Can I just thank everyone who has posted on here - apart from those with beautious trotters. I thought I was alone with the shame of calloused, hideously shaped hooves that frighten children and some adults. I've trimmed the thick hair that sprouts on my toes ready for spring, but will now take many of the recommendations. Apart from the fish. Would need too many shoals to sort them. x

Buda · 05/04/2011 06:00

Was expecting this thread and had first pedicure of the season on Thursday in advance of the nagging! Flexitolled last night too. Dog now liking my feet a bit too much now though Hmm.

Salon I use has the fish too but am not keen. My feet are so ticklish it even tickles when they use the bladed thing.

Anyway - my feet are now lovely and have lovely red gel polish on fingers and toes. Will last 2 weeks on fingers and a month one toes I am told.

I was also persuaded into having a tiny little diamond on each big toe nail! It's a bit bling but not too bad. Was sitting there having it done and thinking MN won't approve! Then I thought sod 'em! They'll never know!

MmeLindt · 05/04/2011 06:24

Am making a list for DH to bring me back from UK.

What do I need?

Buda · 05/04/2011 08:17

Flexitol. It's def the best foot cream.

Well, I started Phase 1 and cut toenails and soaked in cuticle oil this morning. They're already looking better. It's the heels I'm dreading - they get weird prickly dry skin on them. Blegh. But by the end of the week hopefully the feet will be gaw-juss and you'll all want to kiss my toes

jamaisjedors · 05/04/2011 10:13

Yes, flexitol Mme Lindt

Ok, got the Flexitol. Do I just need the heel balm, or the cuticle stuff too?

Anything else?

AbsDuCroissant · 05/04/2011 11:29

Does Mike maybe have shares in flexitol/chiropodists, given the regularity of this kind of thread? Or is it kind benevolence and a desire to help womens everywhere have desirable feet?

MmeLindt · 05/04/2011 11:32

I think it is more the unwillingness to actually have to look at other people's cracked heels.

You can take the gal out of public service, but you cannot take the public servitude out of the gal.

poorbuthappy · 05/04/2011 11:50

You have just prompted me to make an appt with a local chiropodist as I just started another thread about an annoying corn which I have!
A general tidy up and make lovely will go down a treat I think.

thank you!

i'm starting to feel really ill

noddyholder · 05/04/2011 17:50

What is under your big toes though? I do want to ask though how to get teh discolouration from dark polish off I used rouge noir on toes with no base coat and they look dull and yellowy! Help

Frizzbonce · 05/04/2011 17:52

Credit Crunch Tip Number 297

Best thing in the world for feet - go for a walk on the beach. Or get a bucket of builder sand and stick your feet in it. True.

cybbo · 05/04/2011 17:53

on the rare occasion I've had a pedi (cos i HATE them) they've emery boarded my nails across the surface and that gets rid of yellow

noddyholder · 05/04/2011 17:56

I thank you. Thats my night sorted Grin

FellatioNelson · 05/04/2011 17:57

IK went out in public in the warm weather last week in sandals and unpedicured feet. It was unpleasant for all concerned. I will attend to it this week.

I agree Chiropody is the way forward - tons cheaper and tons more effective than a salon pedicure. Think of it as the same as going to the dental hygienist. Once very six months just because. It keeps them completely under control so all you need to do is the odd top-up with the ped-egg/pumice and then polish.

FellatioNelson · 05/04/2011 17:57

I not Ik. sorry.

noddyholder · 05/04/2011 17:58

I don't like anyone touching my feet weirdo that I am. My sister is always going on about hers but she spends £££££ and they look no different to mine. BTW the pound shop does fake flexitol and it is exactly the same!
