somebody else's post a couple of pages back where her order was cancelled just like that. So now we have Finchley Park-gate where lots of Mumsnetters are waiting for the axe to fall :(

have also ordered the finchley dress in roebuck. got small and medium because the noella dress i ordered last week was too big so had to swap that.

hope they aren't out of stock and great plains are playing a cruel, cruel joke

can i just ask, when i placed my order, i got an order acknowledgement email straight away but have heard nothing since. should i be expecting a confirmation email and then a dispatch email?
