Treated myself (well dh treated me actually !) to a pair and they arrived yesterday. I wore them on the school run last night, then wore them on a family walk and the school run again today...

I can honestly say I have NEVER had such a comfy pair of boots. I usually loive in uggs come the winter BUT will mostly wearing fitflops ones now!

I got the superboots which are leather, they are a soft leather and fab..

£125 may be a bit pricy BUT imo cheaper than uggs, and just if not more comfy.

have i killed my own thread HmmGrin.

Given the amount of thread going around about these boots and the fact most places are sold out I thought there may have been some interest..? no...???

I just bought the skechers tone up boots for £50 but I have a sneaking suspicion the fitflop ones are much better.

Shhhh · 06/10/2010 14:28

not tried the sketchers one but really surprised how nice the ff ones are. i think they look nice as well which tbh i didn't expect... i honestly thought they would be returned !

where did you get them?

Shhhh · 06/10/2010 14:38

via boots online. 500 bonus points as well.
I just took a risk re size and fit. Im a 4 in their fitflops but verious people said the boots are a small fit but I still went for the 4 and tbh they are roomy but not massive and I find them very easy to put on. (No zips etc)

I really fancy some!

Shhhh · 06/10/2010 14:55

They are fab aren't they, I have the short ones too. Hoping to get the tall ones for my birthday Grin £110 in Barnets (Edinburgh)

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 06/10/2010 15:03

I want some, but got the 7 and could only just get my foot into them (have a very high instep) and they were too big on the foot, and cannot get my foot into the 6.

polyhymnia · 06/10/2010 15:13

Have a leather pair and a suede pair at my local Boots, waiting for me to pick up tomorrow and decide between them. Hope I'm not tempted to keep both! If they're as good as the Fitflop boots I had last winter, will be incredibly comfortable. Glad you like yours.

pluperfect · 06/10/2010 15:19

FanjofortheMammaries, I just had a look, and Boots have the Mukluk in size 8!

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 06/10/2010 15:22

I need the 6 though, but cant get my foot through the ankle hole, I can only get my foot through the hole in the 7 and then the foot is too big :(

Shhhh · 06/10/2010 15:53

oh gutter fanjo Sad. I never have a problem with boots fitting where you have to push your foot in (like the ff ones) as had uggs BUT after reading the reviews I was a bit worried that I may one of the small % with problems..

The mukluk ones are meant to be a bit easier to put on aren't they..?

OP posts:
fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 06/10/2010 15:56

I'm not sure why it is, it's not a fat ankles thing as the ankles were really wide in the 7 once i squeezed them on...

I wanted leather rather than the Mukluks, been looking for alternatives.

Shhhh · 06/10/2010 16:13

no its not the ankle issue...just the instep from what I know... shame Sad

OP posts:
pluperfect · 06/10/2010 16:14

That's a bugger, Fanjo. You did say you had a high instep, and ime, that's not something fashion-conscious shoemakers like to admit exists take into account. I have a high instep, too, and toe-cleavage skimming shoes look vile on me, whereas a nice court shoe flatters.

A pity that Duo Boots don't do "fit" soles, or they would be wiping the floor with the others!

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 06/10/2010 16:24

It is annoying...really like my fitflop sandals too, and they really helped my dodgy knee, so the boots would have been perfect.

Shhhh · 06/10/2010 16:32

i know... buy a pair and fit your own zip Grin

OP posts:
fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 06/10/2010 16:52

or break and reset my ankle so there is a less steep angle Grin

Lulumaam · 06/10/2010 17:11

i've seen these... the knee high ones are £125 and the ankle ones were £99 where i saw them...

i really facny the knee high ones.. they look good and as i am doing well on my slimming world, i thought the fitflop boots would be a help with toning/firming

but they are £££££

but they do look like gorgeous boots aswell

i was going to go for uggs though

can't do both.

thrifty · 06/10/2010 17:32

are they wide? only i quite fancy some boots. I have really wide feet Sad sketchers normally fit, but their shape-ups were too narrow to get my feet into. I have ended up with a pair of MBT trainers from tkmaxx bargain at £45, they are really comfy and definately do something, if only make me stand up straighter. I wondered if fit flops were wider?

Shhhh · 06/10/2010 18:08

I find the boots wider... No idea if I am wide or narrow fit but I defo have room iykwim..

Lulumaam, at £99 it may be suede ones..? Otherwise go back and get them as I couldn't find them cheaper than the £125.

The leather ones are £125.

I must admit, I love my uggs BUT I find these ff a smarter boot iykwim..

Totally agree with the comments. Love, love, love my Superboots, too.

zanz1bar · 06/10/2010 21:12

links please

aJumpedUpPantryBoy · 06/10/2010 21:19

I love mine. I usually have a ridiculous self imposed 'rule' that I don't wear boots until the end of October stupid psychological ploy to pretend it is summer.

I have broken the rule to wear my fitflop boots Grin
