I have not bought any nice expensive jeans since before my DC were born! Nearly back to pre-baby weight (3 years on) but obviously very different shape! Went into a Jeans shop and didn't really know what I wanted or what size! The lady looked me up and down and handed me the Levis demi curve ID slim fit. They fit like a glove!!!! They are more like skinny's but hold you in, in all the right places. Flattering around the waist so if you wear long top or dress over the top it doesn't make you look bulky like a tank Grin
The lady ask me my size after and I said 12/14 and I nearly fainted when she said these are a size 10!!!! Shock now would like some flared/bootlegs in same fit/design!!! When I normally buy jeans it takes awhile to wear them in or feel comfy - I think I am going to live in these! Def recommend them.

monadami, I had the same... said code was applied but when I got the check out the price wasn't being reduced..Hmm When I read more into it I them read about them not qualifying..Hmm. I thought it would have been clearer on the site tbh..Hmm.
Thanks though Grin

Shhhh · 19/01/2011 10:56

monkey, let me know how you get on with yours Smile Have you ordered a pair..?

monkey9237 · 19/01/2011 11:03

Shhhh - I ordered 2 pairs in the end as I wasn't sure which ones would be right! So I ordered slim curve and demi curve both in the skinny style... Hope your bootcuts are nice - let us know! I have a pair of regular Levis in bootcut aleady and was v tempted to play safe and go for them too!

Shhhh · 19/01/2011 20:16

wise lady monkey Grin.

Stupidly I only went for the one style.. I guess the cost made me do so although would end up with one pair so god know why !

Wish I could wear skinnies Sad.

IfYoureHappyAndYouKnowIt · 26/01/2011 23:04

Interested to know whether the levis have come and are as good as you hoped they would be?

Monadami · 27/01/2011 01:37

Had to send mine back, ordered 12 and 14 both too low in rise and tight on bum

gerbiltamer · 27/01/2011 10:56

After owning in the region of 18 pairs of jeans and never being able to find the right fit for my size 14/16 5ft 9 frame I'm very excited about these. I followed all of the measurements on the site and tried a pair of skinnies and straight cuts on in the Levi's shop and decided to plump for the 32/32 in straight. The skinnies are nice, but they're more like jeggings on my muscly/slightly chunky thighs and calves but the straight cut skims them. I bought them before Xmas for £60, a £20 saving via their 'holiday offer'

Since then I've bought two further straight cut pairs in 31/32, in blue sands and black pearl washes respectively. The latter I bought from www.jeansshop.com/product_info.php?product=levis-5700-demi-curve-straight-blue-sands&category=women_jeans_levis-5700-demi-curve-straight&osCsid=94938f5672461454f01e42504ac8e068 and the black ones directly from the Levi's site - a 20% saving at the moment: eu.levi.com/en_GB/shop/products/female-Bottoms-Jeans-&-Pants/Demi-Curve-Straight-057000003.html?insearch=true

I do think trying on and then ordering is the best way forward. The staff in the Levis shop in the States where very helpful and we all came out with two pairs each!! Im glad to see they seem to be coming down in price over here.

IfYoureHappyAndYouKnowIt · 28/01/2011 21:52

That sounds like a good idea Kittya. I'm keen but hard to be sure on size/fit to buy.

kittya · 28/01/2011 22:33

jeans are funny things to get right.

gerbiltamer · 30/01/2011 11:01

It's worth going and trying these on in the Levi's shop. If you're London based the flagship store in Regent Street is full of helpful staff. Sadly the prices are rather £££ and they don't stock all of the sizes/cuts/washes which are available via the UK Levi website.

DilysPrice · 30/01/2011 11:19

Watching this thread to remember what they're called. Currently a very curvy sized 12 but after I've finished the Shred (currently at day 3) I will be a very curvy size 10, oh yes I will, and I will hie me to Regent Street and buy myself a pair as a reward.

gerbiltamer · 30/01/2011 16:09

I wonder what the fourth female body shape they're unveiling soon is?

Gogopops · 30/01/2011 17:08

Just got a pair of the skinny demi curve from Next directory in size 30s (I'm a 12/14, 5'3") and they are a perfect fit.
Went for a dark wash and forgot to wash them before I wore them the first time and got indigo coloured hands and legs!! (The colour has also rubbed off a bit on the inside of my boots). So be warned - wash them before wearing!!
Methinks I shall be getting more of this style.
The perfect jeans at last. Happy Bunny.
Smile

Oh poo Gerbil, just got back from Central London and saw your Regent Street comment. Didn't realise I could have gone there to try them on. Will have to make a visit. Serves me right for not checking threads on my phone whilst out.

southeastastra · 30/01/2011 18:32

i couldn't find these in anything under 32 and i want some too :(

Sorry, meant to say in my last post that Levi's have launched some slightly higher waist ones in this season's collection. They've also increased the size range to a 36 waist and a 36 leg: eu.levi.com/en_GB/shop/products/female-Bottoms-Jeans-&-Pants/Demi-Curve-high-Waist-Straight-047000001.html?insearch=true

lydonsmum · 10/02/2012 17:02

I just bought the new high rise demi curve slim from John Lewis, bizarrely I needed a 32" leg despite being 5'5", but a 30 waist is great and holds in my apple waist nicely. Really dark wash and very comfortable, recommended.

Willabywallaby · 10/02/2012 22:52

Just wanted to say I love that shop in Bournemouth Grin

Willabywallaby · 10/02/2012 22:55

Whoops nearly ordered some.

Geordieminx · 10/02/2012 23:03

Just marking my place.

Love the sound of these

mostboringchatnickname · 10/02/2012 23:55

I have a sizeable backside and smaller waist so assumed the full curve ones would be ideal but the woman in the Levi's shop said these are quite extreme round the waist and hard to get on and she was right. Demi curves are perfect for me.

greyvix · 11/02/2012 00:42

I also have demi curves, and love them. I have straight leg, not skinnies.

IfYoureHappyAndYouKnowIt · 11/02/2012 07:55

Just realised the age of this thread when I saw my post from last year.

I bought some last year having read MN reviews.

Have bought various jeans over the years - Paige, Jbrand, biba etc but rate my Levis as the best. I bought them a year ago and have worn them all year. Really good fit and lots of compliments.

In fact, they are just starting to look a bit faded now so planning a new pair.
