I mainly agree, and it’s nice to see some positivity because there is so much miserable sniping going on! Two things I don’t agree with:
Maybe they've decided to focus their PR on other things, but I couldn't tell you a personal fact about any of them, their wives names etc. It feels like no one person is bigger or better than the game
Unfortunately there has been some not very savoury publicity about a few of them - Phil foden breaking quarantine and cheating on his pregnant girlfriend in Iceland, Kyle Walker getting a woman pregnant behind his wife’s back and not being there for the child, Jack grealish and the (allegedly drunken) lockdown car crash (he was never breathilised so who knows but very suspicious to be driving like that if you watch the video), Harry Maguire getting arrested in Greece, Kieron trippier being banned for the betting equivalent of “insider trading”… that’s just off the top of my head.
I don’t really care about their private lives (within reason) but there has been quite a bit of off the field publicity.
Except for Henderson once last night, there's been no diving of dirty tactics that I can see
I don’t think he did anything players don’t do routinely week in week out and the focus on it has been totally out of proportion but I think Sterling did dive for the penalty.
Anyway I am not trying to be a downer or spag them off, I think the team is great and I’m honestly on cloud 9, just some observations!
