Shilpa Shetty does get around (picture wise) there was an oversized photo of her and the owner in one salon in Tooting and now she (Shilpa) has taken over 2 shops in Tooting though I can't really imagine her ever going in to thread anyone!

Chanie44 I wonder if it's the same place in Newham, although I think there are quite a few in the various shopping areas there, all charging about £2.00

GothAnneGeddes · 20/05/2011 11:32

10 pound for whole face. I do live in a largely asian area though.

MissFoodie · 20/05/2011 11:41

£3 in Tooting and Earlsfield!

Littlepumpkinpie · 20/05/2011 15:11

I pay £7 in the middle of shopping centre in Nottingham. Did use the ones in the other shopping centre and they charged £5 but they were not as good. had mine done yesterday I go every three weeks.

OhCobblers · 21/05/2011 09:51

£12 for eyebrow, upper lip and chin, in local pop up shop but wasn't 'til i got home that i realised my chin was bleeding Sad ...... won't be going back!

TrillianAstra · 21/05/2011 10:11

I had it done once but it wasn't very good - there were still short hairs visible that hadn't been grabbed by the thread.

upahill · 21/05/2011 11:10

OhCobblers that sounds rubbish!

Triilian your expierence wasn't very good either. There should be no hairs at all left!

flibbertigibbert · 21/05/2011 13:06

Speedy - whereabouts exactly in Pimlico? Very tempted after reading this. I don't mind plucking my eyebrows myself but waxing my lip is such a nuisance

ronx · 21/05/2011 13:19

There's an Asian beauty salon which offers the service for £3. I get my beautician friend to wax my brows for £2 and a free natter!

ronx · 21/05/2011 13:20

Whoops... I should have said in Banbury Blush

OohMatron · 21/05/2011 13:43

I think i'm going to win this Blush

I paid £24 for eyebrowing threading at Nicky Clarke, they were done by Jo Pallan who i believe is a goddess in threading and i've got to say they did look amazing.

I have since paid £5 in tesco Grin

NewYorkBellini · 21/05/2011 13:48

£5 in Tesco

upahill · 21/05/2011 17:59

wonka · 28/05/2011 23:47

Anybody interested in DIY?

Honeymum · 29/05/2011 00:04

£4 in asian salon in Nottingham.

Himalaya · 29/05/2011 00:20

£4 from a stall in the shopping centre in the Midlands. I get mine done when we visit the ILs.. It's £8-12 where I live in the SE.

Too much of a wuss to have my upper lip done though

Deux · 29/05/2011 00:30

I'm obviously being shafted here too. I pay £20 for eyebrows and upper lip at the Glow Bar in Bentalls, Kingston. They do look great though. When I first started going there the loyalty card was buy 5 get 6th free and it's now buy 7 and get 8th free on my current card.
