Lovely shirt Bloss - OCD14 should get 20% off white co orders.

Well done NJC - fingers crossed it all works out brilliantly.

FritziGreenEyes · 02/11/2011 20:28

amber Let me assure you that DD is the opposite of sophisticated Smile. Quinoa for me is one of the most Birkenstock-type foods we have in this house and I tend not to mention it in RL.

dolceebanana · 02/11/2011 20:54

the white shirt is fab Bloss...have been looking all the while...will have to copy you!

pickledsiblings · 02/11/2011 20:57

Bloss, I have a crisp white shirt which I wear with my Boden sparkly grey cashmere cardi - style twins you and me...who 'd 'a' thought it Grin?

Red, your link does not take me to your coat, please can you describe it in detail to me including all the colour options Smile.

Classic, well done on acing today, knew you would. I hope the childcare proves straightforward.

Ollie, I think the Kew skirt with navy sounds lovely. Am looking for nice navy cashmere crew neck jumper...

Fritzi, lol at hair extensions.

dolceebanana · 02/11/2011 21:03

Amber - theose shoes are beautiful too.

Have night out on Fri but sore throat/cold looming...I have to go ! - And horror of horrors have colour/cut booked with DD in tow! She understands she coming to the hairdresser (she's 2), and is also having her hair cut...She is a funny little thing, who unfortunately speaks very clearly, when she wants to, and recently stated quite loudly to the Headmaster, 'I hate you!' Wish me luck.....

pickledsiblings · 02/11/2011 21:08

Annie, my friend has that oven and she loves it. Great photos of you and the girls btw.

carciofi · 02/11/2011 21:18

Hey ladies, tried to post yesterday but lost it. Grr.

Anyway, Verity, so sorry about your house, hope it gets sorted asap and you find a nice rental in the meantime. The weather was unreal. I was glad my father's house is on a hill.

I met Rufus and she is gorgeous, her sleek dark hair and elegance reminded me of Bloss. I, as usual, looked like a wrinkly teenager in jeans and a ponytail. Rufus, I am still recovering from my week at home! My dad thought you were lovely, praise indeed.

Bloss, glad you enjoyed the style day. I would avoid the costume jewelry rec and stick to the classics.

Red, that Whistles dress is on sale now at House of Fraser.

My wispy hair is starting to annoy me, has anyone had the permanent blowdry, Brazilian thingy? I had to get rid of my GHDs as I was frying my hair and I am rubbish at styling it.

NJC, well done.

Annie, fab oven!

Amber, hope you are feeling ok.

Wan, great that the scan went well. You are very restrained, I found out both times. I was sure I was having boys each time so clearly my maternal instinct is zero.

NotYummy, I got a body cream in Molton Brown, it makes a pleasant change from Nivea.

Dolcee, lovely shoes.

ICC, hope you are enjoying your new house.

Sorry, can't remember what else. Back tomorrow!

blossoming · 02/11/2011 21:43

carciofi, welcome back! I've missed you!
You are right though. I don't think my consultant got my balance right. I think I have more classic in me than she gave me credit for. I am very much hankering after the cuff and an oversized watch though. A necklace I ordered last week came today, but I really don't like it. Maybe a new scarf. Have you seen the scarf video yet (currently on discussions of the day!)?
By the way, I think you always look very polished and elegant. Can't help you with the hair thing though. You could be the guinea pig, and if it works, I may get it done for next summer!

All the best with your hair appointment dolcee. How is your dd? Mine is adorable at the moment. I keep finding her, bum in the air hanging off the arm of the sofa, completely upside down, then saying her pants hurt!

Lovely to see her playing with her Corolle doll though, not so lovely at 5.15am this morning when 'baby' was not in the cot with her.

OllieinOrange · 02/11/2011 21:43

Love the shirt Bloss esp the double buttons.

Red's H&M coat was half pice instore today - seemed rude not to get one! Very similar to one i got last year (which is a tiny bit too short) so will do a contrast and compare tomorrow! (What was i saying yesterday about not buying things cos they are on sale?)

Annie wow at your lovely shiney new oven, what was the first thing you cooked with it?

Dolcee those shoes are gorgeous, love the image of them with cigarette pants and tux.

NJC am so pleased for you. Looking forward to hearing your next steps - and your new nickname!

Am in the middle of assembling the shoeboxes for DSs - do your schools do them too? DS2 cant accept that he cant have any of the contents but its a good lesson (if thats the right word?) for them both i think.

AmberNectarine · 02/11/2011 21:54

Carciofi I had a Brazilian blow-dry just before Christmas. Wasn't a fan actually. I think it might work well on thick hair, but because mine is quite fine it made it very flat, which wasn't the desired effect. It does keep your hair very straight though, but I'm sticking to shoving it up in a bun my GHDs for now!

Sounds good annie-here's to many more lovely meals from the new oven!
I ordered a corolle doll for dd the other day as it was on offer on amazon. Was planning to save it to give her when the baby is born but I'm so tempted to just give it to her now as I know she'd love it!

Speaking of baby- I'm suddenly feeling properly pregnant. Even getting what I think must be braxton hicks things which I didn't have at all last time- eek!

Good work Njc-lots of exciting planning for you now.

Will prob cave and give it to her for Christmas yes. Due in feb so maybe could get her some dolls clothes or bits and pieces then to keep her busy once she has bonded with the doll.

I'm overthinking this aren't I?!

IceCreamCastles · 02/11/2011 22:35

I would love those hair treatments-I'm another slave to the ghds although have been trying to limit use to a couple if times a week. Go for it carciofi and report back! (good to see you back by the way)

Have returned from the cinema feeling a bit gormless as I had no clue what the film was about - was stylistically gorgeous though. Did have a lovely drink beforehand - think I've made a very nice friend there.

Good to have you back Carciofi - missed you too and have (mildly) drunkenly ordered the last one of the Whistles dress - thanks for the pointer there! If you have thick hair, I'd go for the straightening, but if it is fine, avoid like the plague. I have lots of fine hair and it looked shit after being straightened.

NJC well done. Look forward to hearing more and getting myself booked in!

Pickled it is to the upper hip, classic double-breasted reefer style, vent and swing at the back. Comes in navy, back and red and on website at £34.99. Let me know how it works out for you Ollie - I like it so much.

Your quinoa eating DD made me grin Fritzi, Amber the best is yet to come - my two were engaging in post-bath naked revelry this evening with wild abandon.

Great shirt Bloss - I'm yet to find a shirt that looks any good on me.

Yay to feeling very pregnant ICC, ho you're feeling well with it.

V nice new oven Annie.

Hope sore throat doesn't linger Dolcee.
