Any rugby lovers here? Not many of my girlfriends share my love of rugby.

France/Argentina - cracking close match.

Japan/Russia - glad the home team won.

Australia/Fiji fantastic first half.

And now the All Blacks v Springboks - can't wait ....

Yay for the Canadian boys but it looks pretty grim in the BBC pictures. This is going to be a massive game for both sides.

It would be amazing if Japan won this game - such a boost to the nation after another devastating natural disaster

I missed the build up chat. Am I right in thinking that Scotland need to win AND get the bonus point to go through?

A BP win for Scotland puts them to 15 so even if Japan get a losing BP Scotland would go through to face the All Blacks.
If Scotland win without a BP but Japan get a losing BP Japan go through to face the All Blacks.
If Japan win they go through to face South Africa and Ireland get the All Blacks.
I think that's right.

Oh and if Scotland win without a BP and Japan don't get a losing BP they both end up on 14 so Scotland go through because they won the head to head.

Scotland basically kicking the ball to japan allowing them 2 trys. Does my head in. And I bet they don't change tactics in 2nd half. It's sooo annoying.

One last permutation. If Japan scored a BP for tries, Scotland win with a try BP too that puts them level on 15 points. If Japan stay within 4 points they go through with a losing BP tying with Ireland on 16 points. They would top the pool as they beat Ireland so get SA.

Although I don't particularly want Scotland to lose, I really, really want Japan to win. They play fantastic rugby and should take the place of Italy as a tier one team.
