It seems like Slot has gone

Yes, just saw that.

AndNobbyDancing · 30/05/2026 12:42

Socials are saying Iraola is being lined up.

It did seem odd to be leaving Bournemouth just as they got Europe.

burblish · 30/05/2026 12:43

Wow. I really thought when Alonso went to Chelsea, that meant Slot would be staying for at least another season.

Hellohah · 30/05/2026 12:45

I'd be worried about Iraola. I think Bournemouth have played the best football in the league this season so if he can do something with Liverpool, I'd not be best pleased 🤦🏻‍♀️

Wowee! Arsenal's media team knocking it out of the park again.

Loved it, that voice made it too.

TheBabyFatmoss · 30/05/2026 19:39

Palace fan still buzzing from Wednesday and praying Arsenal do something before a penalty shootout 🤞🏻

AndNobbyDancing · 30/05/2026 19:48

I hate penalties. I don't even really care who wins and it still makes me nervous.

I'm a Saints fan but am cheering on Arsenal.

AndNobbyDancing · 30/05/2026 20:02

I don't want to believe it, but with penalties like that I can only surmise that there is corruption.

There is so much money bet on games like this.

burblish · 30/05/2026 20:06

I wish the players who has missed had been Rice, Martinelli and Gyokeres and not two black players. All the racist scum are going to be inhuman towards them now.

TheNewGaard · 30/05/2026 20:08

Still can't believe we didn't get that penalty. They couldn't beat us in open play.

ivyleafgeranium · 30/05/2026 20:10

Feel sorry for the Arsenal fans but the match stats do look as though PSG dominated. Didn’t watch it but it appears that Arsenal played quite defensively?

Yeah I think Arsenal defended well but PSG had 3x as many shots and the lions share of possession. I think daft as it sounds Arsenal scored too early. Penalties is the cruelest way to lose but it was almost inevitable that was how the game was going to be decided given the way it went in the 90 minutes.

I agree it’s a shame it was the black players who missed. I hope they don’t get any abuse but I fear they will.

Racist scum will always find a reason to spout their vile shit. Every player has been immense this season and none more so than Gabriel. I am proud of the team, tomorrow hopefully seeing all the fans at the parade will help ease the pain a little.
COYG…..!

TheNewGaard · 30/05/2026 20:22

PSG had most possession, but they did very little with it. They got a lucky penalty, and Arsenal should have had a penalty - and then it would have been game over.

Hellohah · 30/05/2026 20:29

PSG were not as good as I've seen them but were still the better team.
Didn't think it was a penalty for Arsenal as think Madueke dragged the defender down. Also think PSG unlucky to not to have been given that one for Saka handball.
Right result, but I bloody hate penalties.

JasonTindallsTan · 30/05/2026 20:31

Both teams had a penalty shout. I’m still baffled how that Saka handball wasn’t given but I think if the Madueke one was given it wouldn’t have been overturned.

Agree with everything you’ve said.

Yep, me too.

Penalties are an awful way to lose.

Tiswa · 31/05/2026 08:18

I agree I think the early goal changed the game and almost made penalties inevitable- I think that Arsenal still lack that goal scorer to truly move from being a great team to an amazing one - one that could give them record books

how can you end it though other than penalties and hated the silver goal goal golden era

DuncinToffee · 31/05/2026 08:53

Aw, sorry Gooners

Aw, sorry Gooners

Thanks, but in a way I am pleased we lost because hopefully Areteta will realise that you can't win the CL by parking the bus.

We did exactly what other teams in the PL do to us and it isn't good for football.

I think Arteta was too worried about being humiliated by PSG and so decided to just defend.

ivyleafgeranium · 31/05/2026 18:26

They have the capability to play really lovely football. If they do more of that and add it to their great set pieces and defending they will be what everyone wants to see in a championship winning team. I think you can win the CL by parking the bus, Chelsea did it, but it is not want anyone wants to watch and that has to ultimately be what top level football should deliver. I forgive my club (Leyton Orient) as we don’t really have the skill levels but Arsenal do and I want to see it.

Yes, hopefully Arteta will be more confident next year now that we have actually won the PL.

I think that he can take risks as he showed by playing MLS in mid-field so let's hope that he will allow us to start attacking the better teams.
