Tap dancing is great. I'm a dancer so I love that the Arts always get recognition in these ceremonies, even when it's all about the biggest Sports event in the world.

I think it's very beautiful, but waiting for it to get going...

I feel so sad for Tokyo and for the athletes. They prepared so hard for what this Olympics should have been. BBC website says there are unconfirmed reports of protests outside the stadium too. Such a shame that so many have been left so unhappy.

I'm so glad we were able to get our holiday to Japan in, during summer 2019, and before covid paused our other holiday plans. Was such a fabulous place to visit!

In our house we support New Zealand, then GB, then the Netherlands, covering our three nationalities.

My toddler is enjoying the dancing and music. I always cheer for anyone from Cyprus (not usually many) as I lived there as a child and still feel a bit of a connection.
