Grin

Because moonlight gives you a nice glow and doesn't show up your wrinkles or grey hair.

I am Envy I can't be there

bigTillyMint · 23/09/2011 06:59

ruby, get both pairs, and the Hags meet-up has definitely go to be do-able!
Am planning to go to the Christmas one myself, but can't commit so far ahead yet.

BDSad Can you do face-time on an ipod/itouch?Smile

Blackduck · 23/09/2011 07:08

Oh god no FaceTime! You'd all need a stiff drink afterwards and never talk to me again... Remember bad photos convo up thread, FaceTime 10 times worse!

bigTillyMint · 23/09/2011 07:13

Grin, remember it would be the same for all of us!

wilbur · 23/09/2011 08:21

MI et al - after a conversation with a baffled clipboard girl, the bar/lounge area reservation should have the name Wilbur on it, but it may also have my own name which MI and MrsS know and which has the same initials as a very famous brand of German cars, which are also known by their initials. Is that Times Crossword enough for you?

Stropperella · 23/09/2011 09:14

BD and ruby, I do hope you will be able to make it. I have now decided to go all-out and book a hotel for the night, as all my near-London relatives actually live in Surrey.
I will be the little dumpy one with frizzy hair and glasses. And probably wearing jeans Grin

CV, Zumba was fun, although I am not sure how long it will hold my interest. My knees were screaming "No, don't do it, Master!" at me for some of the time, but this is because my medial ligaments are buggered, so I was being a little more cautious than some of my fellow hoppers and shakers. I performed a few moves for the dcs this morning and they were both snorting into their cornflakes.

Stropperella · 23/09/2011 09:19

Wilbur, thanks very much for booking the table. I am now feeling all weedy again, as lots of you will know each other and I just such a yokel

wilbur · 23/09/2011 09:38

Strops - it will be fine, we are all jittery inside. I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone, I hope we will all be wearing big pants, gel eyeliner and something from Sainsburys.

On another note, I am feeling reflective as today would have been my parents' Golden Wedding. Just really wish they had made it to today.

herbaceous · 23/09/2011 09:42

Oh Wilbur. :( May I proffer a hug?

I just got weepy listening to Martin Clunes chose as one of his Desert Island Discs a recording of his daughter singing 'your song'. I'm such a sentimental arse sometimes.

I'm a bit nervous of hagsmeat now, what with lots of you knowing each other. For info, I'm just medium. Medium tall, medium size, medium bob, mid-blond/brown hair. I shall probably be wearing something stripey, and cheap.

bigTillyMint · 23/09/2011 10:54

Strops, I've only met Herbs and CV. We will all be feeling fine after our first drink or two Grin

Wilbur, I don't do big pants - they ride up my crack Smile

Oh ruby, that is a long commute - could you stay over at all?

How old are your DC? 4 hours is a long time to leave them on their own.

wilbur · 23/09/2011 11:43

Thanks herbs, hug accepted. I have made myself feel a bit better by putting some of their wedding pics up on Facebook (my mum would have LOVED Facebook, she adored friends and keeping in touch and was terrifically nosey). Gotta say, they were a fabulous looking couple. Smile

I have only met MI and I am a taller version of her but without the norks. Tall-ish with short red hair (the shade of which will depend on how recently I have, ahem, helped the colour along) and I will most likely be showing off my new top from Reiss which is a lovely silk shirt with a huge floral print on it. I may be brave and wear heels, but will no doubt have forgotten to put on any earrings.

DukesOfTripHazard · 23/09/2011 12:52

Don't worry Strops, I've only met MI. I like the way your knees refer to you as 'master'. I don't think any of my body parts respect my authoritaaaay like that.

I'm a shoulder length fringed blonde. Shall I wear my glasses on my head? My BF tuts me for this but I too vain to put them on unless sorely needed.

Wilbur your mum sounds lovely.

MI will def pm you. Just back from the one that's near Sainsburys.

bigTillyMint · 23/09/2011 12:56

Dukes, I have shoulder length fringed blonde too so you better had wear your glasses! I should be wearing my reading glasses on a string round my neck......

CointreauVersial · 23/09/2011 13:38

Hmmm....how to describe myself.......tall-ish, slim-ish, long face, shoulder-length mid-brown hair, you will probably hear me before you see me, though. Grin

I shall probably wear the lovely Warehouse top I bought after seeing it on a MN thread. It needs another outing.

wilbur · 23/09/2011 13:40

Is that the one with the birds on CV?

Ruby - sorry to hear about your dad, it's very tough. Mine ahve been gone a long time now, so today sort of took me by surprise.

CointreauVersial · 23/09/2011 14:05

Yes it is, Wilbur. You haven't got the same one, have you? That would be embarrassing hilarious if we all turned up in the same MN-recommended clothing!

MrsSchadenfreude · 23/09/2011 14:37

I think I have the haircut referred to on another S & B thread as shoulder length, wavy and mullety and worn by all 40 somethings

OP posts:
MrsSchadenfreude · 23/09/2011 14:40

With Lily Savage roots.

So sorry about your parents, Wilbur.

I have only met MI in real life. I never recognise people anyway. I may wear jeans too, if I have enough time to change post meetings.

Blackduck · 23/09/2011 15:41

In the spirit of sharing, even if I don't make it, I am small, short very grey hair, lived in face, trying (but failing) to avoid 'dumpy'.......
