If anyone had told me three weeks ago that England would lose by one goal in the semi final after playing really well throughout, I'd have snatched their hand off.

It's been great. Thank you to Gareth and the boys for a fabulous ride. Enjoy your holidays when you eventually get them and COME ON CROATIA!

But England did amazingly well, I've been really proud of them. They are only going to get better now. What's next peeps? Third place? UEFA? Bring it on!

Also to look forward to is the 2019 Women's World Cup.
England, Wales and Scotland can all still qualify

England is playing a crucial qualifier against Wales on 31 August. I hope it is being televised, red button most likely.

I don't think I've ever had a better football season. My team promoted to the premiership in fiNe style, and England doing so so well in the WC.

All is well in my footballing world.

I hope France thrash Croatia. C'mon!!

Been intresting to see how far they'd gone if had gone the other route. Not to take anything away as had done well but when tested less so.
Hopefully by euros they'll be able to score from free play!

There's a video going round here in Brazil of the England fans in Hyde Park throwing beer when England scored. Underneath it says, any nation who throws away that much beer doesn't go unpunished!

The beer throwing seemed to have turned into some kind of competition. The BBC showed different places celebrating like this during half time. I think either Newcastle or Croydon won

I don't like the way some podcasts are saying England (and Belgium) are out of the World Cup. They're not.

It's no fun beating France in the European Cup just to watch them win the World Cup two years later. Good thing it's raining on their parade.

The Croats shouldn't be too unhappy. They had a good campaign, and it was a good game.

But their President is incredibly friendly. I love her outfits.

Don't think the rain is dampening anything. I think they're having an amazing Bastile Day
