Happy New Year.

This is going to be an interesting year with the regulation change.

Rumours are Mercedes and RB engines are exploiting a loophole and so may have the most powerful engines.

AM will have a car with significant input from Adrian Newey.

Sauber becomes Audi and we have an 11th team, Cadillac.

Christian Horner seems very keen to get back into F1, preferably Alpine with Flávio - they deserve each other.

There is closed door testing in Barcelona then open testing from 11 February at Sakhir.

I got home from work and waited for DS to get in (6pm) so we could watch episode one together (literally the only TV he watches is F1, DTS, and 1% club and gladiators ) ...but hes gone out again before we finished episode 1! 🤣
He'll probably binge watch the rest tomorrow! I will watch them over the next week probably

I’ve watched two episodes of DTS and enjoyed it so far.

Woke up today on holiday in Italy with a fever and can’t go back to sleep so about to watch another one. Apparently they sell pseudoephidrine over the counter here so will be hitting them up for some meds today. The village I’m travelling to next has a pharmacy but it’s closed on Sunday and Monday (of course). Hardly surprising I’m sick as there are people coughing everywhere here and I’ve been taking buses and trains all over the place. At least my hotel room doesn’t feel overheated anymore 🤣

Anyway, looking forward to the Australia race and hope my plan to watch it on TV in Singapore works,out. Might not be able to watch any practice or quali live as it will on at stupid o’clock in Italy. Will be the same for most of you in the UK I guess.

We watched 3 episodes last night and another this morning. There are only 8 episode this season and I will feel bereft when they are finished so not wanting it to be over too soon!

I have now watched all 8 episodes. There was less manufacturing of rivalries.

It also showed the reality of social media on the young drivers. I really felt for Jack Doohan.

Im seeing on social media that Charles LC apparently got married today....or yesterday....but some comments are saying its fake news...? Not that I was expecting an invite! 😄

The stuff with Jack Doohan was awful...and actual death threats and people turning up, must be so scary. No wonder his performance was possibly below par...

Just watched the Doohan/nico episode. Awful he got death threats but what a contrast with how Mercedes treated Kimi with similar

We all know Flávio is awful. It’s a good job Jack has his Dad. I’m glad Haas picked him up as reserve.

Toto has always impressed me with how he protects his drivers. He knows how to nurture Kimi, as I suspect does Bono. Without making this a spoiler Toto’s text to Christian is very classy.

The social media gossip is Charles & Alex had a civil ceremony and there will be a big wedding later on.

I was not sure it was Charles in the car

Maybe there is a mini Charles/Alex on the way?

They missed a trick not featuring Sparkles in the Williams episode

I saw a snippet of interview with Ollie Bearman, he said hed done 3 or 4 days of filming with DTS and none of it had made the final cut, which would be a bummer. And annoying given their schedules are often pretty full on.

I know the tyre test was cancelled and all the airports are closed

I think i read the cars and equipment are already in Melbourne. Not sure about the drivers/teams but they said it was easier to make alternative plans to not stop in Dubai etc

I think it was Formula 2 that had some equipment stuck. Not sure if it still is or not.

I was wondering about the Middle East GP's next month. They can't leave it right to the last minute to decide.

Oof, I just watched the bit where Horner got booed at the O2. Bit uncomfortable. But also surprised at how surprised they were, they clearly do not have their finger on the pulse.

I wonder if it was one of the contributing factors to his sacking - it’s not a good corporate look to have your CEO publicly booed. Sponsors wouldn’t like it.

The pics I saw on social media, I thought the guys hair was a bit too "lego-ish" to be him but maybe an unflattering angle (and it was from far away) ...or maybe they had a decoy...
