Always a fantastic competition. Back in the day, before Sky etc, there was one year when we had to follow it via Radio 4 and Teletext!

Well done lads. I only just found out Europe won. Too wound up to watch the end. The American fans were very nasty. This might soften their cough eh?

In the cold light of day, it’s difficult to know what the golf authorities can do about these awful people. Not sure if any got ejected? There needs to be no alcohol perhaps? Someone has just raised guns in USA. Are the crowds searched? Is this safe now? Most Americans are decent but we need the dangerous ones thrown out - very quickly.

A friend of ours who lives in the US was playing golf yesterday. All his three American playing partners said they were supporting Europe because they were embarrassed by the American crowd. I’m sure many Americans are mortified.

I went to that Ryder Cup. I was supporting Europe and was close to Phil's game. I cheered Eur louder, but I politely applauded great shots by Phil. Both him and his wife Amy made eye contact several times and acknowledged my applause. That is what golf and the Ryder Cup should be about.

I think my smart watch thought I was having a medical episode last night! Never experienced anything like it.

The difference was the team element in the first 2 days. Why is it the USA regularly cannot gel as a team and only win (or nearly win) because of the singles? There was never the body language and passion between the US team mates that we witnessed between our lads!

I think the European team is a great example of strong leadership and a desire to engage as players, despite the fact that most of them have hundreds of miles separating them. Great example for gelling together despite obvious restrictions.

The first two days took a physical toll, no doubt about that, but in the end, Europe prevailed.
