I have real issues with nightwear

I do not like cartoon characters/cutesy slogans
I am not some sort of vamp in black/red/purple shiny nylon with scratchy lace
I don't really do pastels
I can only afford a tenner or so

So while Tesco had it's sale on yesterday I thought I'll buy a nice top to wear as a nighty

But I like it so much I want to wear it as a top (& it's not on the website so I can't show you); which brings me back to "I have real issues with nightwear"

You would only need to change the sheets daily if you were exceptionally sweaty or produced unusual amounts of bodily fluids, surely?

It's not rational really, I already change bedsheets 2 or 3 times a week. I would definitely ramp it up to daily if bare arses were involved.

GreenTeapot · 12/06/2011 12:09

Clean PJs every night then?

GreenTeapot · 12/06/2011 12:09

and Grin at the irony of your name!

noddyholder · 12/06/2011 12:09

I either wear old silky nighties from charity shops or t shirts Don't do a lot of arse scratching though! I have a bath every night before bed though so def not stinky! Yuk

GraceK · 12/06/2011 12:10

Personally naked except at the mo (as up & about in the night breast feeding & can't be arsed to try and find something to wear when half asleep).

La Redoute do lots of none pastel, none animal ones (thought there are animal ones too for those who like that sort of thing). They have a sale on at the moment

HipHopOpotomus · 12/06/2011 12:11

Vest and knickers works well for me

I wear silk nighties- either short chemise styles in summer or longer in winter. usually buy from M&S when discounted.

Am a very clean person who showers every morning and has a nice bath every night before bed.

DH sleeps naked and we change sheets once a week.

GetOrf · 12/06/2011 13:13

lolol at itchy and scratchy.

I will be giving you beady looks on style and beauty in future.

I can't sleep in clothes, I would feel strangled.

My daughter sleeps in bra and knickers. How can anyone sleeep i na bra? I think she is mad.

GetOrf · 12/06/2011 13:13

I will not bore you all again for the 736th time on my changing sheets philosophy.

GetOrf · 12/06/2011 13:15

I don't wear the same top two days in a row, think sheets are the same.

Getorf- has anyone ever suggested you might have OCD ? Smile
what exactly is it about your body or your partners that you feel has to be removed in the wash after sleeping/wearing for one night/day?
weird.Smile

noddyholder · 12/06/2011 13:22

How do you get them all dry there must be washing everywhere!

GetOrf · 12/06/2011 13:22

TEXTBOOK bonsoir smiley usage, rispeck Grin

I think it is a mite insulting to suggest that someone has a severe psychological disorder based on the fact that they like the smell of clean sheets. As far as I understand OCD is life changing, life limiting and a nightmare for someone who is suffering from it. The only lifechanging thing my sheet washing antics causes is more money spent on Daz than most people.

Smile right back atcha cleopatra

GetOrf · 12/06/2011 13:25

Take sheets off in the morning, put them in wash. When get in take wash out and hang them on the line. Take line dried ones in in the morning. If it has rained a swear at the sky. In winter have lines up in utility room, or tumble drier. DP has hung them over doors before, I nearly brained him.

It only takes a few minutes.

I am a clean freak but not mad Monica Geller levels. Grin
