Chocolate brown?

motherinferior · 01/09/2005 16:10

Cod, looks as if they are lowish . I was thinking of wearing them with jeans, to be honest.

I want some boots too. but I must have knee length as that funny short 3/4 length looks horrible on me.

I saw the most perfect ones in Hobbs last winter, 175 quid, with a high heel, black or brown, I would have worn them every day to work and probably to everything I ever went to in the evening

Enid · 01/09/2005 16:13

i would worry the wedges would make me look like mad raver with great clumpy feet and pigtails

motherinferior · 01/09/2005 16:20

I would fall over . Am hoping those biker ones would/will pull together my somewhat chaotic-very-old-student look.

I got these Bykerish Boots last year. They are still going strong. Very hardwearing and chunky making legs look oh so feminime and thin in comparisn! Love mine with skirts and yes I wore with them with tights cod also cool under combats/jeans etc

was reading heat earlier and there was an ad for new look and they had biker boots for £30. They looked nice enough but wont be great quality. Might be an idea if you fancy a pair in addition to your proper winter boots?

got the lovely duo of bath catalogue the other day, some lovely boots in there (for the more ample-calved MNers )

batters haven't bought any of theirs yet, as managed to get away with some purplish pinkish suede ones from clarks last winter..but their suede-covered-heel jobbies in this year's catalogue are v tempting...

boot envy. sigh.

clary · 07/09/2005 12:17

OK just to update for the fat-calved among us (ie me); I can never get on zip-up tight boots, but last yr (well, this yr actually) got some suede stretch ones in Next (with very thin pointy heel) and they were totally fab and fitted and everything. £35 too (bargain) and always much admired. Hoping to wear them this sinter too with long and short skirts and maybe bootcut trousers too (not wedgie or bikery tho) the ones on the top right

clary · 07/09/2005 12:18

wear them this winter even

Cooperoo · 09/09/2005 07:47

Do you think it matters if the boots are baggy at the top? I ordered some from Next which have arrived and I really like but I am worried they are a bit welly boot ish on me at the top. This seems to be what the models look like though (I do not have model legs I hasten to add - just skinny calves). I am in Cyprus so a bit out of touch and would value your opinions. They actually too fat at the top to wear under my jeans as they make a ledge. But I do really like them and think they will be great with skirts....
What do you think??
