I will go 1-0 Russia.

CardinalSin · 14/06/2018 17:10

2-0 already!

If Emery can get something out of those two opening games we'll be very happy!

ToffeeUp · 14/06/2018 17:34

3-0
Scored by a very Russian looking Russian

CardinalSin · 14/06/2018 17:51

4-0 in stoppage time!

CardinalSin · 14/06/2018 17:54

5!

ToffeeUp · 14/06/2018 17:57

2 quality goals as well

Saudi was poor.

BelfastBloke · 14/06/2018 22:00

Tunisia in the sweepstake? Apparently they’re a very defensive team; their one creative player is injured. So Monday night’s game should be tricky for England.

Loads of empty seats at Egypt v Uruguay

ToffeeUp · 15/06/2018 13:51

I think there are some relieved people that they didn't spend their money on tickets, it has been a poor half.

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 15/06/2018 13:53

Dull first half.
I'd forgotten about bitey Suarez.

Lweji · 15/06/2018 14:17

Signing up.
I support Portugal first and foremost. Then Brazil, then England.

Will have to check the current game later at home.

BelfastBloke · 15/06/2018 14:41

I can’t stand Portugal. Used to like Deco as a player, but he was really a Brazilian. Hate Ronaldo a lot while admiring his work ethic and drive.
Hopefully Spain makes Cristiano unhappy tonight.

I could have watched the whole Egypt Uruguay match but got my times wrong and turned it on with 60min gone. Sounds like I didn’t miss much.
Who’d’ve Thought that Russia would be top of that group...?

Sparkier second half.
I get lots of ironing done during the afternoon games.
Tonight's match should be a cracker. Care to guess a score Lweji?

BelfastBloke · 15/06/2018 14:52

Historically Spain Portugal have been very dull affairs, despite the high level of talented players.

That has to end eventually, surely?

It was quite sad to see Uruguay's manager not being able to get up and celebrate with his team.

Uruguay deserved the win, just. Suarez should have been subbed, Cavani was unlucky, great header from Jiminez.

I doubt it. The last friendlies weren't encouraging for Portugal and I suspect they know each other too well.

But, yes, Portugal-England games have been more exciting. Wink

Lweji · 15/06/2018 15:26

Care to guess a score Lweji?

No. :) We last met in 2012, it seems.
Spain may be off balance due to the coach leaving. But, who knows?
Our SCP players have been through turmoil in recent weeks and still are.

ToffeeUp · 15/06/2018 16:51

Well I enjoyed that first half, just need some goals now.

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 15/06/2018 17:55

Own goal! Poor player.

ToffeeUp · 15/06/2018 17:59

Oh dear, drama for Morocco and they were the better team as well.

But to see how much it means to Iran, I am happy for them.

Second half was disappointing.

BelfastBloke · 15/06/2018 18:28

I completely missed the fact that Fabregas wasn’t selected for the Spanish squad. Was that controversial at the time?

Penalty!

It was a pen, but he also dived and looked for it.

Clunky effort by Nacho. I am usually the first to suspect CR of hamming but I think it was a fair decision.
