Yes, it’s the format which makes the competition isn’t it? Europe traditionally beat the US on the first two days, because our teamwork is always better, but they always fight back on the last day.

Good idea about the mint tea, feeling sick and don't know how I'm going to sleep tonight, whatever the result. Envisaged an evening of revelling in glory, that'll teach me!

This kind of proves that the US players are better on 1-1 play and are terrible at being team players.

We need the ‘rookies’ to get this over the line, really thought some of our top guys would have got a couple of points in early on….

It has always been the same in the Ryder Cup. Man for Man the Americans are stronger. But they just can’t do teamwork, either because of too many egos in the Tiger / Phil era or because American golfers can’t grasp the concept of playing for your mates not for yourself.

The tension is too much! Think we will hold on but we are making hard work of this.

The pressure and noise from the crowds is going to be unbearable for these last few matches though, which is going to unsettle the rookies. I’ll say it again - this is horrible!
