Went for a consultation and ended up getting my forehead done. Eek! In and out in 20 minutes!

Nothing to see yet. She says I won't see a result for a week. She wouldn't do anything else today or even any other areas.

Oh - told a friend at school in what I thought was confidence and she flippin well told another friend who wandered over! Was not happy! Grr. Don't mind you lot knowing . Or people I choose to tell.

Sorry I'm on the iPad

Bottom - botox

Last time it lasted about 8 months but it slowly goes and one day you wake up and realize it's gone. My last lot was in about may last year.

Karbea · 13/04/2011 20:03

Bahahaha!!!

noddyholder · 13/04/2011 21:26

I had it at the end of november.the lines are back but not as bad and I could last another few weeks but have the time next week so am having it then. I only had 25 units which is a quarter of a vial but he is charging me less this time because of that.It was enough no frozen face could still move etc

LovelyDaffs · 17/04/2011 19:16

Well I did it yesterday. I asked for the no 11's to be done and we talked about eyebrows. I have drooping brows, so you can't really see my lid, I said that I'd like them slightly raised, but was wary of the Vulcan look. I was impressed that he didn't try to sell at all, he explained that getting brows right was tricky and they might look a bit vulcan. Apparently if that happens i could go back and have it rectified, but they could end up back where they were in the beginning. I decided not to have that done and stick to the 11's.

Theres no sign of any improvement yet, but he said that that area was the slowest to take effect and was likely to be 10 days.

biryani · 18/04/2011 10:25

I had it done and look slightly Vulcan, but the effect on the forehead is great - now really smooth. I also had a big crease in my forehead which is now gone. I no longer feel the need to wear my fringe long on my forehead! Makeup goes on far better now and my crows' feet are completely gone. Number 11 also much better. Well worth having, but addictive!! Cost - £200, but in South Wales, so probably cheaper than elsewhere.

cybboid · 18/04/2011 10:39

The vulcan thing worries me a bit tbh

I'm already slightly vulcan without the jabs which I'M GETTING ON WEDNESDAY!!

Then I have to go to a funeral on Thursady so I'll probably cry too much and wash it all away? Or crumple my face up so much it stays like that instead?

brimfull · 18/04/2011 12:12

cybbo (ggirl here) you're having botox on wed!?!?!
I am going to get my thread veins zapped I think, then I'll move on to botox Grin
vulcan look you say, does that news presenter with spok brows nothave them naturallly then ?? I am so naive??

GetOrfMoiLand · 18/04/2011 12:17

I went to the consultation - have booked to have my 11s done on 10th May. I was going to have 2 areas done, but am very wary of the vulcan look. i don't want to look like Fiona Bruce.

I am tempted about fillers as well, but think will keep to one insane footabllers wives treatment at a time Grin

Am v excited. It is expensive though, more than I thought. £195 for one area, £390 for two.

brimfull · 18/04/2011 12:28

fiona bruce! that's who I was thinking of..so that's def caused by botox??

I have just booked for thread vein removal ..tomorrow . £45 which I think is a bargain!

LovelyDaffs · 18/04/2011 12:37

I have to admit that I'm also tempted by fillers, I have some lines running from the corners of my mouth down the chin and a really deep crevice between chin and lip. I'm looking a touch Gordon Ramsey - Mr Botox doctor said that fillers would sort it out £250 Dh said I should have done it, but I didn't want to spend too much.

I think I'll wait to see how the botox works first, still have movement.

cybboid · 18/04/2011 12:50

Fiona Bruce is def in the same physical 'box' as me. As is Dr Spock if I'm not careful...

Getorf yours sounds expensive...or mebbe mine is stupidly cheap

Karbea · 18/04/2011 12:58

Hello,

I would say the filler has definitely made a big difference to the big crease I had between my eyebrows. i've still got a few bruises. But generally looking good Smile

GetOrfMoiLand · 18/04/2011 13:04

Bloody Cheltenham innit.

If I had it done in Gloucester it would probably be £50, done dahn the docks.

I actually will have a look round and see f there is anyone cheaper. Mind you this is a Dr doing it for this price, would rather have that actually than a beauty therapist.

cybboid · 18/04/2011 13:05

Mines a dentist. His wife looks AMAZING

faustina · 18/04/2011 14:32

you want to be careful about who you get to do it Getorf - there's definitely an art to it.

NoelEdmondshair · 18/04/2011 16:43

The paralysing the muscles bit worries me my friend.

LovelyDaffs - let us know how you get on with the fillers as my friend has a touch of the Gordon Ramseys too.

She is very lucky to have me doing all this MN research for her.

maddy68 · 18/04/2011 20:19

I have had it done several times - its fantastic - looks natural and I still 'move' I have had filler on my frown lines and that has made a huge difference

MayorNaze · 18/04/2011 20:22

oh christ you're all at it Shock

salvadory · 18/04/2011 22:05

well I had £££££ worth of work (fillers and botox) done by the worlds best the other day and honestly I (and everyone who knows me) cant tell, now I know the effect people go for is supposed to be a subtle one but if I had spent the ££££ it should have cost i might be a little miffed, I'm 37 btw.
Has convinced me that I don't need in the future but ask me again in 10 months when everything (I can't yet notice) is wearing off and see if I am saying the same Grin

LovelyDaffs · 18/04/2011 22:13

Salvadory do you mean that it hasn't worked or that the overall effect is that you don't look any different?

Buda · 19/04/2011 23:04

I'm quite pleased with mine. A week in and the doc said I wouldn't see a diff till today but I have seen a gradual improvement.

My sis didn't know till I told her yesterday and apparently she was looking at me on Friday and bemoaning the fact that I am five years older and have less lines!!! I also have less children which may have something to do with het stressed look!!

Can I ask all you botoxers, have you got lovely textured skin PRE botox? Cos I'm open pored, sun spotted

She said it would be like painting a flaking wall

noddyholder · 20/04/2011 15:52

Sorry cyb I just posted a link for you on wrong thread!

cyb · 20/04/2011 15:58

S'okay seen it, looks good

noddyholder · 20/04/2011 16:00

Botox and skin texture have absolutelky nothing to do with each other though??? My bloke is so busy I have to wait 10 days am looking as cross as I feel as the days go on. The avon anew stuff is miracle worker just don't use all teh time as quite powerful!
