Does this dress exist?

...Or is it only in my mind?

I want a dress which is:

-Warm (preferably knitted)
-Has long sleeves (wrist length)
-Is knee or mid calf length
-Has a straight skirt (not flared)

I think I want black, but am open to suggestion.

I am also open to different neck styles.

Why is it so hard to find?

Can anyone help?

maybe?

fuzzywuzzy · 30/10/2010 14:12

longer

olderandwider · 30/10/2010 14:12

nice colour cowl neck

TethHearseEnd · 30/10/2010 14:12

The Gap one is ok (not keen on dropped waist), but is too short, as are the M&S ones.

I do quite like that polo necked Grattan one- do you think it's knee length?

Gorgeous one here, but it's navy.

different

WhatsWrongWithYou · 30/10/2010 14:15

I thought that gap one was pretty long as it looks pulled up over the belt.

I'm sure you know that slightly above the knee avoids the frump factor! Wink.

TethHearseEnd · 30/10/2010 14:15

pockets = no

pure one = quite like

monsoon = ok, but sleeves a bit short and navy's a bastard to wear.

This was on the same Grattan page as the one fuzzywuzzy showed you.

I bet the models are all really tall, it's hard to work out whether the dresses are kneelength. What height are you?

fuzzywuzzy · 30/10/2010 14:18

If it's slightly above the knee on the models I would assume it would be knee length for us mere mortals....unless you are of model proportions obviously Envy

TethHearseEnd · 30/10/2010 14:20

You haven't seen my knees, What'swrong Grin

Right... you lot are good.

So far I like:

Any further suggestions -or indeed financial contributions- gratefully received.

WhatsWrongWithYou · 30/10/2010 14:28

Or...

pippoltergeist · 30/10/2010 14:29

What about this one with a twist front?

This one with a higher, buttoned neck looks warm and has some cashmere content.

This has a nice cowl neck, and is very similar to this one too.

TethHearseEnd · 30/10/2010 20:23

Thanks for looking pip- not keen on any of those I'm afraid- 1st one don't like neck, 2nd and 4th have pockets and the 3rd is too flared.

Feel free to hate me.

I am beginning to hate myself.

TethHearseEnd · 30/10/2010 20:29

Whatswrong, I like the first kew one... hadn't thought of looking there. Out of stock in my size though Sad

fuzzywuzzy, the first one is a bit per una IYSWIM; second is too short; third is too flared; fourth too short. But I am in awe of your stamina Smile

Ambi, thanks, but I really want a plain colour, preferably black.

Did anyone link to Kew? There is a reasonably long polo necked black knitted dress in there.

Pollyanna · 30/10/2010 20:31

Oops cross posts.
