Can they decide the ball was actually out and put Germany through or is the decision in the game final?

The day results are changed after the game is the day I quit watching football.

AndRashfordDancing · 01/12/2022 21:58

That was a v close call. I would feel cheated if I was German.

the80sweregreat · 01/12/2022 21:59

Japan's reaction was fabulous!

Lol. I was just wondering because they can change cards etc after the game.

the80sweregreat · 02/12/2022 04:57

That ball looked as if it was over the line to me
Even with the VAR there is controversy, I thought it was meant to put a stop to it all

Lonelycrab · 02/12/2022 07:35

Incredibly tight call but I think they got it right. In none of the pics is the outside edge clear of the line. Bad luck Germany and well done Japan.

MrsJackGrealish · 02/12/2022 09:05

The play was still in play by a small margin. Imagine being Germany and losing because a few millimetres.

DuncinToffee · 02/12/2022 09:31

Germany relied on other teams to get through and that was their own fault.

Don't think they will be complaining too much about that margin.

Agree, they had 3 games to play well in just like every team. No sympathy here either 👋Well done to Japan for topping what should have been a difficult group.

PanicAtTheBigTesco · 02/12/2022 10:18

Yep too little too late for Germany, I do agree the ball was just in but don't feel too bad for them.

the80sweregreat · 02/12/2022 10:39

I feel sorry for Germany.
Sport can be so brutal

DuncinToffee · 02/12/2022 16:00

Oh Ghana, that penalty miss. I wonder if the emotions are getting the better of them. Big second half coming up.

Ifailed · 02/12/2022 16:01

I feel sorry for Germany.

Why?

DuncinToffee · 02/12/2022 16:50

Twists and turns in this group Shock

AndNobbyDancing · 02/12/2022 16:51

DuncinToffee · 02/12/2022 16:55

All eyes in Uruguay now, 7 minutes

AndNobbyDancing · 02/12/2022 16:56

So hard when nothing they can do but wait.

DuncinToffee · 02/12/2022 16:58

I am glad I am watching this as a neutral Grin

AndNobbyDancing · 02/12/2022 16:59

I'm neutral really but a good friend is South Korean and I know how much this would mean.

So nearly a Ghanaian goal

AndNobbyDancing · 02/12/2022 17:01

The quality on my terrestrial TV is awful. I've been watching on iplayer but it is slighty behind so had to move to terrestrial.
Argentina must have thought it was wrapped up

AndNobbyDancing · 02/12/2022 17:03

I can't believe how many Argentina players have been subbed off.

SK through

DuncinToffee · 02/12/2022 17:04

It's all over, S Korea is through with Portugal

Oblomov22 · 02/12/2022 17:06

Can't believe the disgusting bad sportsmanship of Uruguay players approaching the ref and linesman after the final whistle.
