I have real issues with nightwear

KatyMac · 12/06/2011 09:59

I do not like cartoon characters/cutesy slogans
I am not some sort of vamp in black/red/purple shiny nylon with scratchy lace
I don't really do pastels
I can only afford a tenner or so

So while Tesco had it's sale on yesterday I thought I'll buy a nice top to wear as a nighty

But I like it so much I want to wear it as a top (& it's not on the website so I can't show you); which brings me back to "I have real issues with nightwear"

My first visit to Style and Beauty.

Brilliant stuff.

GetOrf · 12/06/2011 17:46

lol at the list of Substances of Shame.

Before I discovered bifacils I used to get mascara all over mine. And I eat biscuits in bed f a weekend and scatter crumbs everywhere.

miniwedge · 12/06/2011 17:51

WTF is bifacils? Confused do they hail from Egypt?

Re nightwear I tend to do naked unless I am cross with dp. In which case I wear pyjama bottoms from gap to deny access.

GetOrf · 12/06/2011 17:54

Bifacils is a lovingly sourced fabric softener made from the nuts of a tree which only grows in Ingushetia. But you can get it for half price from all John Lewis establishments so there.

Is actually eye make up remover par excellence from Lancome - gets rid of all waterproof make up shit.

miniwedge · 12/06/2011 18:01

Grin can you end all of your posts with "so there" from now on?
You could be a sort of narky version of dawntigga.

Have been searching for decent eye make up remover, will look.

GetOrf · 12/06/2011 18:03

It's really good - ask for a sample from the girl at Lancome counter, they will give you a dinky bottle which will last you for ages.

The big bottle is about £20 iirc but lasts a good 6 months and I use it every day.

So there Wink

tallulah · 12/06/2011 18:59

Although we seem to have gone way off topic, I have this which isn't pastel, vampy or thin straps.

GetOrf · 12/06/2011 19:06

Actually, I saw a cotton jumpsuit pyjama thing in asda not long ago.

I bought it to wear round the house and dd stole it, and gave it to a friend Hmm

here only a tenner

SeymoreButts · 12/06/2011 19:10

I feel responsible for this. Sorry. Blush

Cheers!

CountBapula · 12/06/2011 19:20

What an utterly bonkers thread. 'Bum crumbs' - roffle.

KatyMac · 12/06/2011 19:29

I didn't run away; I went for a nap in my new night wear (which DH likes)

I have Egyptian cotton sheets - from B&M Bargains - think they were 7.99 for kingsize, 3.99 for single.

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 12/06/2011 19:59

I asked this on another thread and never got a response : what is the thing about thread count? Why are high-thread-count sheets better? I'm dying for someone to explain.

MeconiumHappens · 12/06/2011 20:04

maybe higher thread count= less likely to allow bum crumb leakage onto mattress?

lol@twisty pooey bits of loo roll vom

GetOrf · 12/06/2011 20:22

SORN - what does B&M stand for?

Bum and Mucus?
Bollockjuice and Manky?

Higher thread count means it feels smooth. I don't partic WANT smooth sheets. I like 'em rough. Like crispy towels dried on the line.

Spartan.

superjobeespecs · 12/06/2011 20:27

b and ms is a bargain store :)

PinotGrigiosKittens · 12/06/2011 20:57

Safe to say GetOrf you trounced whatserface in the bunfight. I'd go so far as to say it was a mauling.

She'll know better than to mess with your sheets next time.

(FWIW mine are cheap Ikea ones, changed weekly. And I get nekkid in bed. So there)

GetOrf · 12/06/2011 21:04

lol at jelly strewn across the floor.

Pinot! I have two kittens. Called Cocoa and Flapjack.

They are nuts but so so cute. Both of them are boss-eyedm which makes them look even cuter.

The big cats are SCARED and will not come anywhere near them - that will get better won't it?

GetOrf · 12/06/2011 21:04

And the black one with an orange blaze on his face isn't black at all, she is a gorgeous tortoiselsell Grin

PinotGrigiosKittens · 12/06/2011 21:08
