Grin

Because moonlight gives you a nice glow and doesn't show up your wrinkles or grey hair.

At the spring meet up - where I met CV, BTM and BIWI - I wasn't aware of any competitive money shizzle, thank the lord, but then I was quite nervous, and probably gabbling continuously, thus not actually listening to what was being said around me.

There'd certainly be none of that from me, as a povvo.

Stropperella · 07/09/2011 14:56

MrsS, how can someone who is very, very antisocial host dinner parties for 12, eh? Grin

motherinferior · 07/09/2011 14:57

Gawdhelpus, MrsS, you're about as antisocial as I am Grin

Stropperella · 07/09/2011 14:58

Ps: I have no dosh, but I could get drawn into doing competitive decrepitude: "No, look, my neck wattle is absolutely the worst..."

herbaceous · 07/09/2011 15:03

Maybe we should let our beards grow, and compare the results. If yours can be plaited, you get free drinks all night.

Most of the city Mners who were at the competitive dinner rarely post these days, so you are probably safe. Several were lovely, but I found the IACRTY ones cliquey and a PITA. (I have low tolerance levels for this sort of thing, probably because a lot of people I work with have an overly high opinion of themselves.)

I am antisocial - I do like entertaining (particularly the saucepans side of things), but I always have to take myself off to be alone for about 15 minutes at some point during the evening otherwise it all gets a bit much for me.

I would be up for a Crepesters meet up in London next time I am back for work.

I START MY NEW JOB TOMORROW AND HAVE NOTHING TO WEAR AND AM BALD

So who's going to go? I'm up for it. And a Crepey's mini-meet before if we can fit one inSmile

ruby, the last one wasn't at all competitive AFAICR. CV, Herbs, BIWI and Pag were all lovely, as was everyone else there. If you've been to 3 others already, you are an expert anyway!

Can you tell I'm excited at the thought of meeting up with the rest of you Hags? Grin

MrsSchadenfreude · 07/09/2011 17:50

I will have a think about it, but I may be in Vienna that weekend. I spent the worst year of my life in Vienna and it will be very odd going back.

BTM - I will be the fat one with greying hair, wrinkles, eye bags and a wonky eye. Grin Or should that be Wink

OP posts:
Stropperella · 07/09/2011 17:53

I might come out from under my stone for a Crepey summit.

motherinferior · 07/09/2011 17:55

I will be the bald naked one

CointreauVersial · 07/09/2011 17:57

I'm definitely up for the meet-up, especially if any of you lovely lot are going to be there. I won't be so drunk nervous this time.

CointreauVersial · 07/09/2011 17:58

And MI, while I remember - GOOD LUCK for tomorrow! Suggest you wear something, though.....Grin

Stropperella · 07/09/2011 18:01

Oooh, yes, MI - good luck (with getting dressed) for tomorrow.

Am not sure I could manage the full-on MN meet up. Just a leetle haggy one...

bigTillyMint · 07/09/2011 18:09

Oooh CV, we could meet at LB again and wait hours in the taxi rank with Pint-sized who looked young enough to be my daughter!

So when for a leetle haggy meet-up? Grin

MrsSchadenfreude · 07/09/2011 18:39

Ooh yes, MI, good luck for tomorrow. I have purple skinny jeans for your DD1 from the Schadenfraulein to go in the post tomorrow - unfortunately this won't help your clothes dilemma though!

Are the majority of the hags in London?

motherinferior · 07/09/2011 18:41

In this weather I think it's the standby of white linen top and resuscitated Sainsbo's jeggings...

wilbur · 07/09/2011 18:57

Ooh, a meet up! I would be up for one and am in London, would have to be after Sept though as I am up to ears in it and still trying to sort out childcare snafu (it's particularly wearing as I was about to try and negotiate more work from my lovely job which is going to be hard when I am leaving early to retrieve children from after school clubs, grrr). I will epilate thoroughly in your honour but leave one long whisker on my chin as a sort of crepey's answer to standing under the station clock carrying a copy of the Guardian.

MI - very, very best of luck tomorrow. You will be brilliant and knock 'em dead, I'm sure.

On a beauty note - the serum I bought from Caudalie (it's an oil really, not sure why they call it a serum) seems to be doing good things for my poor face. There's definitely a calming down of the flaky bits and a smoothness around the eyes. I'm quite impressed.

Stropperella · 07/09/2011 20:08

I am in Dorset, 3 hrs from London by train (MrsS can probably make it there quicker than I can), but I think I am due 24hrs leave from family duties sometime soon.

motherinferior · 07/09/2011 20:19

It's not your chin whose d/epilation is rivetting us, Wilbur

MrsSchadenfreude · 07/09/2011 20:23

Fnarr.

I ordered that dress you told me about from M & S, MI, and, err, a raft of other stuff too.

OP posts:
MrsSchadenfreude · 07/09/2011 20:24

Having spent today clearing out my wardrobe, I feel I need to replace the stuff that has gone in the Red Cross bag.
