Those tops are nice Ollie. I am wearing a new top today here with a black trouser suit and black wedge boots.

Annie - We are watching both Strictly and X Factor (although prefer Strictly) but the only way I can bear either is to sky plus and fast forward through all the 'I'm doing this for me nan, she would be so proud' schmaltz. There is obviously less of that in Strictly, but I can't stand Brucie so have to fast forward any bits with him in. I sometimes get a bit carried away and DH tries to wrestle the remote off me whilst shouting 'I wanted to see Ola in training.' Hmm BTW, if you are a sci-fi geek, you must watch Battlestar Galatica if you haven't already. An allegory on the war on terror.....and so exciting I nearly had a heart attack in the first season! I sent the boxed set to one of my best friends and her and her DP sat and watched it for 10 hours one Saturday (no kids....) Grin

Am still recovering from 6W6P at 7am this morning. It was hard.
Back later.

ollie Maybe I'll just pile a few more pairs of the lower heel patents into my M&S basket then (conveniently forgetting that I don't have an office job where I could wear heels every day) Grin. Re party music, I love classics from 80s/90s as such, it is just some particular songs that make me cringe. How annoying about book club people. If they don't read the book and cancel, what's the point? On the plus side: More Prosecco for the rest of you Wink.

annie Haven't been to Mango in a while but that coat is great. Were you looking for girls' PJs? I like these from M&S.

FritziGreenEyes · 12/10/2011 10:49

Oh and meant to say, I often have a very short fuse and get shouty but then apologise and it blows over quickly. After a lifetime of sucking it all up, I think it is actually a lot healthier. DD said the other day: Mummy I just need to be angry for five minutes now because of xyz and then we are going to cuddle and make up, ok?

FritziGreenEyes · 12/10/2011 11:19

This skirt would be spot on for our sequin meet up

pickled IIRC you were looking for [[http://www.theoutnet.com/product/114508 leather shorts] a while ago? Not 100% sure about the drawstring detail though.

FritziGreenEyes · 12/10/2011 11:20

Sorry: leather shorts

Oh what adorable pjs. They remind me of being little.

Yes that's what I ordered yesterday! Ce Me black dress. Not too expensive so thought I would try it out. Interesting to see what it is like.

Fritzi your DD sounds so good. She is absolutely right. Better out than in, I think.
Ollie those people shouldn't be in a book club. Our one has a rule if you miss more than 2 in a year, you are out. As for not reading it! Even if someone can't make it, they email their general musings and mark it out of 10!

carciofi · 12/10/2011 12:45

Ollie, I am intrigued as to what you will say to your mil.

I like the HH coats.

Rufus, I knew we must know more people in common!

Annie, cute PJs, I may have to get them for DD1. Very slinky dress, I am sure your DH will approve.

Bloss, did your sister really become a grandmother? DH didn't arrive home until really late in the end of Monday, he decided to get on with some more work but didn't tell me. He has also cancelled his week off next week which is annoying me as I was planning a few trips out on my own quality time with my family.

I managed to get to the cinema to see Jane Eyre yesterday, really enjoyed it.

My dad has a short fuse and shouted a lot at us and my mother silently fumed, I definitely preferred the shouting as it was over more quickly.

No shopping here as still saving for the Anna bag. I have 50 watchers on my Belstaff boots but only one bid. Come on, people!

redllamayellowllama · 12/10/2011 13:21

Oh Ollie - how are you going to get out of this? Maybe being very blunt is the only way to go. Alternatively, could you bear to organise a meal out with the PiLs somewhere fancy and state that you wanted to celebrate with them in a more intimate way? Or, failing that, you could encourage her to bring a friend along with her, meaning that they would absorb the majority of her ramblings. This could backfire spectacularly though - double the trouble. Book club is annoying - I like the policy of rufus' club.

Lovely slinky dresses Annie and Marsha.

Yes to ffing through Brucie - to echo NJC who wants him there?!

Emo76 · 12/10/2011 16:52

Ollie what was your DH thinking?! AAAGH on your behalf.

MarshaBrady · 12/10/2011 17:16

Anniemac damn I can't see yours. Did you get this one? I still have a problem with some of the links and get pixel1pixel.

Or if not, which name does it have?

blossoming · 12/10/2011 18:10

I'm afraid so carciofi. I'll spare you the gory details. I am taking a step back from the matter.

I have had a lovely stylish week. Have worn the Whistles pencil skirt and today the LKB version. I have managed 3 days in the R&B mid heels, and have been fine. Things are going so well I may try pinstripe davina tomorrow!

As for my lessons, there was a technical failure today which meant I spent half an hour being exposed to the technician's bare bottom. Purlease. Still feel violated.

pickledsiblings · 12/10/2011 19:36

marsha and annie, you're making me laugh with the 'ce me' dresses - 'ce us' Grin

FritziGreenEyes · 12/10/2011 20:06
pickledsiblings · 12/10/2011 20:17

FritziGreenEyes · 12/10/2011 20:42

ollie Beautiful wrapping paper in M&S Christmas shop!
