Well that has thrown a spanner in the works...

ordered three dresses online, have tried them on and I know which I like... But wanted reassurance from DH. He has said my least fave looks the nicest and this is the one he prefers.

I am 5ft size 10 but have slight bingo wings. DH prefers the sleeveless dress . Nowt I can do about bingo wings now seen as the dress is for Sat night. Going out with two other couples to a really nice restaurant, well it is a pub with a restaurant attached, it is renowned for it's seafood up north.

Which dress do you like?

DH likes

my second fave

my first choice

All are at knee level. First two slim fitting, third floaty, bit not too floaty that it could make you look pregnant.

My order of preference:

I like your dh's favourite by a long, long way.

Then your middle one.

I don't like your favourite. It is like a pilgrim school marm dress (or something).

Your favourite is the safest IMO.

I like the one with the leaves at the bottom best.

Since DH can see you, he's probably in a better position to judge than us- but on dresses alone, I still agree with him.

I am a safe sort of person. But I am 46 so don't want to look like mutton dressed as lamb.

One DH likes it is then.

Is DH in favour of the lace at the hem because its obviously v.sexy and suggestive. The others are far too safe. Work it with a great lip colour and heels, maybe shimmer opaques for the evening to avoid flashing or the cold when seated or perhaps when/if have too much too drink. Enjoy your night out

Live, I still have a tan from our holiday so would like to go bare legged. I have some fabulous Steve McFadden sling backs the same colour as the slip showing through the leaves of the dress which I will wear.

Your DH is definitely right Smile

By far the sexiest and will show off your figure beautifully.

I've got some tess daly glow body stuff from m&s which is fab for giving a subtle sheen - put some on your arms and legs and you'll look even more lovely.

I like them all but I like your favourite least! I think the first one is totally gorgeous. BUT you do need to choose something you feel good in.

I'm another size 10 with a bingo wings complex.

They are exaggerated I think by my skinny forearms and ankles!!

I do think the sleeveless dress is beautiful, though. A bit of subtle fake tan (I know not always popular) always seems to make me feel less self-concious about mine.

I know crap all about S&B but your DH is right by a looooooong way. The other two are, well, a little frumpy if I'm honest. At least, on the website they are, don't know about in RL.

Agree with most of the others - dh's fave first by a long shot; your fave least (don't like that one at all, sorry). But in a restaurant 'up north' at this time of year, sleeveless might not be the best thing.
