I have worn Eternity Calvin Klein for as long as I can remember - quite fancy a change for something light for summer, love the old fashioned eau de toilette type citrusy smells, any ideas?

mosschops30 · 27/04/2011 09:54

I love the dkny green apple one, its so fresh and distinctive
My other fave is chanel coco mademoiselle

lorelilee · 27/04/2011 09:59

Am watching with interest, as am looking for a new perfume. Used to wear Jo Malone Grapefruit, but that wore of really quickly - I like my scent to linger. Currently using Carolina Hererra 212.

Also, has anyone tried Tom Ford White Patchouli? Verdict?

dickcheeseandthecrackers · 27/04/2011 10:00

I just alternate between Dune/Samsara and Allure (nothing citrus sorry).
What about Marc Jacobs Daisy? Or I was going to say the Jo Malone ones.

brookeslay · 27/04/2011 10:03

I like something subtle here

Gorran · 27/04/2011 10:22

Ubiquitous though it is, I wear Jo Malone Pomegranite Noir and the Fresia and Pear scent. - both light and summery. Though I do agree with Lorelilee above that the fragrance doesn't last long enough.

I used to wear Clinique Happy Heart which nice, too.

fuzzywuzzy · 27/04/2011 10:37

I wear Must de Cartier its not citrussy tho.

ThoraNogson · 27/04/2011 10:38

Space NK Laughter is lovely and citrussy, very summery

FaffTastic · 27/04/2011 10:39

God, I flit between loads. Wear Angel, My Queen by Alexander McQ, Stella Peony, JPG Madame and Boss Orange. Of those, Boss Orange is probably the only citrusy type one. The Tom Ford one is lovely on others but doesn't suit me iykwim

Lilymaid · 27/04/2011 10:46

"old fashioned eau de toilette type citrusy smells" = O de Lancome

missmartha · 27/04/2011 11:11

Alternate between Jicky, Mitsouko and Jardin Des Bagatelles. I love Guerlain.

otchayaniye · 27/04/2011 11:29

I am a perfume addict. It's a sickness with me and I need help

I wear on rotation at the moment (I'm pregnant and not everything I have I like right now):

Tabac Blond by Caron
Sa Majeste la Rose by Lutens
Une Rose by Frederic Malle
Fumerie Turque by Lutens
L'air du Desert Marocain by Andy Tauer
Diorissimo by Dior
Tubereuse Criminelle by Lutens
Datura Noir by Lutens
L'Air Bleue by Guerlain
Habit Rouge (men's) by Guerlain
Chanel 19

ClaireDeLoon · 27/04/2011 11:33

I have the Jo malone English pear and Freesia on today and agree with Gorran it's very light and summery, rather liking it.

5DollarShake · 27/04/2011 11:40

I have never met anyone else who wears Jardin des Bagatelles! That is my one constant perfume and I've worn it since I was 21 (37 now).

Also have at the mo...

Joy, Jean de Patou
Nude, Stella McCartney
Mitsouko and Samsara, Guerlain

I tried loads of perfumes, but was absolutely hooked on Tendre Poison for about 20 years, until I had dc. Then something in my chemistry changed and TP just didn't do it for me any more. Took me several years to find 'my' perfume. I wore Touch of Pink, then Ghost, until I found The One. Or rather, The Two. For the past few of years I have been wearing Very Irresistible, both the EdT and the EdP - though not at the same time, of course. Unusually, they are different perfumes, rather than one being a dilute version of the other.

I think I'm probably a bit more of a flowery type than a citrusy type, but definitely like light and delicate fragrances which last.

Have you ever tried the old fashioned EdT 4711 ? I can't remember who it's by, but it's the classic, clean, fresh, citrusy smell. It also works really well on both men and women.

pink4ever · 27/04/2011 12:50

I prefer a heavier scent.I wear-
Beautiful by Estee Lauder
Samsara by Guerlain
Shalimar by Guerlain.

Dh just bought me Alien by Thierry Mugler and though it is not a scent I would have chosen it is nice(and lighter than my usual scents).
I also like White Linen by Estee Lauder-think that is more of a summer scent?.

aLegonEachCorner · 27/04/2011 13:48

Armani Code.....Eau de Toilette. Eau de Parfum VERY expensive and VERY strong.

Paul Smith Rose. Lovely in the summer.

apple99 · 27/04/2011 13:56

I have Jo Malone English Pear and Freesia, Lime Blossom and Nectarine HoneyBlossom, the first 2 last well the Nectarine wears off very quickly.

Also love Clinique Happy and Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue.

Poodlehorse · 27/04/2011 14:00

I use DKNY green apple on in the summer because my mum bought it for me by mistake so I have to use it somehow, it is ok but I prefer my "proper" scents but I think both are discontinued or at least very hard to find in this country again. Decleor's Aromantic, have just a teensy bit left but I heart this one very much. And the other is Aqua di Roma by Laura Biagiotti, you can still get Roma but I had to send away to the States to find the lighter version which I very much prefer. Once they are both used up I am going to have to start from scratch and I am dreading it.

dolceebanana · 27/04/2011 14:02

I wear Guerlain's Vetiver. It's a man's cologne, but really beautiful and citrussy, and I always get complimented on it. It lasts really well too, possibly because it's essentially made for men. Mu dh loves it on me and usually buys me some when he's travelling.

Karbea · 27/04/2011 14:05
