Grin

Because moonlight gives you a nice glow and doesn't show up your wrinkles or grey hair.

Depends on definition of far! - not staying in same city, moving to small town and definately not bigger (much smaller!), but hopefully, we think, better (for all sorts of reasons) - lifestyle change!

I may be among the early tissue fiddlers after all - DP can get home from work quite early.

CointreauVersial · 06/10/2011 13:35

I have asked instructed DH to collect the DDs from swimming at 6pm tomorrow, which means I can abandon them at the pool for their lesson at 5pm and proceed to the nearest train station.

So I won't be as late as I thought.

Forget tissues, I'm going to be sporting a full surgical mask, so I don't catch anything off you lurgy-afflicted lot. Grin

Stropperella · 06/10/2011 15:12

I have just signed up for an online course to (hopefully) enhance my work prospects. My first "task" is to complete a profile - complete with photo. Aaaargh. dh has just done a photoshoot and is currently rofling in front of his computer at the mind-blowing awfulness of all the results. Sample comments: "How can you have produced two such photogenic children?" "That's just horrendous - I never realised your nose was that big." "Can you not squash your hair down a bit?"

Well, I'm glad he's enjoying himself.

Just don't run away when you see me coming tomorrow, OK hags? Grin

Blackduck · 06/10/2011 15:15

Isn't it lovely when your nearest and dearest are so supportive :)

bigTillyMint · 06/10/2011 18:43

OK, so I'm looking for someone with a tablecloth-sized tissue and a huge afro? Smile

herbaceous · 06/10/2011 19:21

I don't have a lurgy - as yet - but do have a huge disfiguring boil on my lower lip, which will enter the bar a good few seconds before I do.

Stropperella · 06/10/2011 19:44

There is clearly something wrong with his camera. My nose is not big. My arse maybe, but not my nose. Grin I'm hoping that my hair may be having one of its better days tomorrow, but I won't bet on it.

CointreauVersial · 06/10/2011 23:04

Oh, it gets better and better. Streaming colds, runny bottoms and boils? I'm not sure which one I want to sit next to. Grin

Stropperella · 07/10/2011 07:51

Me! I'm healthy!

bigTillyMint · 07/10/2011 08:05

Me too!

I won't be checking in again so try not to be too hilarious between now and later because I won't know what you're talking about Grin

Am in fauny/grey cardy with fauny/peacock wrap tunic thing, leggings and boots. I will shortly pack my tissue.

Will have come from hairdressers in unfortunate timing that is not an attempt to show off. Could go the way of the pear as not had this stylist in 20 years. I suddenly thought how much I liked the way she cut my hair and she still runs the salon. Which is a long way of saying I will have a blonde mullet or some weird Camden young person's hair cut.

Really looking forward to this!

herbaceous · 07/10/2011 11:45

Gibber. Still don't know what to wear. None of my previously envisioned outfit options fit with this arctic blast. Not a good day to have a builder taking out our sash windows.

bigTillyMint · 07/10/2011 12:00

Grin at blonde mullett (I think I have the crepey one already!)

herbs, put your thermals on underneath!

I am not expecting any activity on this thread before lunchtime today (except by me, rubys and nightsky) Grin

herbaceous · 08/10/2011 08:13

Just off to sing in Suffolk, but wanted to drop in and say what a ripping time I had last night. As was only to be expected, everyone was lovely, and far less crepey/grey/hairy in real life than they'd have us believe on here. And not a gunt in sight.

Blackduck · 08/10/2011 08:18

See I knew that would be the case! I would have lowered the tone Smile have fun herbs

bigTillyMint · 08/10/2011 09:32

I'm up Sad - I have to do gymnastics/footie run as DH is watching the rugby Angry

Had a great time last night - everyone was lovely, and we are definitely in the right place in style and beautyWink

I am deeply impressed by MrsS's drinking credentials - what a woman!

BD, I'm sure you would not have lowered the tone, and you have to come along to the next one!

bigTillyMint · 08/10/2011 09:34

The only disappointing thing was that Dukes dashed off half-way through the evening, especially as she had spotted me by my lush boots!

motherinferior · 08/10/2011 10:29

How very lovely to see you all.

Am knackered today but not on account of last night; everything is catching up with me a bit. Am most cheered, however, by a delightful evening.
