Would a camel cape be entirely wise? Or a pair of houlihans a bit too avid?? Who cares!

Please join me ladies. Don't want to be too sad and lonely on a Friday night.......

Right, morning all.

LTEC - so glad the party went well. Was admiring cake on fb - a triumph. Haven't shown in to DH; as a Type A, competitive and slightly neurotic father he would no doubt start researching how he can construct a Dubai style skyscraper princess castle for next year...

OWW - holiday sounds fab. Glad you had a good time.

Hells - another one bites the TS3 teary dust. It is lovely, isn't it. Bonnie was EXACTLY like my DD. Re cords - they look amazing on that model, however the cord makes them look slightly shiny, and I cant help thinking that even though I have pretty long legs, that look wouldn't be good on my size 12 thighs and bottom....

Boots are fab....but £££££ . I have seen some at very other end of the spectrum (not leather and sub £30) but I suspect that is equally not wise as they would fall apart. Something leather and sub-£120 would do me.

Cloudy here today. Wearing my circus wrap dress to work here - you have to scroll down to see it. Very easy to wear. With wedges.

Have a good week everyone!

I really like those cords Hells. Skinny cords could look fabulous I think.

Saw a really good piece of art at Tate Britain/ Fiona Banner on weekend. A huge jet plane trapped in the space suspended from the ceiling. It's one of those ones that are good for children too.

Lovely dress Notyummy

Hells, I bought those cords in black and grey last winter and I think they look good though maybe I am deluded!

DH insisted so I bought the bright pink wrap.

LetThemEatCake · 02/08/2010 11:56

happy birthday to your ds OWW!! welcome back and glad you enjoyed your shopping!!

hells my dress is a Leona Edmiston one - you know I always rave about her dresses, she's one of my fave Aussie designers. But that dress was from her 'vintage' store (read - stuff left over from previous seasons) in Australia, I bought it about 18 months ago. But if you like her stuff, some is available online or check out store in Westfield

i am a cords wearer - have sev pairs - but no way in the world would I pay £170 for them!!

thank you ny and eie for cake comments - also skinny comment eie - you know the way to my heart, cake and thinness!!! Hope things at home improve soon

bunnymother · 02/08/2010 13:05

Morning!

MM - am v conservative dress-wise, so would prob only wear that denim shirt as styled by ASOS ie black skinny trousers. The leather jacket is lovely.

Vin - oh, aren't you a sweetheart offering me your James jeans! Why don't you eBay them and enjoy the cashola you will undoubtedly collect, and perhaps put towards something non-maternity? OMG they are more than £100 new (just did a Google search!)!!

Have prepped DH that twin girls (we are having girls!!) means I need to get more Papillon shoes. And clothes. And and and...

DolceeBanana · 02/08/2010 13:16

Happy Birthday Miss P!

Hells - love those J Brands...but agree you could find cheaper elsewhere...I have several pairs of cords too...straight leg...choc brown and grey...love them.

OWW- Norfolk is fab!

Traceyb - popped quickly back to Bath today after swimming lesson and bought the Tina dress by LKBennett, upon insistence of my DH for wedding... it's 'my' dress...it looks good on, v flattering (DH said, he wasn't going to leave it - it was me to a T!!)...and went for a sort of plummy/purple...to be worn with nude shoes and snakeskin clutch...I'd ummed and ahhed about it - but I do love it!

Got a £10 voucher from LaR as a 'birthday gift', to be used against new season stuff, so v happy!

carciofi · 02/08/2010 13:29

Bunny, twin girls, wonderful!

LTEC, glad the party went well.

Gorgeous dress, Dolcee. My friend bought the same dress for a wedding.

MarshaBrady · 02/08/2010 13:40

Oh Bunny how wonderful. Twin girls!!

OWW glad holiday was fabulous. just saw you are about to start the Dukan. welcome

Hells, the Wang skirt is incredibly unforgiving but now is wonderful post-Dukan. I couldn't have done it before either, but embrace it now. It will also keep me on the straight and narrow. (but is very va va with the VB heels so could wear together in the day if other things dress down a bit).

Can't see fb so will imagine the pics/outfits mentioned

LetThemEatCake · 02/08/2010 13:41

bunny twin girls how exciting and gorgeous!!!

