Hi, Have just found this section, think its gonna be my new favourite.

Have been thinking of getting some havaianas but could anyone tell me the difference between these and some of the similar, cheaper ones?

BooBoo you should have written to the chief exec! That's outrageous.

Love them, but always buy in Portugal where they are cheaper and there is more variety. They last years and I wear flip flops even in winter (not outside, in the house!). My favourites are Flash and Highs.

i'm really regretting having bought proper sandals now.

Havaiana's are fantastic compared to most other flip flops. I wouldn't buy anything else now.
I noticed that TK MAXX were selling the plain coloured ones for £14.99. I live in Belfast and have noticed them in 3 TK maxx's here so I'm sure they've got them in England too

Dont like them myself, they just look like bog standard flip flops and they discolour too easily. I prefer my Ipanemas, looks more stylish and last years have somehow survived my stinky feet (unlike the havi's which have been consigned to the bin).

Love mine and they are definitely worth the money. Just got back from a week in Turkey taking only a similar looking but cheap pair with me and forgetting to pack my Haviainas. Soooo regretting it. I traipsed all over Australia in my Haviainas (well Melbourne and Adelaide anyway) and was super comfy and one day traipsing round an ancient monument in Turkey in the cheapos and I was in agony - my toes, the base of my heels and my calf muscles. Never ever again!

I love my fit flops too and Birkenstocks but in terms of "fashion" I find them much more intrusive than Haviainas - ie sometimes Birkenstocks/fit flops don't go with the outfit (because they are thicker and so more noticeable) whereas the Haviainas go with EVERYTHING.

tooworried - I'm with you on those Muji ones, bought 2 pairs for this year. I love them until the strap goes a bit discoloured - let's say it's down to sun lotion. Shame they haven't done orange/yellow/red this year.

I had never even heard of these until reading this thread today and now I have bought some.
