I must be honest, I do not really like tattoos, but each to their own I guess.

MillsAndDoom · 06/03/2011 14:44

back of then neck - that's gotta hurt

withagoat · 06/03/2011 14:45

lol thought you typed "back of the net"

do rubbers work on tattoos?

missmartha · 06/03/2011 14:56

I've got a Japanese friend. She's got her name tattooed on the back of her neck and you can only see it when she wears her hair up. It's about four characters and beautifully done

It actually looks very elegant on her.

gregssausageroll · 06/03/2011 15:41

and?

Emo76 · 06/03/2011 15:58

bet she owns a waterfall cardigan too!

Driftwood999 · 06/03/2011 16:01

Tramp Stamps, that is my honest opinion. Young bodies exploited. Totally alien unless it's part of one's culture. For example, Maori people, for whom tattoos are actually significant in their society. I qualify that with "have what you want as long as you can afford the consequences." AND people on benefits should not be able to ADD to their collection and if they do that is surely proof that the benefit system is way too generous (to some)

noddyholder · 06/03/2011 16:02

Hideous

jalopy · 06/03/2011 16:14

Did it look like a bar code?

MoonGirl1981 · 06/03/2011 16:16

I love tattoos as long as they're nicely done.

I'vee seen a few which look freaking awful must most of them are tasteful and fit nicely on whichever body part they're on.

It's up to the individual what they put on their body.

Tattoos on the back of the neck can look incredibly sexy and I've certainly considered having a tattoo there.

Driftwood999 · 06/03/2011 16:23

Is it true that having a tattoo (for a woman) on the base of the spine it etremely pleasurable? ifygmm.

Meggles76 · 06/03/2011 16:29

Yep, tramp stamps. Where I live, every next mother at the school is getting one. They seem to think they are so hip and cool. Why or why Confused

Meggles76 · 06/03/2011 16:32

Last summer my sister-in-law came over from Japan and I took her in to Cambridge for the day. We saw a woman with a couple of Japanese symbols tattooed on ger shoulders. My sister-in-law turned to me and asked, 'why does that woman have the words 'news' and 'weather' tattooed on her shoulders?' Grin

MoonGirl1981 · 06/03/2011 16:34

Is a myth about lower spine tattoos being pleasureable when they're being done.

Mostly they just hurt!

stressheaderic · 06/03/2011 16:34

I hate tattoos. On anyone. I just don't get them. But each to their own and all that.

yama · 06/03/2011 16:37

I don't see the problem.

Jewelsandgems · 06/03/2011 17:09

I dont mind the really fine writing ones on back of neck - the kind of thing that can can only been seen when hair is up and is only small. For example I actually really like that one posh has on the back of her neck but ouch!

Fluffycloudland77 · 06/03/2011 18:03

My husband did his at 14 years of age with poster paint, biro and a needle. He hates them now he's 46 because people think he's been in prison! (he hasn't).

He hates them on women. But each to their own.

zanz1bar · 06/03/2011 18:30

I recently attended a charity function, a great opportunity for getting dressed up, monsoon did well that week iyswim.
I was just about the only women there who didn,t have a tattoo on my shoulder.
You could date them easily, dolphin-early 1990's Star or sunflower/daisy millenium, anything Chinese in style early 2000's.

TheMonster · 06/03/2011 18:33

Names on the back of the neck. So classy.

Not.

AlistairSim · 06/03/2011 18:34

Why is this in Style and Beauty? Wink

BoffinMum · 06/03/2011 18:40

'This Way Up' would be a good one.

shimmerysilverglitter · 06/03/2011 18:42

Nice bit of "Benefits Bashing" there Driftwood. Not sure of how being on benefits relates to having a tattoo, care to clarify?

Driftwood999 · 06/03/2011 19:07

shimmerysilverglitter As in "unnecessary expenditure" does that help? Please do not label me!!
