This is going to be an interesting year with the regulation change.

Rumours are Mercedes and RB engines are exploiting a loophole and so may have the most powerful engines.

AM will have a car with significant input from Adrian Newey.

Sauber becomes Audi and we have an 11th team, Cadillac.

Christian Horner seems very keen to get back into F1, preferably Alpine with Flávio - they deserve each other.

There is closed door testing in Barcelona then open testing from 11 February at Sakhir.

Just heard clc will be investigated for driving an unsafe car....

That was a very entertaining but made race. So much to be decided off track.
I think Bono is great for a young, excitable Italian.
Pleased the McLarens and the Williams are back on track

Notice they cut away when Oscar tried to spray Kimi. Apparently the drivers with real champagne were told they could not do that.

I love that Kimi had a different bottle to everyone else.

20 sec penalty for Charles

Just saw that! 😳What a catastrophic last lap...when he was potentially on course for a podium....

Why did Charles get a 20 second penalty??

Agree he lost 2 places to GR and MV so the only one disadvantaged from the incident seemed to be himself....?

It was mooted MV might get a 5 second penalty for a pit lane offence....but I havent seen any update on that yet.

I think Charles did deserve the penalty as his car was not steering properly. You could argue he should have retired the car Lewis had a penalty in Singapore of 5 seconds. Maybe that would have been fairer.

I do hope George has a better race in Canada.

I literally just found out this morning. I had Alexa playing ‘classical favourites’ as I was chilling out on the sofa with a coffee. A track that comes up quite often that I really like so I asked her what it is. Her answer didn’t seem to make much sense to me so I typed it into Google and wow, it really is Charles Leclerc the F1 driver. This is it:

It’s well known that he is a self taught pianist. I think he plays by ear rather than being able to read music. I didn’t know he’d composed anything though.

Not to me it’s not. 😂 I guess I’m all about the driving and the cars. But I come from a long line of petrolheads so I’m blaming genetics.
