First win for Palace which was great although it’s a shame non of our strikers can score 😂

Greetings from Chesterfield. Been waiting until we're five games in to see how things are shaping up.

It hasn't been an inauspicious start to the season - one win, two draws and two defeats - and indeed the usual suspects on the Fans' Forum are already calling for the head of the manager, the programme seller and the pie seller 🤦‍♀️ But .....

..... I see it coming together as every game is played. We brought in a lot of new players and we need a bit of time to work out what our best team us. It's central defence where the problem is: need to get that sorted. Having said that, the lack of said defence made for a very exciting 3-3 home draw against Barnet yesterday 💙⚽️

We're loving Remeao Hutton; he's settled in a dream at right back. I also like the look of Josh Koroma and think he'll play a big part.

We're off to Oldham next Saturday, followed by some longer away trips to Cheltenham and Crawley. The Spireites' Over 55s will be on the road. Or the train 😍

We'll be there or thereabouts at the end of the season. Count on it.

I don't know if you're familiar with Boundary Park but if not, wrap up! I went there on a Tuesday night in December about 15 years ago and my core body temperature has never recovered!

@TheEyesOfLucyJordon I'm pleased Hutton is doing well for you, felt bad for him Tuesday evening when Ronan Hale's shot deflected off him and into the net for Gillingham's one and only shot on target. A point we certainly did not deserve.

Ah. I have been there but I think it was one of the first games of the season so perhaps I was spared the worst!

The WSL is back this weekend but I haven't done a new thread. The last one didn't get a lot of posters.

Yeah, there's a lot of clashes - it's a shame they've not been scheduled so it's easier to watch.
I think the WSL will be great to watch this year. It seems really competitive.

We did indeed "come on". Havertz had a great game with his goal and that brilliant dummy to let the Captain in for the winner. Raya making amends for the first goal with that stunning save at the death. Looking good.

They did, they put up a good fight and took it to them. Good to see, as in years gone by you could see them crumbling.
Fingers crossed it’s a sign of things to come!

I had watched all the Chelsea games this season and was really worried, especially after they scored within 2 minutes.

But I still had faith that we would at least equalise.

Emi Martinez must have a very sore head today, courtesy of Gabriel. I can imagine the outrage on this thread if Virgil Van Dijk or Dan Burn had done that!

Yes, I saw that on match of the day too. That was so dangerous, but they didn't show it during the match I don't think.

We were very lucky. What's on earth did Gabriel think he was doing. I just think that he just doesn't think sometimes.
