I have not bought any nice expensive jeans since before my DC were born! Nearly back to pre-baby weight (3 years on) but obviously very different shape! Went into a Jeans shop and didn't really know what I wanted or what size! The lady looked me up and down and handed me the Levis demi curve ID slim fit. They fit like a glove!!!! They are more like skinny's but hold you in, in all the right places. Flattering around the waist so if you wear long top or dress over the top it doesn't make you look bulky like a tank Grin
The lady ask me my size after and I said 12/14 and I nearly fainted when she said these are a size 10!!!! Shock now would like some flared/bootlegs in same fit/design!!! When I normally buy jeans it takes awhile to wear them in or feel comfy - I think I am going to live in these! Def recommend them.

can I ask how much you paid?

chickenlickin · 15/01/2011 21:13

they were £74.99. can't seem to find many on-line (already looking for the same in a different fit)!

sounds great. Which Jeans shop did you get them from?

chickenlickin · 15/01/2011 21:24

I got them in a shop in Bournemouth where they sell lots of different brands. I must admit they were very helpful (I normally spend hours picking up different sizes and never successful). Try and go somewhere to try them on and get some help as they fir by your shape not your noraml clothes size Shock.

just looking at them just now on the Levi's website

AnnaWulf · 15/01/2011 22:04

They are really great. I got the demi curve too and they fit beautifully (a bit long in the leg but I have bizarrely short legs for a 5' 8" person.)

I got mine from the Next webs-site but they were £90.00.

I also got the 7 for All Mankind Kimmie jeans after everyone raved about them and they were ridiculously long! Would definitely buy the Levis's again and I have never re-bought a pair of jeans.

beverleyjayne · 15/01/2011 22:17

i have just ordered a few pairs off the levi website!!!!

cant wait to they come, they look really nice, fingers crossed they fit lol

PersonalClown · 15/01/2011 22:18

Quick question...do they do different leg lengths??

I have to have at least a 35 inch leg. But i love the idea of jeans that don't gape at the back.

chickenlickin · 15/01/2011 22:54

yes I got the 34inch leg. I am 5'10" and also have trouble with gaping back and always have to wear a belt and then it all rucks up and is uncomfortable - not anymore though!

I absolutely live in my demi skinnies!! I was so lucky to get them from the States when I went there, only 60 dollars and I wish I had bought five pairs.

employmentlawquery · 16/01/2011 03:46

can I ask which shop in Bournemouth please?

Monadami · 16/01/2011 04:03

I did wonder about these new Levis, I saw them recently in the new La Redoute catalogue.

I've never been able to wear Levis as I have thighs and a bum and could never fit in them, I also have this problem with Jeans sitting away from my lower back, so these Jeans sound like they could be great.

Can I ask, do they have a reasonable rise? I can't be doing with exposing my bum everytime I sit down.

AnnaWulf · 16/01/2011 10:16

The rise seems quite high to me (thankfully). Wore them yesterday with no bum-crack on show.

Giddyup · 16/01/2011 11:54

Thanks for the tip. I am in Bournemouth and have said I am a 16 since having DD 10 weeks ago. I have said iwill treat myself to jeans when I reach a comfortabe 14. Then a new wardrobe when I get back to 12 (its been a while since I was a 12 anyway!)

I am guessing you got them at the Bournemouth jeans store? They are really helpful. Although I did stop going there when one of the assistants was too handsome for me to ask for a size 14!

TryLikingClarity · 16/01/2011 16:01

Can you post a link please?

chickenlickin · 16/01/2011 16:26

no worry with bum crack showing, I am going to have to sort out my muffin tops though! This is the shop in bournemouth, they sell on-line but the curves don't seem to be listed, maybe ring them. They seem reasonable price compared to other places. here

I was thinking of ordering some of these to see what the sizing is like before asking my DH to buy me some on his upcoming US business trip, but I've never bought Levis so don't know what the sizing is like? I have Topshop jeans in a 28 , is the sizing similar?? I wear a size 10 in most shops

JustAnother · 16/01/2011 16:59

I went into the Levi store in Regent Street today to get some. They measured me and adviced me on best sizing. Apparently it is better to buy one size too small as they always give and in a couple of days they'll be nice and confortable. I love the fit. Paid £80 for demi curvy straight leg ones.

gregssausageroll · 16/01/2011 17:01

I'm heading to the edinburgh store on thursday to look,

kittya · 17/01/2011 11:10

Why dont you just try them on in the shop and write down your size? then your husband can buy you them when he is in the States, I think £90 is an awful lot of money to pay for jeans especially as he is going there anyway. The are $60.

I have the black straight and the skinny faded ones, both in Demi. They are very flattering.

dottyaboutstripes · 17/01/2011 12:02

Ahhh there speaks someone who doesn't live in the sticks/back of beyond! I don't have a shop to go to Confused Maybe I'll just stick to my topshop skinnies!

LaurieFairyonthetreeEatsCake · 17/01/2011 13:04

The largest size on the Next website is 32 - anyone know what that might equate to?

kittya · 17/01/2011 14:21

a generous 14. Maybe a 16 on a bad day.... Wink thats what mine are Sad

LaurieFairyonthetreeEatsCake · 17/01/2011 14:58

Bugger, they don't go up to my size then (18)

arse!

Shhhh · 17/01/2011 15:51

can find them online but not on next.. anyone link to them on next please Smile.

Like the look of them, im a 14 and need jeans to fit my bum and hips and they sound and look fab. Not keen on going into a levi's store though as I feel elephant size Sad and like they would laugh me out of the shop Blush.

I have a next account of that would work out fine Smile x