Dolce lovely re dress!!

well, ladies. Forget the fancy cakes, the rhyming treasure hunt clues, the endless role play, the general quest to be a great mother. DD got a fairy diary for her b'day, with a lock and key etc and sections to fill in - my eyes are ... my hair is ... My Mum's name is ... My dad's name is ..

The best thing about my mum is ...

Miss P thinks for a while.

"Those purple and kind of orange shoes you have"

One of my pairs of Blochs. If only I'd known it was that simple.

hellsbelles · 02/08/2010 13:44

NY - bonnie is gorgeous - how lovely that your DD is like her.

o.k...I'm glad I'm not alone in my cords loving . Shall try and find cheaper ones...but may succumb to jbrand as they always fit me best.

LTEC - I shall look out for her stuff - you really did look so beautiful.

Marsha - did you get the AW skirt and did you fair better than me with it? Sounds like the Tate is worth a school holiday trip. I better get planning.

And tracey - what was the verdict on the houlihans? Did they work on you? I was away when you got them and I'm desperate to know.

The AW stuff is so gorgeous at the moment isn't it? I want EVERYTHING. But must restrain myself.

MarshaBrady · 02/08/2010 13:46

yy Hells, probably xpost with you. It is Good

hellsbelles · 02/08/2010 13:46

Marsha - omg - how bizzare - I xposted asking you about the AW and when I refreshed you had already answered! I'm tempted now to retry as I'm a lot slimmer...sounds like it looks amazing.

Bunny - how did I miss that it's twin girls. How wonderful.

hellsbelles · 02/08/2010 13:47

xpost again - sorry!

MarshaBrady · 02/08/2010 13:47

Hells. Yes do, do!

carciofi · 02/08/2010 13:52

I got the J Brand cords on sale but they are a great fit so recommend.

LTEC, aw, very funny!

hellsbelles · 02/08/2010 14:01
  • it's gone. Now I wish I hadn't sent it back...and that I had faith in my dukan! Oh well.
hellsbelles · 02/08/2010 14:01

thanks carcifio

MarshaBrady · 02/08/2010 14:14

ah Hells I was about to say

But is this it?

Could be... slightly different wording.

DolceeBanana · 02/08/2010 14:15

Miss P is quite a little fashionista isn't she? Bless her; and good taste too!

DS and DD had first swimming lesson today; never been in a pool before ; and after a few wobbles from DS initially, they were doggy paddling across the pool, with armbands and toggles keeping them afloat! They loved it! I was sooo emotional...they looked so happy and pleased with themselves! Sorry, just had to share! They've got lessons at 9 am every day this week, but was lovely travelling the deserted roads at 8.30 this am on a sunny morn!

Thanks Carciofi! Really pleased with dress...plus think I'll get loads of wear out of it!

traceybath · 02/08/2010 15:48

Dolcee - love that dress - can imagine you'll look fab in that whole ensemble.

Twin girls - how fab! All your girls will be such a little gang - the first few months may be hard work but it'll soon pay-off. 3 dc's do play together very well I'm assured by all mums of older dc's I know. Apparently you never see them in the holidays as they're off having adventures - or was that Enid Blyton

Hells - houlihans weren't for me - think I'm just too short for them and they made me look stumpier.

I got some j brand skinny cords in charcoal for about £55 from the outnet recently - so keep an eye on there.

Dolcee - H had swimming today but was slightly stressful keeping the youngest two occupied whilst H swam.

Have spent the last two hours assembling ikea flatpack ably assisted by my boys whilst Bea slept.

DolceeBanana · 02/08/2010 16:21

Thanks traceyb. You are kind!

Was lucky today at swimming. DS and DD in same group together, about 8 in pool with 1 teacher, and baby in playpen at side, kept occupied with comings and goings so not too bad!

Outnet J Brands sound real bargain!

Twin girls is indeed fab ! So lovely....and enjoy this pregnancy...do. Don't worry about it all...just look after yourself! Cor, imagine shopping, you girls together! Can't wait to go with mine!

BelligerentGhoul · 02/08/2010 16:26

Oh my God - I LOVE those Chloe boots.

DolceeBanana · 02/08/2010 17:00

Just rushing in to ask Carciofi if she still has the details of the 30% code for LaRedoute? Thanks a million!Don't worry of not....
