Went for a consultation and ended up getting my forehead done. Eek! In and out in 20 minutes!

Nothing to see yet. She says I won't see a result for a week. She wouldn't do anything else today or even any other areas.

Oh - told a friend at school in what I thought was confidence and she flippin well told another friend who wandered over! Was not happy! Grr. Don't mind you lot knowing . Or people I choose to tell.

I think my lady really wants me to have fabulous results, and my open pores are a bit ropey

Perhaps I'll try somewhere else where theyre not such perfectionists! My mate gets it done just down the road so no navigational dilemmas for me

So you reckon that Avon stuff works?

noddyholder · 20/04/2011 16:07

Yes it really does. I don't use it all the time maybe for a week every night and then leave it a few weeks. Looking ropey atm so need to do a week. Have been moaning a lot to dp that I think my age is finally bossing me about as I am finding it harder and harder to look good really look shit ATM and too knackered to do much about it. Off out tonight with my v glam YOUNGER friend great

cyb · 20/04/2011 19:03

Ok have bought that and this

to brighten me up

and nodders if you said 'put your head in the oven' I'd probably do that too Blush

TracyK · 20/04/2011 19:54

Were these from the UK web sites cyb?

cyb · 20/04/2011 20:25

Yes I tried to get it REALLY cheap from Amazon US but it wouldnt send to my UK address

TheBolter · 20/04/2011 20:32

I'm booked in for July, the intention being that I will return to normal life after the summer looking all rested and refreshed Wink

TheBolter · 20/04/2011 20:34

Which Avon Anew product would you recommend Noddy?

cyb · 20/04/2011 20:40

ggirl · 20/04/2011 21:10

I thought i had large open pores on my cheeks until a smarmy clarins salesgirl took hold of my cheek and yanked it upwards declaring the problem saggy skin not open pores...could've lamped her.

noddyholder · 20/04/2011 22:42

Oh god I am the mums net old biddy face cream expert I used to be the very opposite I have to say the Avon does work.

c0rns1lk · 20/04/2011 22:47

cyb is that the cheapest place to get the avon stuff?

cyb · 20/04/2011 22:57

Its a lot cheaper than online with Avon

I paid £14 for serum (inc deliv) from Amazon (market place seller though)
its apparently £20 from Avon

Paid £11 inc deliv for Pro Brightening from ebay seller £29 from Avon

I've got nodders phone number so if it doesnt work I'll harrangue her by text

noddyholder · 20/04/2011 23:07

Grin I have Avon lady Monica the magician I call her!

cyb · 20/04/2011 23:07

I tried to be an Avon lady once. I lasted about 3 days

cyb · 20/04/2011 23:08

Does Monica let you give stuff back if it doesnt work?

noddyholder · 20/04/2011 23:08

No but I do use every drop of everything in the vain hope......

Ormirian · 21/04/2011 15:57

Well I got my hand metaphorically slapped for being tempted to thinking I might try Shock Has a look at a few clinics round here and £210 for one 'area'! Unless that 'area' is the size of a small county surely that's a rip off?

I am new to such treatments but.... how much? Will have to learn to love my furrows....

TracyK · 21/04/2011 16:14

Could you go in for a consultation Ormirian? Then go 'ooosch' when they tell you the price and then haggle with them. I'm sure they'd be happy for the business - esp if you say that you are off to x y or z next who are doing it for £180! But choose the place you realyy want to go to in the first place as opposed the cheapest iykwim.

I'm sure thats how much I was quoted. £180 for 1 area £249 for 2 areas.

I paid £65 for 6 zaps of the laser for face veins the other day. The place was dead quiet - and she said I needed 4 lots of it. I'm going to go back and see if I can get a better price - cos thats extortionate for 30 secs work!

Ormirian · 21/04/2011 16:24

I could try but I suspect it won't make enough difference.

What does one 'area' mean though? Is it just one injection?

noddyholder · 21/04/2011 16:45

No its one area Like forehead/crows feet/or number 11s. I paid 199 for forehead and another 40 for number 11s but I don't think I'll get the 2nd area next time as tbh I didn't have too much there so a bit of a waste.

Ormirian · 21/04/2011 16:46

Thankyou.

Will have a think.

c0rns1lk · 21/04/2011 17:52

I really want it on my forehead. Have booked eyelashes today with groupon deal.

cyb · 21/04/2011 17:53

c0rns1lk · 21/04/2011 17:55

here they do different deals each day (for your city) often hair/beauty type things.
