As the old one is nearly full!

All & any vaping chat welcome.

No question is too daft to ask. We've all been there at the start of vaping in the minefield that it is.

Only rule is: No Willy Waving!!

Oh I agree, calculating the financial save today is the icing on the cake. So far I haven't smoked about 500 fags. And I smell nice:)

crisp my istick says genuine and it arrived in 2 weeks.

There are some really inspiring stories on this thread, well done to everyone.

It's 11 weeks tomorrow for me and I'm not missing fags at all. I'm really not liking coffee flavour though!

Hello vapers, good to 'see' you. I haven't read back in the thread yet but just thought I'd pop in with an initial 'hello'.

I haven't smoked a fag for nearly 10 days, according to my app I would have had 150 fags in that time. Shock Like a few others have said, cost wasn't my motivation for stopping, which is just as well given how much I've already spent on vaping!

I first bought an e-cig at the beginning of last year but didn't take to it at first. Then for a while, I tried to gradually introduce it while still smoking- that didn't work either. So 10 days ago, I took the plunge, but I wore a nicotine patch too for the first few days. Probably really not recommended but it worked for me (though I was WIRED with all the nicotine). Am now just using an ecig, and I can't believe it has already become an obsession. In 10 days, I have accumulated about 15 juices, and have already upgraded from my ego battery to an EVOD Twist with a very handsome dual coil tank.

This morning, I was vaping aniseed which was delicious but slightly unnerving in its similarity to Sambucca. This evening I've been on the butterscotch.

Looking forward to reading back a bit and finding out more about vaping (and most probably adding new kit and juices to my wish list...I didn't realise it was going to be so addictive in itself!)

magimedi · 23/03/2015 23:03

Well done on 10 days, Wading.

Great that you are enjoying all the flavours & have up graded on kit.

I think you are going to have a great does of 'shinyitis'.

I would hugely recommend the Istick Eleaf + a mini nautilus as a lovely way to enjoy your vaping.

...also wondering whether I'm brave enough to gatecrash the Brighton meet. Eeeeek!

Wadingthroughsoup · 23/03/2015 23:04

Oooh thank you magimedi for the lovely welcome :)

'shinyitis'- yes, that's exactly it! My OH is finding it quite amusing that I keep whizzing off to the vape shop every couple of days to look at stuff.

Wadingthroughsoup · 23/03/2015 23:06

I really love the look of those eleafs. The owner of the vape shop I go to was using one today!

magimedi · 23/03/2015 23:15

I have been vaping for over two & half years & upgraded to an eleaf + mini nautilus about six weeks ago, having always used basic ego batteries & clearos before.

I am in vape heaven. My eleaf is known as "My precious" now.

If you have the money & are going to be a committed vaper - go for it.

You won't regret it!

Oh & there is no 'crashing' of the Brighton meet up - E V E R Y O N E is welcome, please, please come along.

Are you local (ish) to Brighton?

magimedi · 23/03/2015 23:17

Am now just wondering if your local vape shop is the same as mine??

Mine is the Vapour Room in Eastbourne.

Wadingthroughsoup · 23/03/2015 23:20

Lol @ Grin

I haven't decided yet whether I will become a committed long-term vaper...I certainly love it at the moment and won't stop it anytime soon. But my initial plan was to use it as a tool to gradually reduce and eventually stop nicotine use altogether. Hmmmm, we'll see!

I am very local to Brighton- just along the coast to the West in the lovely town beginning with W :) I gather you're near Brighton too? I like the thought of coming to the meet but am a bit S C A R E D! Not because I think you're axe murderers but just because you might not like me. Maybe I'm not Mumsnetty enough...or something.

I have been on meets on another forum and I was scared about that too at first but all went fine so I should probably just bite the bullet!

Wadingthroughsoup · 23/03/2015 23:25

Ah...crossed posts. I have a Vapour Room in my town! Have only been in there once though, I normally go to the craply named Cheeky Smoke. The owner is lovely though.

magimedi · 23/03/2015 23:26

Oh, FFS, Wading (in the nicest possible way) - we are just a random bunch of vapers who are going to meet. Not one of us is a steyotype of MN (which I don't think exists).

If you are in 'W' your vape shop is a branch of mine in Eastbourne & I think lovely Barry is theer some days.
